Chapter 209 Transformation and Berserk

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

The cat-eared loli’s lithe frame convulsed, her body twitching as she climbed to the peak for the second time under the rhythmic onslaught of Blazing Hot Essence. Aki quickened his pace, his thrusts driving deep until a final, explosive release marked the perfect conclusion to their Dual Cultivation.

Even then, the frequency didn’t falter. Little Aki continued to throb and twitch, the wet, rhythmic sounds of their union echoing through the quiet room. Visibly, the loli’s stomach began to swell, and a milky-white Essence trickled from where their bodies remained fused. One could only imagine how much Life Essence Aki had deposited inside Koneko—he had held back for so long, and in the end, it was inevitable that he would overflow.

The cat-eared loli arched her back, her body still caught in the aftershocks of a climax that refused to subside, wave after wave of pleasure crashing against her senses. Koneko could only gaze ahead, eyes unfocused, her slender, white-stockinged legs locking tightly around Aki’s waist to find some semblance of support.

Morning sunlight spilled across the bed. Aki blinked his eyes open, greeted by the soft, yielding warmth against his chest. He looked down to see the adorable cat-eared girl curled up on top of him.

A sudden, strange sensation caught his attention—he could still feel his Great Dragon buried deep within the soft, tender depths of the kitten’s Flower Valley. As he registered the exquisite sensation lingering from his lower half, a look of pure contentment spread across Aki’s face. A faint, shimmering light enveloped them both, Aki and the Koneko draped over him.

From midday yesterday, the two of them had been at it until late into the night. Asia had initially tried to call Aki for lunch, but as soon as she neared the room, the sounds from within had sent her face flushing a deep, frantic red. By evening, Himejima Akeno had stepped in to call them out, but the commotion inside hadn’t ceased. Resigned, she ultimately decided not to interrupt their Dual Cultivation. After all, eating was merely a habit for them; skipping a meal had no real impact.

And so, Aki and Koneko would rest for a bit, practice Dual Cultivation for a bit, then rest again—a cycle that continued until the cat-eared girl’s stamina and energy were completely exhausted. Only then did they drift into a deep sleep, wrapped tightly in each other’s arms. Because of the sheer frequency of their practice and the lingering Life Essence, they had effectively spent the entire night in a state of continuous cultivation while remaining physically joined.

It wasn’t until Aki carefully and quietly lifted the young girl off his chest that the faint white glow finally dissipated into nothingness. Feeling the surge of Mana that had grown significantly within his body, Aki gently stroked Koneko’s silver-white hair, his expression filled with tenderness.

”You’ve grown quite a bit stronger,” Aki murmured, his voice low and appreciative.

Koneko stirred, but didn’t open her eyes, her breathing steady in the morning light. Only after their first round of Dual Cultivation had he realized that the white-haired loli had already reached S-Rank. Koneko hadn’t offered an explanation, and the situation at the time hadn’t permitted him to press for one—until now, that is, when it finally clicked. No wonder she had rushed into his room so impatiently, demanding Dual Cultivation as soon as the sun rose. She’d likely finished breakfast, moved around a bit, and hit her breakthrough naturally. Fearing that the breakthrough would prevent her from being close to him, she’d snuck back and demanded they continue before anyone else—especially Rias—found out.

He wouldn’t have bothered checking the girls’ strength levels if the feedback from their session hadn’t been so different from the A-Rank virginity he was used to, feeling instead startlingly similar to the S-Rank Rias.

He draped a blanket over the sleeping girl and pulled up his personal interface. As his eyes landed on the two new Talents, his lips curled into a smirk.

[Nekoshou Bloodline]: Substantially increases neural reflexes and speed. Minor increase to strength and physique. Allows transformation into Nekomata form.

[Berserk (Cooldown: 3 days)]: Doubles all attributes. Duration: 10 minutes.

