 As the lunch break was about to end, we hastily wrapped up our remaining tasks. Compared to me, who was still in a relaxed state, Sherry had already switched gears.

 ”By the way, where are you going for your summer training camp?”

 ”Probably to Vitz in Harbor Town.”

 Our discussion with Lana wasn’t finalized yet, but for now, it was the most likely option. However, the moment Sherry heard the name “Vitz,” she looked surprised and opened her eyes wide.

 ”…Vitz?”

 ”Yeah, Vitz. It’s a town of art and learning, or so I’ve heard… I don’t know much about it, though. What’s up?”

 ”No, nothing.”

 It was clear that her reaction wasn’t just “nothing.” Sherry seemed to have thought of something for a moment.

 ”There are also some bad areas in Vitz, so listen to your guide and avoid dangerous places, okay?”

 ”Yeah, got it…”

 The conversation ended there, and I couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy. But I had no choice but to head to my next class.

 In the afternoon, I met up with Jonathan and attended class. He looked worried because I had disappeared during lunch. I couldn’t tell him that I was making out with the teacher in the classroom, so I told him I was doing extra lessons instead.

 Jonathan nodded in agreement, folding his arms. He’s a good guy. We should go to a cabaret club again when we’re feeling more settled.

 The afternoon classes ended, and evening arrived. I parted ways with Jonathan and headed to the student council room.

 In the student council room, Lana was working on some documents alone. It seemed like no one else was there. Since July, there had been fewer people around.

 ”Good work, President.”

 ”Good work, Alba.”

 ”Let me help you with the documents.”

 ”Thanks, I appreciate it. Okay, so let’s do this…”

 We worked on the documents together. Meanwhile, some other student council members came by, but they left soon after.

 In the midst of the sweltering heat, I finally finished a decent amount of work. Thanks to Sherry, I was able to focus without any distractions during the day.

 As I finished my tasks, Lana came to me with a hesitant look.

 ”By the way, how about the training camp?”

 ”Vitz, sounds great. I’d love to go together.”

 I emphasized the importance of going together. Going alone would be pointless. It’s like being a police errand boy.

 If I go to the training camp with Lana, it’ll be the first time I’ll experience something amazing.

 ”Really, yeah .”

 Lana’s face lit up with joy. Good.

 ”That’s great… Then, let’s do Vitz! We need to decide on a plan, and…”

 Lana pulled out various catalogs from her bag. They were all related to Vitz.

 ”I want to learn magic, but from high school onwards, Magizoology is also important… Vitz is also famous for its magical tool research.”

 ”It’s a port city, so I’m sure people from other countries will come too.”

 ”I’m sure that’s the case. The steam engine is still developing, and science and magic are getting closer…”

 The reason is simple: it’s because that way, I can live a more modern life. I want to be able to take a warm bath and have a refrigerator. I don’t want to live a medieval-level life. I’m willing to pay for convenience.

 So, while chatting about various things, we started making plans for the training camp. Of course, we’ll also take traditional lectures that will help us with our school exams… and…

 ”I was invited by the president, so I’ll definitely go. Rather, I was happy to be invited.”

 ”I do like fish.”

 In the royal capital, seafood isn’t highly valued. The reason is that there are no rivers, lakes, or seas nearby to supply fresh fish and seafood. As someone who used to be Japanese, I find it regrettable.

 Suddenly, I’m getting excited about the camp in many ways.
