Chapter 142 Blocking the Door

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

As long as Aki’s strength increased fast enough, the Yellow-haired Punk was nothing to fear.

He could even turn the tables and leverage the traits of the Bitter Parent Template¹ to finish him off quickly.

This was the fundamental reason he had been so obsessed with becoming powerful.

If the Dual Cultivation Ability² was Aki’s bread and butter, then the Bitter Parent Template was the Sword of Damocles hanging over his head.

It was a constant pressure, forcing him to push his limits and sharpen his skills.

While his life was safe for the moment, he still had to put in the work to ensure he wasn’t being cuckolded.

Kasumi already possessed B-rank³ strength, but at the end of the day, she had zero real combat experience.

If things turned south, there was a ninety percent chance she’d choke, which was exactly why Aki had forced her to quit.

Now that he’d spotted the Yellow-haired Punk’s trail, there was no way he’d let her keep taking those risks.

If the matter ended there, Aki would’ve been content to let it slide; he would’ve considered the punk lucky.

But he couldn’t forget the way that fat Department Manager looked at them.

When they’d kissed right in front of the man-and Kasumi had tossed her badge and walked out-the guy’s expression had been pure venom.

Things were clearly just getting started.

Besides, Aki’s gut hadn’t been wrong yet.

Even after they’d returned home, that lingering sense of irritation hadn’t faded; if anything, it had gotten worse.

It was obvious that their little baiting tactic had worked, and the Yellow-haired Punk was already preparing to jump down their throats.

After Kasumi resigned, she immediately started getting the company logistics in order.

With the Gremory family backing them, everything was smooth sailing.

Even though most of the staff were still minors, they were getting the green light at every turn.

 Sunday, 8:00 AM.

The Takamine mother and daughters finished packing. The three of them were just about to head to their second base to keep working on the company setup.

Suddenly, a heavy knock echoed at the front door. A group of uninvited guests was blocking the Takamine Family’s entrance.

”Who are you? Can I help you?”

After the initial surprise, Kasumi quickly regained her composure.

She wasn’t some helpless damsel anymore. Even though the men in black suits looked like trouble, if it came down to a fight, it wasn’t a given who would walk away.

With Kasumi taking point, Sayuri and Ayame stayed quiet.

They stood obediently behind their mother, watching the situation unfold with wary eyes.

The wall of muscle in black suits didn’t bother answering Kasumi.

Instead, they bowed low toward a black luxury car idling at the curb.

The door clicked open. A baby-faced kid with bright yellow hair stepped out, a girl in a skimpy outfit tucked under each arm. He strolled casually toward the three women.

 ”Kasumi-obasan, it’s been a long time.”

He smirked, his eyes wandering shamelessly over Kasumi’s body.

He kept darting glances at the Sister Flowers behind her, a flicker of raw lust dancing in his eyes.

Aki caught the whole performance as he walked up to the commotion.

Rage flared in his chest, but he shoved it down deep.

He wasn’t much of a mastermind, but he had a handle on his emotions-a benefit of all the hell he’d been through when he first arrived in this world.

It looked like this Yellow-haired Punk was the one in charge.

However, until he mapped out the kid’s background and checked for any bigger players behind the curtain, Aki wasn’t going to show his hand.

When he moved, he wanted it to be final-a total purge that left no loose ends.

Kasumi looked at the thuggish brat and then at the two flushed, half-naked girls beside him. A wave of revulsion hit her.

Despite her disgust, she looked closer and realized she knew exactly who he was.

”Ming-kun? Is that really you? What happened to you?”

”Glad to see Kasumi-obasan hasn’t forgotten me. After all the help my family gave you, I’d hope you’d remember what your benefactor’s son looks like.”

The boy Kasumi called Ming-kun gave a smug, self-satisfied grin.

He reached out to grab Kasumi’s hand, but she pulled back without a second thought.

 ”Ming-kun, why are you here?”

Kasumi knit her brows and stepped back, putting some distance between them.

She didn’t feel like relitigating the past few years with him.

Even ignoring the fact that she had two billion yen from Aki’s parents and didn’t need the job, she’d never been a slacker.

When his father hired her, she’d worked as hard as anyone else.

The value she brought to that company far outweighed what they’d paid her. Every cent of her salary was earned through sweat and hard work; it wasn’t a charity case.

The Yellow-haired Punk didn’t seem bothered by the rejection.

Instead, he just laughed. “It’s nothing major. I just heard Kasumi-obasan quit over some guy-and even walked away from her last month’s pay. I had to see what kind of man had that much pull.”

Hearing this, Aki revealed a meaningful smile.

It was a very familiar plot development; it was time for his performance.

He shifted his weight, letting his physique settle back into the softer shape he had before his Dual Cultivation Ability awakened.

He adjusted his eyes and posture, making sure his entire vibe screamed “victim.”

He didn’t have the black-rimmed glasses, but that was just a bonus. Most of the guys in these cuckold stories didn’t wear them anyway.

It was usually the fat, sweaty thugs who had the glasses…

 ”Kasumi-nee, is everything okay?”

Aki stepped out slowly, keeping half his body tucked behind Kasumi.

He peeked out with a weak, hesitant look. “Is there… anything I can do to help?”

The Takamine Sisters froze, staring at the version of Aki that was both familiar and strange.

Nobody had filled them in on this part of the plan. Seeing Aki revert to his old self so suddenly caught them completely off guard.

