Volume 13 Chapter 1 The Suspicion that Chisame Was a Gift Surfaces

(Chronologically, we return to the end of the previous chapter.)
===
We returned to McGaref with Sheryl in tow. Once we reached the research lab in the basement of the Merchant Guild Kinvale¹—the same way we’d entered—Councilor Ralph arrived to meet us.
”Glad to see you back in one piece,” Ralph said. “Six days have passed since you vanished.”
”Wait, did you tell Ralph about everything?” I asked.
”Yeah,” Shiori replied. “I couldn’t finalize the theory without my step-father’s input.”
Well, I won’t say it’s a bad thing. I understand Ralph’s character; he’s basically a research nut. He wouldn’t do anything to disadvantage his adopted daughter, Shiori, who was an invaluable partner in his work.
”By the way…” Ralph said, gesturing toward the woman beside us. “Is she, perhaps—?”
”I’m sorry, but please keep her identity classified,” I said.
Ralph, being a member of the McGaref Council, seemed to have realized Sheryl’s true identity. Although her wounds had healed, she was in poor shape after the massive blood loss. More than anything, she was mentally hollowed out.
”I understand,” Ralph said. “I’ll arrange for a physician we can trust implicitly. It’s probably best not to move her from this building.”
”Oh! Use my room, then,” Shiori offered. “I mostly just nap here anyway, so it’s going to waste.”
No, no, Shiori. Sleep deprivation is the enemy of a clear complexion… though I suspected she was managing that with her various tonics.
”Shiori, can we have Kahoru stay over as her caretaker?” I asked.
”Yeah. Kahoru is the perfect fit for that,” Shiori agreed.
In moments like these, Kahoru’s help was essential. She was the one who had managed to bring Eil-Eil—who lost her entire family except for Natalie in the war—back from the brink of total despair.
”I am… truly sorry for the trouble,” Sheryl murmured weakly. She had already explained the events in the Quvarian Empire. If it weren’t for Weed and his crew, she’d likely be reigning as the new Empress by now. It was a staggering run of bad luck.
”Well, I’m heading home now,” Shion said.
”Wait. Hold on,” I said, stopping her. “You’re still wearing the collar.”
Shion hadn’t removed the slave collar. Her clothes were clean and I’d wiped away the se**n stains, but if she walked back into the classroom like that after being gone for six days, the whole class would be in an uproar.
”Well, if I release your ‘Slave’ status, we risk deactivating that new ‘Mental Healing’² skill you just got, right? Looking at what’s ahead of us, I don’t think we can afford that luxury.”
”Ugh, I mean, you’re right, but…” Shion countered.
By becoming my slave, Shion had been granted the incredibly rare ‘Mental Healing’ skill. It was what had stabilized Sheryl and purged the toxic magic lurking in my own spirit. Based on her skills alone, she was a literal Saint: a resurrection-capable healer with ‘Magic Power Transfer’ and ‘Mental Healing.’ Well, except for her personality.
”Did you just think of something rude?” Shion asked, narrowing her eyes.
”No, heaven forbid! But even if we don’t release the slave status, we could swap the collar for a ring.”
”I refuse,” she said flatly. “A ring would be the ultimate betrayal of Ginga-kun.”
I understood her reasoning, but it didn’t make things easier. “Then how are you going to explain the collar?”
”I’ll tell the truth, of course,” Shion said. “I wanted to keep the fact that you violated every inch of me a secret from Ginga-kun, but honesty is better than a messy lie.”
At that moment, a lewd lust flashed in Shion’s violet eyes, making my skin crawl. When she gets that look, Shion is a predator on par with Hikari. Of course, her primary diet is c**k.
”I’m looking forward to it,” Shion whispered. “Ginga-kun will forgive me, and then he’ll f**k me with everything he’s got just to ‘overwrite’ you. Ah, just thinking about it makes me wet… I might even offer him handcuffs as a form of penance.”
”Wait, then I won’t be able to look Ginga-kun in the eye…” I muttered.
”The fact is that you f**ked me, so just deal with it.”
And so, Shion boldly declared, “I am Nasu-kun’s s*x slave, but Ginga-kun is my lover,” effectively setting the MDGC girls’ competitive spirits ablaze.

