Aki used his foot to flip the man over.
On the mangled face, the bridge of the nose had completely collapsed.
”Turns out he just fainted from the pain. I almost thought I accidentally killed him.” He curled his lip, kicked the Yellow-haired Punk aside, and walked toward the last two.
The two who had just exited the convenience store reached into their jackets, staring tensely at Aki.
”You guys better behave. I don’t have plans to kill anyone for now, but if you resist, you’ll have to bear the consequences.” The two instinctively looked at the Yellow-haired Punk lying on the ground, and their movements to pull out their daggers paused.
”Hey, brother, we’re just passing through. Don’t worry, we won’t report this.”
”Right, we’re leaving right now.” Aki said playfully, “Oh? So you guys aren’t with them?”
”Haha…” After two dry laughs, one of the sallow-faced Yellow-haired Punks said, “How could that be? We don’t even know those three.”
Aki remained unmoved and continued forward.
”It doesn’t really matter if you are or not. I just don’t like the look of you and want to give you a beating.”
Their faces turned grim.
After exchanging a look, they glanced at the tall youth who was only a step away from Sakuramachi Touko.
”Do it!” As the words hit the ground, the two pulled out shimmering daggers and charged at Aki.
At the same time, the tall youth lunged forward, trying to grab Sakuramachi Touko.
Aki shifted his footing slightly and reached out his right hand, catching one dagger between his index and middle fingers and wrenching it to the side.
Clang! The two daggers collided, and the massive force sent a numbing shock through their palms, sending the daggers flying.

Aki released his fingers, and the two daggers hit the ground in succession.
The two men were terrified, clutching their trembling wrists as they backed away.

The tall youth lunging at her suddenly froze in place, then toppled forward, hitting the ground and staying motionless.
The threatening words cut off abruptly as they looked in utter shock at the tall youth who had suddenly fallen.
Aki cocked an eyebrow, “Go on. Why’d you stop?”
”How… how can this be…” Already cowards at heart, the two retreated in a panic, their hearts filled with nothing but dread.
”For people who aren’t together, your cooperation was remarkably synchronized. Is this what they call kindred spirits among the same breed?” Aki quipped, not wanting to waste any more time.
Enemies of this level didn’t even serve as a warm-up for him.
His movements were so fast the opposition couldn’t see them clearly, and his strength was overwhelming.
The combined power of all five men didn’t equal the strength in one of his hands.
He flicked his toe, and a dagger flew into the air, its hilt landing precisely in Aki’s hand.
”Choose. Do you want to save your own lives, or do you want to save your brother’s life?” Looking at each other, the two simultaneously backed away, putting distance between themselves.
They watched each other warily, bodies tense, searching for an opening to strike.
An outsider seeing this would never guess they had looked ready to face life and death together moments ago.
Seeing this, Aki gave a mocking laugh, “Don’t misunderstand. I have no interest in testing your brotherhood. I’m referring to the ‘brother’ down there.” To make sure they didn’t get the wrong idea again, he pointed the dagger specifically at their crotches.
Their faces turned pale and then flushed.
Without the guy down there, they’d rather be dead.
That was the thought, but if they were actually dead, they’d truly have nothing left.
”I don’t have time to waste with you. I’ll give you three seconds. If you can’t make a decision, I’ll make it for you personally.”
”…”
”Time’s up.” The moment the words hit the ground, Aki was already beside them.
With a flick of his palm, the sharp dagger slit their windpipes.

”Maybe…” Aki didn’t know what these five had done in the past, but even in their final moments, the flames of revenge and greed in their eyes hadn’t vanished.
To eliminate any future trouble and to get used to the feeling of killing, he had done it anyway.
”Then you…” Aki shook his head and interrupted, “Enough. I have my own plans.”
Sakuramachi Touko opened her mouth, then sighed.
”I’m just worried you’ll become a Stray Devil³. Besides, if you just leave the bodies here, the police will find you tomorrow.”
”It’s fine. I can handle it.” Aki finished dressing and swept a glance over the five corpses.

Aki grinned and didn’t argue.