Aki knew Koneko was the strongest of the Nekomata—a true Nekoshou—but he had never been certain if Youkai bloodlines could be categorized as systemic Talent skills. Youkai were beings that could arise from anything: animals, plants, even inanimate or formless objects. If everything were lumped into a single bloodline, the differences between them could be greater than those between a human and a cockroach. It seemed the Dual Cultivation Ability was more powerful than he’d realized, capable of refining and sub-categorizing such traits. He wondered if the bonuses from future Youkai bloodlines, like those of foxes or rabbits, would be additive.

If the Nekoshou talent was within expectations, the [Berserk] talent was a genuine surprise. He’d never seen Koneko use it. He had assumed she simply lacked the talent, but it turned out she’d simply never needed to rely on it.

[Berserk] was a new trump card. Because of the Dual Cultivation Ability’s tendency to strip away the “chaff” and refine the essence, the standard side effects had vanished entirely, and the duration was significantly longer than that of an ordinary Youkai. The enhancement was fixed at double, but compared to the high-cost, high-risk Berserk modes of others, Aki preferred his version.

”No, perhaps ‘Burst’ is a more fitting name,” he whispered to himself.

As his own power grew, the utility of this talent would only multiply. A fixed doubling of all attributes meant that the higher his base stats became, the more terrifying the output. Using it after a multiplier from [Boosted Gear]… just thinking about it made his heart race. He wasn’t entirely certain if the “all attributes” included Qi, Mana, and mental strength, but he planned to test that soon. There were no side effects, only a cooldown.

Before testing [Berserk], he wanted to see what this “Nekomata Transformation” entailed. He had acquired the Devil and Fallen Angel bloodlines, and while he could manifest their traits, the system didn’t give him explicit “transformation” skills for them.

Aki held his breath, slowly mobilizing the nascent, formless energy tucked between his Devil and Fallen Angel bloodlines. In truth, those bloodlines were also just different forms of energy. A human body couldn’t physically sustain multiple types of blood; even those reincarnated by Evil Pieces had only one true blood type. Aki didn’t fully understand the science of it, but in practical terms, it was more like adding a new substance to his being rather than a genetic overhaul.

Whether it was because the energy was too weak or because he lacked experience, the first attempt failed. No ears, no tail.

Just as he grew confused, he felt his Mana begin to harmonize with the Nekoshou bloodline. A faint blue light swirled around him, and a few seconds later, the light faded—and so did Aki.

In his place stood a slender, sleek British Shorthair with soft, grey-blue fur.

 ”Meow…”

Aki opened his mouth, emitting a cute cat’s cry. He hopped onto the floor and looked into the mirror, finally grasping the nature of this “transformation.”

Was this even a Nekomata? It looked like a standard British Shorthair. He wasn’t a cat person, but he recognized the breed. The orange-yellow vertical pupils, the smooth, short grey-blue coat… He turned in a circle, observing himself closely. Aside from his two tails, he didn’t quite look like a household pet. His limbs were longer, more slender, with the stealthy, elusive vibe of a black cat. If he had two tails, he could certainly pass for a Youkai Nekomata.

No sooner had the thought crossed his mind than a second tail sprouted. As he began to pace, the two long, elegant tails swayed in perfect sync.

”Meow~” A flash of human-like surprise crossed the stern cat face.

Aki spent the next few moments playfully tucking and revealing the second tail. Eventually, he decided to keep it hidden; in the Human World, looking like a normal cat was probably more practical than walking around as a two-tailed Youkai. Experiencing the world through the senses of a cat was strangely novel—if he could, he might just stay like this for a while.

 Summary:

After a prolonged session of Dual Cultivation that pushed Koneko to an S-Rank breakthrough, Aki discovers two new system talents: Nekoshou bloodline and the Berserk ability. He experiments with his new transformation talent, successfully manifesting a cat form with dual tails. He finds the experience novel and decides to maintain a low profile in his human form while exploring his newfound powers.

 —

 Trivia:

Koneko is classified as a Nekoshou, the strongest type of Nekomata.

Dual Cultivation with Aki effectively filters out negative side effects of skills like Berserk.

Transformation into a Nekomata involves Mana harmonizing with the specific bloodline energy.

The system treats bloodlines as added substances rather than genetic changes.
