”He did it again, that guy…!”
My voice of resentment naturally does not reach me in the Imperial Capital of Quvar.
While I was in the middle of a regular meeting with Rira-chan and Shiori-chan, I realized I had become the Emperor again. In other words, that guy, the First Emperor, had come slouching up from the Underworld and bought the country from someone like Princess Flavia.
”That guy,” I asked, “he wouldn’t make Princess Flavia kill herself like he did with Sheryl last time, would he?”
”Aye,” Rira replied, looking grim. “I don’t want to say it, but…”
”Given the common sense of this world and the past actions of the First Emperor Takumi-kun,” Shiori added, “the possibility is high, isn’t it?”
Rira-chan mumbled, but Shiori-chan spoke the result of her honest analysis. Even I know it. There is an option to welcome Flavia as a wife, but he isn’t that type… No, if he considers that I was angry about Sheryl’s death, maybe there’s a chance.
”But Takumi-kun,” Shiori said, “this is a chance, isn’t it?”
”I know,” I replied. “I know, but I just can’t stand it.”
Even though I had been working behind the scenes to seize control of McGaref, he had snatched up the Rook, Knight, and King1 called the Quvarian Empire from on high all at once. It’s precisely because I understand that he is one step ahead that I am so frustrated.
”Due to the nature of the Skill, the whole world knows that Takumi-kun has become the Emperor,” Shiori noted. “I am also able to perceive it properly.”
”I think that’s certain,” I said. “In other words, Livia will know too.”
”The new Emperor of Quvar seems to be a man named Takumi Nasu,” a soldier reported.
”That is correct,” Naje replied. “It matches the name that Eileen-sama was spreading.”
Naje becomes pensive as she stares at her deputy captain, Amira.
”What do you think of this coincidence?” Naje asked. “The name never appeared in our intelligence network, yet Eileen knew it.”
”To be honest, I don’t know,” Amira answered. “I have never heard that Eileen-sama is good at espionage, and her words and actions are transparent to us.”
Naje had been eavesdropping and grasping everything about Eileen discussing things with the Witch of Plenty Clarice and failing to reach a conclusion.
No one can judge how to organize the shocking fact that she ‘knew in advance’ about the new Emperor of Quvar who suddenly appeared.
But Eileen was innocently taking this as a good opportunity.
”Sister, Naje-neesama!” Eileen exclaimed as she entered.
”Eileen-sama,” Naje said, “we are in an important discussion right now…”
”It’s fine, please come in,” I permitted.
As if to say she got what she wanted, Eileen entered the room and began to speak happily.
”See, I told you? Takumi-sama is amazing. Because all of a sudden, he has become the Emperor of the Quvarian Empire. If we entrust the country to Takumi-sama, the Great Lesta Famine can surely be prevented. We won’t have to watch children starve to death.”
The Witch of Plenty Clarice is also standing behind the rattling-on Eileen. Receiving Naje’s gaze, Clarice flashes a vague smile.
”What do you think, Clarice?” Naje asked.
”I think the same,” Clarice replied simply. “If a war doesn’t happen, big brother won’t die. Naje-sama, Tymis-sama, and Amira-sama won’t be executed either. Takumi-sama is a good person who gives us candy.”
”There is only one path I can see in how we will associate with the Quvarian Empire,” Naje concluded. “Let us consult with Father and Elder Brother as well.”
While muttering to herself like that, Naje stares at Eileen once more.
”In your strange memory, we, including Natalie-ane-sama, were loved by Takumi Nasu. That is certain, isn’t it?”
”Yes,” Eileen said. “Sister… was executed after being loved, though.”
”I understand,” Naje said. “Then let us make happen what should happen.”
A beautiful general who has made a name for herself in other countries as well. Naje Lesta stares at Eileen while pushing back her green hair, looking as if she has made up her mind.
”There is no sign of the great famine you are talking about, but this is a good opportunity to extract aid from the Quvarian Empire. I, and you, will apply to become Takumi Nasu’s concubines. If he is obsessed with us, let’s use that.”
However, ironically, reports of an unexpected great crop failure began to come in immediately after, and the Lesta Kingdom fell into great chaos.

• Shiori – A tall, dark-haired researcher in a crisp lab coat, she is an analytical companion known for her political insight and role as Ralph’s adopted daughter. The daughter of a merchant and partner to Takumi, she is a reliable research partner who manages chronic sleep deprivation with medication.
• Rira – Rira is a playful, creative classmate and god-tier companion to Takumi. Sporting short black hair—which she intends to dye blue—and a striking figure, she provides vital emotional and physical support while wielding an evolving ‘Intuition’ skill. Currently balancing her intimate, active role in Takumi’s inner circle with political responsibilities, she remains a key partner in his collaborative endeavors.
• Sheryl – As the Second Princess of the Quvarian Empire, this red-haired former Empress candidate is a brilliant reformer atoning for her nation’s betrayals. A survivor of a past political purge now serving as Takumi’s enslaved spy, she sows chaos from within while providing strategic advice. Despite being politically savvy, she is mentally and physically drained by her ordeal. She debuts in v6c26.
• Takumi – A young Japanese man transmigrated as the First Emperor, Takumi Nash (Emperor Quvar), secretly rules McGaref while posing as a humble adventurer. Frustrated by lost agency and rival machinations, he wields reality-warping skills and the Night Butterfly courtesan house to covertly rebuild his empire. He balances political manipulation and complex past-life memories while shaping the realm from the shadows.

• Naje – The beautiful, highly intelligent first princess and deputy commander of the Lesta Kingdom was once tragically executed for her country. Now, she returns as a formidable general, navigating the complex political landscape and the sudden rise of a new Emperor. Her leadership is defined by her strategic mind, noble identity, and a precarious position in the shifting power dynamics of the realm.
• Amira – Captain of the guard who complies with surrender terms.
• Clarice – The Witch of Abundance from Lesta Kingdom is a young witch who trusts Takumi, largely due to his penchant for providing her with candy. Despite her mysterious origins, she remains hopeful for a peaceful resolution to their circumstances, maintaining a gentle rapport with him that defines her current path.
• Tymis – Deputy commander of the Lesta Kingdom.
• Natalie – Platinum‑blonde, busty, and elegant, she bears the air of a former noblewoman—once a princess of the Lesta Kingdom, later adopted by a Marquis. Known as Natalie Barklem, daughter of the Duke, she wields the ‘Courtesan’ Skill and now serves as Takumi’s exclusive companion and ‘Big Sister’ figure.
• Lesta Kingdom – A kingdom neighboring the Quvarian Empire; currently at war with the Seron Dukedom and potentially the Empire.