Aki hadn’t expected the punk to show up at their doorstep, so he hadn’t had time to prep the sisters.

Luckily, they were perfectly in sync.

Using Kasumi’s curves to hide his hands, he flashed a few quick signals. The sisters caught on instantly, their shocked expressions smoothing back into the roles they needed to play.

They didn’t know what game he was playing, but they were ready to follow his lead.

”It’s fine, Koaki. Just someone I used to know.”

Kasumi made the introductions. “Ming-kun, this is Koaki. Ming-kun is the son of my Company President. Honestly, if I hadn’t been so overwhelmed trying to raise four kids at once, you two might have grown up as brothers.”

(So he’s the one. He actually went through with the whole ‘Yellow-haired Punk’ look. Aside from the face, he’s nothing like the original protagonist I remember.)

(But that obsession with playing with women hasn’t changed a bit.)

Aki sized him up, his gaze lingering on the two girls whose faces were flushed an unnatural shade of red.

He was intimately familiar with this “original protagonist.”

Back in his old life, watching the anime hadn’t been enough; he’d tracked down every chapter of the source material.

Aside from looking like a typical victim, the guy was a total animal. Even his “equipment” was pure NTR-protagonist tier.

He loved breaking women, treating them like objects. He’d turned trains, theaters, public restrooms, and malls into his own personal playgrounds.

Even if a girl got pregnant, the second she hit her stable period, he’d have her in erotic cosplay and get back to work.

Since he never “gave away” his girls in the story, the self-insert factor was actually pretty high, and Aki had used that material plenty of times.

But seeing it play out now, it was clear the butterfly effect had pushed Ming-kun fully into the role of a villainous thug. And now, he was targeting the Takamine Family.

Whatever he’d been in the story didn’t matter. He was a threat now, and Aki wasn’t about to let him walk.

While Aki was running the numbers in his head, the boy was busy staring him down.

”So it’s you. You’re the one who stole my spot in Kasumi-obasan’s house, and now you’re trying to steal her from me, too.”

Ming-kun’s face twisted into a mask of pure malice. The words were so pathetic Aki almost felt bad for him.

(Your dad wasn’t as rich as mine. How is that my fault?)

As for “stealing” Kasumi, it was total nonsense. If the kid hadn’t shown up, Kasumi probably wouldn’t have remembered he existed.

She only recognized him because she saw the company logo on the car, which reminded her of the Company President’s confession, which finally triggered the memory of his son.

As for both father and son wanting the same gorgeous widow…

It just went to show that a beautiful woman’s appeal doesn’t have an expiration date.

Aki kept all of this to himself. He needed to end this threat once and for all. He kept his face perfectly innocent, letting Kasumi shield him.

Seeing Aki cowering behind a woman, Ming-kun’s lip curled in disgust. But underneath the bravado, he was drowning in jealousy.

What followed was the usual script-a barrage of insults and trash talk.

But to Aki, the kid’s vocabulary was so weak it lacked any real sting. If he hadn’t been such a good actor, he would’ve laughed in the kid’s face.

Ming-kun wrapped up his little speech, but when he didn’t see any fear in Aki’s eyes, his expression soured.

”Get him! I want one of his legs broken!”

The men in black suits moved as one, fanning out to surround the four of them.

”Just watch it,” the boy added. “Don’t lay a finger on Kasumi-obasan or the two sisters.”

 ”Understood!”

 Summary:

 - Ming-kun is the son of the Company President who previously confessed to Kasumi

Notes:

• Aki – Uesugi Aki (“Natural”) is the Takamine adopted son, an S-Rank Gremory weapon, and organization leader. At 177cm, 75kg with compact muscle, bat wings, a barbed tail, and crimson eyes, his harmless pretty-boy facade masks a cold, strategic predator. Wielding azure flames, illusions, and barriers, he dismantles rivals while mentoring Kasumi, Ayame, Mittelt, and Kalawarner via intimate bonds.

• Y – The first initial/part of the name Y Ddraig Goch.

• Kasumi – Kasumi Takamine, a tall early-forties widow with snow-white porcelain skin, light-brown wavy hair twisted back, and a voluptuous, curvaceous figure, is the resilient matriarch of the Takamine household and mother to Ayame and Little Yuri. A mid-level manager turned entrepreneur, she often wears an office lady uniform and possesses B-rank magical strength. Once employed by a company president, she resigned to found her own business while balancing domestic duties and cultivation training. Shy and reserved, she conceals deep guilt and forbidden desire for Aki—her long-time guardian and the man whose presence awakens her Mana Affinity—protecting him fiercely even as intimate encounters unfold under her daughters’ silent watch.

• Gremory – Rias Gremory, a pure‑blood high‑class devil, sports striking crimson hair, blue eyes, a curvy elegant figure in the Kuoh Academy uniform and a prominent bust. In Dual Cultivation she trembles, is emotionally expressive, extremely sensitive, and faints from pleasure.

Playful and extroverted, she balances a mischievous, teasing nature toward her sister Sayuri with submissive devotion to Aki, whom she calls “Master.” Though she can be quiet and observant, she openly encourages Aki’s advances toward her mother. A B-Rank fighter, she is empathetic toward Aki’s allies.

• Ming – A baby-faced boy with bright yellow hair and a thuggish demeanor. He is the son of Kasumi’s former Company President and harbors deep jealousy toward Aki.

• Takamine Sisters – Two sisters living with Aki who have recently begun Mana extraction.
