Aki twitched, his mouth curving into a pained smirk as he began the soothing process.
Who knew that while Naruse Mio wouldn’t agree to a Soul Contract, she’d be so hung up on this specific point?
But now, he had a pretty good idea of what was running through Mio’s head.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want the Soul Contract—she just couldn’t handle the method of sealing it. After all, it had only been a month since Mio had been living the life of a regular girl; her moral compass and sensibilities were still stuck in the land of the mundane.
Getting intimate for the first time in front of an audience? Yeah, it was perfectly normal for her to lose her cool.
Aki leaned in, brazenly hugging Mio’s soft, well-endowed form, and stole a kiss from her adorable, pouting lips. Between the girl’s flushed cheeks and her soft, whispered “Aki-bro,” that little hurdle was finally cleared.
Aki wanted to push their relationship a bit further, but it was broad daylight, and they were in the Activity room; Mio, naturally, didn’t give him the opening.

The succubus loli looked like a total obsessive fan while filming, a literal string of drool hanging from the corner of her mouth. When she realized Aki had stopped, she looked genuinely disappointed.
”Aki-sama, keep goin’! I’ve been waitin’ forever for Mio-sama’s big debut, no cap!” Maria chirped, her tone overflowing with hyper-enthusiastic energy.
”Maria…” Mio’s voice drifted in, cold and haunting.
The succubus loli shuddered, finally remembering the subject was standing right there. Facing Mio’s icy, glinting glare, she managed a smile that looked more like a funeral dirge. “Mio… Mio-sama!”
THUMP!
”Kyaaah!”
Without a shred of mercy, a fist hammered into the top of Maria’s head. After sentencing her to wall-staring duty in the corner, Mio grabbed a chess piece, her face still bright red.
”Aki-bro, let’s go with this one.”
Aki looked at the Bishop piece in her hand and nodded. “Works for me. The Bishop role suits you.”
Whether it was the Fire magic inherited from Wilbert or the gravity magic Mio had yet to awaken, she was definitely built to be a glass cannon mage. The Bishop piece would boost her Mana output, making it a perfect match.
Before sealing the deal, however, Aki swapped in a different Bishop piece.
Mio carried two distinct powers within her; a standard Bishop piece wouldn’t hold. Luckily, just like Rias, he had a Mutation Piece. It was a perfect fit for Mio.
Gorgeous Magic Circles flickered and vanished, the piece melting into the ample curves of Mio’s chest.
”Am I… Aki-bro’s Peerage now?”
The red-haired, twin-tailed schoolgirl clasped her hands over her chest, sensing the faint, humming connection to Aki, and murmured to herself.
Aki stroked her silky hair before turning his gaze to the corner, where the succubus loli was crouching with her hands over her head.
”Maria, you want the Rook role?”
Maria’s fighting style was identical to Koneko’s. Despite her petite, adorable loli frame, she relied on raw, violent close-quarters combat. Every punch and kick was all about the “power of miracles.”
So, obviously, the Rook role was the best fit for her.
The succubus loli snuck a glance at Mio. Seeing that the girl wasn’t protesting, she gathered her courage and scurried over to Aki.
”Aki-bro, I’m fine with anything,” Maria said with a grin. “But we had a deal—next time you and Mio-sama go at it, you have to tell me. I need to get that footage, fr fr.”
Aki shot her a look. How long had it been, and she was already trying to commit suicide by Mio? No wonder Mio’s punches were getting heavier; she really didn’t learn her lesson.
Seeing the red-haired schoolgirl’s fists start to crackle, Aki quickly changed the subject.
”Let’s try the Rook piece first, though I don’t think even two Rook pieces are guaranteed to take.”
Aki looked at the keyhole-shaped accessory on the succubus’s collarbone. She had a power sealed inside her, too; once unleashed, she wouldn’t just transform from a loli into a long-legged, busty beauty—her power level would jump through the roof.
Following Aki’s line of sight, the succubus loli looked down at herself.
”Aki-bro, how did you know? Did I mention that to you guys?”
”Your mother, Shela, told the Gremory household,” Aki lied effortlessly.
Because the timeline had shifted, Zolgear never got the chance to threaten the succubus loli into being a double agent, so Maria didn’t dwell on the details.
”Oh, I see. Then let’s start the Contract!” Maria said, practically vibrating with excitement. “I’ve been dyin’ to see what these ‘Evil Pieces’ are all about, it’s gonna be so lit!”
Aki chuckled. It was like seeing a villager from the Underworld getting a look at city life for the first time.

