The receptionist looked Aki up and down, a flicker of pity crossing her eyes. Such a handsome young man, yet it seemed his soul had already been snatched away by Miss Miyajima. Why else would he skip class so early in the morning to come looking for her?
”Instructor Miyajima is in, but I can’t guarantee he’ll see you.”
Aki caught the look but didn’t bother explaining. “Could I trouble you to let him know I’m here, then?”
”Sure. Just wait here a moment.”
”Thanks, gorgeous. I’ll buy you dinner sometime.”
The receptionist’s eyes lit up. “Really? Don’t you go backing out on that!”
Aki didn’t answer, offering only a playful smile. With her makeup on, she was a standard beauty, but her long hours at the dojo had given her an incredible physique. Even under the loose kendo gi, her provocative curves were impossible to miss. If she was looking for a “handout,” Aki didn’t mind checking if she had any special Talents.
Seeing his silence, the receptionist gave his shoulder a boisterous pat. “It’s a deal, then. I’ll go tell the Instructor.”

Aki had taken much from Touko, but as a Succubus, she had gained just as much in return. The sheer boost from their Dual Cultivation¹ had pushed her from C-rank straight into B-rank. If she could fully process the sheer volume of Essence² he’d left inside her, she might even hit the peak of B-rank in one go. For anyone else, that would be impossible—but for a Succubus, this was the ultimate shortcut to power. Doing it with Aki was like a “one plus one equals ten” equation. Because his strength was higher than hers, the benefits to her were exponential.
Touko held her breath, spending a full hour refining the Essence. By the time she finished, her new rank had stabilized, and she had even pushed a step further. She didn’t quite hit the peak of B-rank; her current ability wasn’t efficient enough to catch every stray bit of energy. Some of that Essence had bypassed her Mana pools entirely, automatically reinforcing her physical durability. She didn’t mind. If her body was tougher, she could last longer next time. If she could get Aki to leave a few more “deposits,” she’d make up the difference in no time.
Between the Mana and the Essence, the stinging pain between her legs had finally faded enough for her to walk. She dragged her exhausted body out of bed and began cleaning the absolute wreck of an apartment. Once the room was settled, she moved to scrub her own body, which was still coated in Aki’s scent. Seeing the stains on the bed, the floor, and the table, Touko’s legs buckled slightly, and her breath hitched. As a Succubus, this was the first time she’d been so utterly dominated, beaten until her very consciousness had shattered.

”Instructor, I’m telling you, I’m not her boyfriend!” Aki shouted, dodging a vicious strike. “We’re just classmates! I came here to ask you something!”
The bamboo sword whistled through the air. Father Miyajima remained silent, his face a mask of cold fury. He’d ignored Miyuna’s report at first, but once Aki introduced himself, the gravity of the situation hit home. He’d spent weeks listening to his daughter ramble about this boy. Now that he’d forced her to transfer schools, the kid had the balls to show up on his doorstep?
”You’ve got skill, kid. I’ll give you that,” the father growled, his face darkening as Aki continued to evade him. “Now I’m going for real. Don’t complain about the weapon—most of my strength is in this sword.” He paused, his eyes narrowing. “You’ve clearly been trained in hand-to-hand. Stop holding back. Fight me like you mean it.”
”Seriously?” Aki scratched his head. “Fine. But let me take my shirt off. This is the last clean one I have.”
One had been shredded by Himejima Akeno a few days ago; another was ruined by bloodstains yesterday. If this one went, he was out of a uniform. He’d have to ask Rias about a resupply. Since her team’s clothes seemed to explode in every fight, they had to have a massive stash of spares.
As Aki stripped off his top, a collective gasp went up from the apprentices. Even Father Miyajima froze. They had estimated his strength based on his reflexes, but the visual was something else entirely. Aki’s physique was a masterpiece of proportion—lean, elegant, and rippling with explosive power. No one in the room, including the Instructor, even came close.
While the men were stunned, Miyuna the receptionist saw this scene and her previous worries flew away. She licked the corner of her mouth with a charming expression, her eyes filled with lust.
(Fight on. It’s best if you win, but it’s fine if you don’t. At worst, I’ll just use my body to compensate Aki afterward.)
”Alright,” Aki said, loosening up. “Let’s get this over with.”
The Kuoh Academy uniform was stylish, but it was a nightmare to move in. He was terrified of splitting his pants. For a close-quarters fighter, these clothes were basically a debuff.