”Welcome back, Takumi-sama.”
”We were able to fulfill our duties faithfully while you were away.”
Leaving the Kinvale Merchant Guild, I was greeted by Marina and Ranka at the Merchant Guild Katarina³.
”First, congratulations,” Marina said. “Haruka-sama and the others are progressing through the Labyrinth smoothly; they’ve already cleared the middle floors.”
”As for the deep floors, they are holding their advance as per your instructions, Takumi-sama.”
Impressive, Haruka. Even with Dora’s buffs, she didn’t become the world’s strongest for nothing.
”Glad to hear it. Any word on Chisame yet?” I asked.
”More good news,” Marina replied. “We believe we’ve identified the current owner.”
”Wait, who?”
Weed had mentioned picking up the blade Chisame somewhere, meaning someone else held it in this timeline. Marina gave a wry smile.
”It is the First Princess of the Dragon Kingdom of Enied… the ‘Bitch-Sow’ Rira-sama.”
”Wait… isn’t that…?”
”Yes. The princess of Weed-sama’s home country. Apparently, she fled the country to escape an unwanted engagement.”
I wondered if Weed had been fudging the details. If Chisame was a parting gift from Princess Rira, why did he hand it over to Chinatsu the moment they met? Some guys might give a lady a dagger, but this was a masterwork katana on a completely different scale. Then again, his motive was “I want to duel Chinatsu at her full strength,” so the vibe was different.
”Princess Rira is a heavyweight, right?” I asked.
”Yes. She is ranked fifth in the world. Excluding the Witches, she is the highest-rated combatant alive.”
I thought I heard the sound of Chinatsu licking her lips in anticipation. She was a total battle-junkie. If they meet, a fight to the death is a given.
”And what about Livia?”
”We sympathize with Sheryl-sama’s plight,” Marina said. “The Quvarian Empire is in total chaos. The eastern and southern fronts are collapsing.”
”The death of Military Minister Roshima was a massive blow,” Ranka noted.
That grizzly old man died, huh? We’d fought alongside him against Livia, but man, life is fleeting.
”As for the ‘Witch of the Turning Heavens,’ Livia has not returned home,” Marina continued. “Our network confirms she has arrived in the capital of the Burghan Theocracy, exactly as planned.”
”I have a bad feeling about that,” I muttered.
”We are watching her closely,” Marina assured me. “Councilor Anne’s subordinates have headed there to infiltrate as merchant guild employees.”
This cross-border branch network is the Kinvale Merchant Guild’s greatest strength. This is before Shiori’s massive expansion, but we still have branches in the capitals of nations we aren’t at war with.
”Understood. Then, next…”
I seriously handled my duties as a ruler until I went on break, where I was promptly visited by Chinatsu and Haruka.
”Ah, I smell Takumi-kun. It’s the scent of a male who f**ked Shion-chan senseless and turned her into his s*x slave… ♡”
”Wait, Chinatsu-chan… that’s a bit too specific… Oh, welcome back, Takumi-kun,” Haruka said.
”Yeah, I’m home.”
”Ehehe… Today, I want you to treat this warrior-slave and this magic-girl even worse than you treated Shion-chan! ♡”
”I even brought the slave collars! ♡ Marina-san, Ranka-san, would you two like to join?”
”Oh, is that alright?” Marina asked with a smile. “In that case, we should let him enjoy the flesh of two more devoted slaves.”
”I’ll join my sister in giving your c**k a thorough sucking, and then you can use Chinatsu-sama as you please.”
A sudden plea for a four-way f**k… terrifying. However, having evolved into the ‘Sexual Champion Kaijinou’⁴, I easily brought all four of them to a staggering climax, leaving the floor drenched in the slick evidence of our afternoon.

Summary:
Takumi returns to McGaref with a traumatized Sheryl, placing her under the care of the Merchant Guild. Shion decides to keep her slave collar to maintain a rare healing skill, despite the social scandal it will cause with her lover Ginga. Meanwhile, Takumi learns that the legendary blade Chisame belongs to the runaway Princess Rira, and the chapter ends with Takumi being seduced by four of his subordinates simultaneously.
—
Trivia:
- Six days have passed in the main world since they left.
- Shion’s ‘Mental Healing’ skill was a random drop from the slave contract.
- Princess Rira (The Bitch-Sow) is ranked 5th in the world.
- Minister Roshima, a previous ally/adversary, is confirmed dead.
- Livia is currently in the Burghan Theocracy, not her home country
—
Character Insight:
Shion shows a paradoxical loyalty: she refuses to wear a slave ring because it ‘betrays’ Ginga more than the collar does, yet she actively fantasizes about the s*xual conflict. Takumi is settling into his ‘Sexual Champion’ role, showing less hesitation in balancing his administrative duties with his harem’s demands.

Behind the Scenes:
The author notes a delay in updates due to end-of-year busyness and promotes a new series about a girl named Rinne.
