Volume 1 Chapter 11 You Know, Takumi-Chi Really Loves That Kind Of Closeness ♡

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Kurumi-chan had invited me over—she said it was her way of saying thank you. I agreed, even though I could feel the weight of what it meant. It wasn’t just some casual hangout. It was a big step in my life.

Kurumi-chan had been in the basketball club before. She was tall, with short, sporty hair and a strong presence. Yet right now, she was lying with me, our bodies close, her breath warm against my skin. I was doing my best to return the favor she gave with her kindness, trying to make her feel cherished.

”Takumi-kun, I’m happy you’re doing all this for me,” Kurumi-chan said, her voice soft and teasing as she looked down at me. “But… isn’t this taking kind of a long time?”

I remembered what Kahoru-chan had once said—about practicing how to treat a girl right. I hadn’t thought much of it back then, but now, I was thankful I listened.

”Mmm… sorry, Takumi-kun,” Kurumi-chan whispered, her cheeks flushed with color. “I’ll make sure you feel just as good, too…”

We moved gently, listening to the sound of each other’s breathing. Everything was quiet, except for the soft rustle of clothes and the way the bed creaked just slightly beneath us.

”Ahh… Kurumi-chan, you’re amazing,” I said, my words slipping out before I could stop them.

”Hehe, thank you,” Kurumi-chan said with a smile. “If it makes you feel good, then I’m happy… ahh… that part’s really sensitive…”

I tried to keep my focus, responding to the way she moved and breathed. As I reached out to her, guiding my hand gently, I noticed how warm she was. Her skin was soft, and her reactions made me want to hold her even closer.

”Kurumi-chan… I don’t think I can wait anymore,” I said, meeting her eyes.

”I feel the same,” Kurumi-chan replied, her fingers tightening around mine. “I want to be close with you, Takumi-kun…”

We sat up slowly, leaving our earlier position behind. Now we faced each other on the bed, our knees brushing. I leaned forward and kissed her, slow and careful. Even though we’d been close a moment ago, this kiss felt different. Deeper. Like something that belonged to just the two of us. I held her cheek in one hand, and let the other rest gently on her back.

While we kissed, I reached up and gently placed my hand against her chest, the fabric still between us. My other hand trailed lower, slipping past the edge of her skirt, where she was already warm from everything we’d shared.

”Ahh… hey,” Kurumi-chan said with a small laugh, though her face stayed red. “Are you sure it’s okay we skipped the chest part?”

”I think we can save that for later,” I said, giving her a small smile. “Right now… I just want to be closer to you.”

”Mm… I like that,” Kurumi-chan replied, holding onto my arm. “We’ll still be in our school uniforms… and maybe later, I’ll let you see everything. I even brought an overnight bag, so we’ve got all the time we want.”

I gently pushed Kurumi-chan down onto the bed. My heart was racing. Part of me wanted to dive right in, but I knew I couldn’t. Not like that. Word of what we did would probably spread to the other girls eventually. I needed to be careful—respectful. I wanted to be the kind of guy they could trust.

”Kurumi-chan… I’m going to be close with you now,” I said quietly, holding her hand.

”Okay,” she replied, her eyes meeting mine. “But… I have one favor. Even if you don’t mean it completely, could you say you love me while we kiss? And… call me by my name. No honorifics.”

She looked so sincere. How could I say no?

I interlocked my fingers with hers, leaned in, and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek.

”I love you, Kurumi,” I whispered.

”Yeah… I like you too, Takumi-kun,” she replied, eyes a little glassy. “If you weren’t here, I think everything would’ve fallen apart for all of us. I know you love someone else… but for now, just hold me like we’re together…”

I wrapped my arms around Kurumi-chan in her school uniform. She was taller than me, so it was a bit clumsy, but I didn’t care. I wanted to be someone she could lean on. Our lips touched again, this time more intense. I kissed her deeply, letting our emotions guide us.

”Mmph… nn… smack… haah♡ Takumi-kun,” she murmured, blinking slowly, “you can be really bold when you want to.”

”Was that too much?” I asked, brushing her bangs out of her face.