The Contract Magic Circles flared and faded. Two Rook pieces tumbled to the floor.
The result didn’t surprise Aki. His custom-made Evil Pieces were infused with his own Mana and blood. He had a sixth sense for how many pieces a host needed before the reincarnation even began.
The two Rook pieces had failed. No point trying the Bishop or the two remaining Knights.
Aki pulled out eight Pawn pieces. The Boosted Gear was worth seven; Maria, plus the power sealed inside her, should be worth about eight.
The Contract Magic Circles appeared at the succubus loli’s feet, and the eight pieces submerged one after another into her petite, adorable body.
The process took a while. Finally, Aki placed his hand over her firm, shapely chest—fitting perfectly into his palm—and channeled a surge of Mana to finish the job. It was a success.
As the connection settled, Aki looked at the succubus loli with genuine surprise.
He hadn’t expected her potential to be this high. It didn’t seem to lag behind Mio’s at all. Then again, considering her pedigree, it made perfect sense.
Mio’s birth mother was just a normal human, but Maria’s mother was the former Succubus Queen. If Wilbert hadn’t used a special method to pass his power onto Mio, her “heaven-sent” sister probably wouldn’t have been half the fighter she was now.
If she got lucky and successfully synthesized all the elite genes from Shela and Wilbert, Maria’s potential was likely the highest in the Occult Research Club.
While Aki was busy marveling at Maria’s potential, the succubus loli—who talked a big game—was still dazed and blushing from getting her chest groped.
Mio spotted Maria’s state instantly and teased the truth out of her without missing a beat.
Then, the merciless mockery began. But once the succubus loli snapped out of her shyness, the red-haired twin-tailed girl was quickly back on the defensive.
How could a tsundere schoolgirl ever win against a succubus? Especially one who had been plotting against her this whole time.
Aki didn’t interrupt the sisters’ bickering; he was terrified that if he jumped in, it would turn into a “Sister Feast.”

Ravel was thrilled to call him by his name, even if she wasn’t quite used to it yet. She figured it wouldn’t take long to break the habit.
”It’s Saturday tomorrow. I should be free. What’s up?”
”I want you to accompany me back to the Underworld.”
Ravel twirled a golden drill-curl around her finger, looking a bit shy. “I haven’t told my family that I’ve become your Queen yet.”
”As long as they don’t mind, I’d be more than happy to visit the Phoenix clan.”
Aki didn’t have any hard feelings toward the Phoenix clan.
As for Riser Phoenix, that yellow-haired punk—they hadn’t gotten along, but the guy had already paid a heavy enough price.
Especially when he remembered how all of Riser’s former schoolgirl Peerage had been “filled” into cream puffs by his own hand, he just felt pity for the guy.

Nearing the end of his lifespan, he leads a faction to eliminate Mio, fears the Gremory house, and seeks Wilbert’s power to survive. Though he monitors remote magic, timeline shifts spared Shela and caused him to fail at threatening Maria, leaving him frustrated.
• Queen – A devil serving Riser Phenex.
• Ravel – A 16-year-old blonde, twin-tailed Phoenix clan princess and sharp-tongued, pure-blooded Devil. Formerly Riser’s strategist, she now serves as a Queen to Rias and Aki, whom she is deeply infatuated with and closely studies. Clad in lolita attire with flame wings, she is kind-hearted yet protective of her position, harboring anxiety about new peerage members while aiding recovery efforts.
• Phoenix – The Phenex noble clan, from which Riser and Ravel originate, is known for their unique bloodline abilities and the healing properties of their tears.

Following a crushing defeat by Aki that dissolved his peerage and influence, this arrogant, traumatized leader is driven by obsession and hatred, having lost his fiancée Rias Gremory while still pursuing Super-Devil status.
