 I step into the dimly lit room beyond the sliding door. The room’s light softly illuminates the space──it has that typical brōtḥel-like darkness.

 The room itself isn’t very big. It doesn’t feel cramped, but it doesn’t feel spacious either. If this is on a ship, it might actually be considered large.

 ”Well then…”

 Finally, Neevas is gone. Even if a woman comes, I look around the room, wondering if there’s any other information to find.

 Her answer was already decided.

 ”I want to get out. But is it possible?”

 ”There is a way.”

 I took my wallet out of my pants and pulled out a few gold coins. Nauru gasped when she saw them.

 It must be a huge amount of money for her.

 ”Listen, I trust you. So I want you to trust me too.”

 I gently placed the few gold coins in Nauru’s hand. It was a very straightforward method, but it seemed to work. Nauru nodded obediently.