”No… I liked it,” she said, giving a shy smile. “Hey, I want you to hold me now. Let’s become one…”

I reached down and helped her with her skirt, folding it carefully and placing it aside. Then I gently placed my hand between us, pressing close so she’d know I was ready.

”Ahh… mmm… don’t tease me,” she whispered, voice trembling. “It’s our first time since coming here, right? You can go ahead… take your time.”

”Thanks… Kurumi,” I said, taking a breath and leaning in.

Rustle… shift… creak… press…

”Nh, ahh… I can feel you drawing closer,” Kurumi said softly, her breath uneven. “Is this okay for you, Takumi-kun?”

”Yeah,” I replied, brushing hair from her cheek, “it’s warm… but still kind of intense. Doing this in uniforms feels a little strange, doesn’t it?”

”Mhm. At our age, it’s more like playing pretend,” Kurumi said with a faint smile, gently tugging at my earlobe. I answered by lightly tracing the curve of her neck with my fingers, then placing a soft kiss there.

”Hehe, that tickles a little,” she said, her shoulders shivering from the touch. “But… if closeness like this can be so comforting, I wish I’d tried opening up earlier. Most guys just chase distractions—they don’t really see us.”

”I don’t think that’s true for everyone,” I said quietly.

”Takumi-kun, Yawashi-kun… I’m not teasing, really. I just mean—our lives should be full of freedom, like college stories in dramas, right? But every single day, we go out there to face monsters. And even when we survive, it’s barely enough. It’s like… romance doesn’t even have a place here.”

Squish, shift… slide…

Rustle… press… hush…

As we held each other close, I moved gently. Kurumi’s breathing followed mine, her heart syncing with each subtle motion. There was something sacred in this shared silence—something we didn’t need words to explain. We barely had time for connections like this before. Maybe Sakasaki-san’s tragedy changed us too. Her partner vanished. She never recovered.

”Hey, are you mad about Kito-kun or Shion-chan?” she asked, lifting her gaze to mine.

Kito Ginga-kun and Nagasaka Shion-chan… the only other couple in our class. They’d left together with the 1st Division team.

”No, I’m not mad,” I said, shaking my head. “They’re just trying to survive like the rest of us.”

”I thought you’d say that,” Kurumi whispered, a faint light in her eyes. “When this moment ends… there’s something I want to share with you. Something I couldn’t say before. So let’s not rush. Let’s talk, just the two of us, when we’re done… Also, um… could we maybe try something different next?”

”Alright,” I nodded. “Just turn around.”

She shifted position—lying down, then lifting her knees, back arched as she peeked at me over her shoulder. Her cheeks were burning red as she used her fingers to part the hem of her skirt slightly, revealing the vulnerable curve of her lower back.

”Kahoru-chan told me something,” she mumbled, turning her eyes away. “She said Takumi-chi likes when girls are… bold. But it’s hard to look you in the eye when I do this…”

Her voice trembled. Everything about her looked delicate now—her skin damp with nervous warmth, her figure glowing under soft light. My hands shook slightly. I knew what she wanted to say, even if she couldn’t bring herself to use the words.

”Kurumi…” I murmured, brushing my hand gently over her back. “Let’s go slow again.”

She nodded, voice barely above a whisper. “Please… make me feel it. Let me be the only one for now.”

Shift, slide… hush…

Soft press… warm sighs…

”Ah… you’re with me again,” she breathed. “And I think… I kind of like it a little stronger. You don’t need to hold back.”

”Then I’ll trust what you say,” I said, curling my hand into hers. “Let me hear more of your voice, Kurumi.”

Tap… press… steady rhythm…

Soft thuds, a slow echo… a murmur of motion…

I reached out to cradle her gently, my fingers brushing the shape of her chest as we moved in tandem. Our hearts beat louder than any sound in the room. Her voice—shy but sweet—spilled out with each movement, filling the space around us like music only we could hear.

”Mmh… I love this,” she said through a quiet moan. “Takumi-kun, please… I want to feel all of it. Say my name again like that, just once more.”

And so, in this strange place, far from safety or certainty, the two of us drew closer—sharing warmth and feelings too large for either of us to carry alone.
