Volume 4 Chapter 23 JK’s Scaya-san (Plus Takkun Version) Power ★
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I’m with Ginga-kun, and there’s a raw intensity to this moment. Unlike our usual tender encounters, he’s driven by something primal, his emotions laid bare. He’s not just holding me—he’s pouring every ounce of himself into this, as if trying to anchor us both in the present.
I’ve never seen him like this. Not rough, but unguarded, his usual control stripped away. He positions me gently and moves with purpose, his breath coming in sharp gasps. I stay silent, letting him lead, my focus on his rhythm.
”Ugh… huff… huff…”
His ragged breaths fill the air. I suppress my own sounds, letting his emotions guide us.
”Ah… huff… huff…”
A soft sound escapes me despite my efforts.
Heartbeat… thud… thud… thud…
This is different. There’s a vulnerability in his movements, a desperation that tugs at my heart. Until now, he’s always prioritized my comfort. But now, it’s as if he’s seeking solace, a connection to ground him.
”Ugh… huff… ugh… I’m… here…”
He holds me tightly, his release a quiet surrender. His warmth envelops me, a silent promise of presence. As he withdraws, I turn to face him. His expression is soft, tinged with emotion.
”Sorry, Shion-chan…” he whispers.
”It’s okay, Ginga-kun,” I reassure him. “I’m here. No need to explain.”
The war left its mark on us all. Unlike Haruka and Chinatsu, who faced countless battles, Ginga-kun took only a few lives—Clarice’s elite guards, who fought valiantly to protect her. Their courage was undeniable. The final soldier, refusing to yield, charged Ginga-kun, who had no choice but to defend himself. Seeing her comrade fall, Clarice begged for mercy, offering surrender in exchange for his life.
My healing magic and Shiori’s potions saved a few, but most were beyond help. Clarice’s tears as she clung to the fallen—”I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, if only I’d surrendered sooner…”—haunt my memory.
”But the war’s over,” I say gently. “We need to move forward, together.”
”Yeah, you’re right,” he murmurs, his voice steadying.
I pull him into an embrace, whispering into his ear.
”But Ginga-kun, you need a moment to breathe. You were so focused on protecting everyone, weren’t you? It’s okay to let go sometimes.”
”Ah, no, I… shouldn’t have…” he protests.
”It’s okay to feel, Ginga-kun,” I reassure him, pushing him down and tracing his neck with my fingertips. His tension eases, and I straddle him, our hearts aligned.
Gentle rhythm… sway… sway… sway…
”Ginga-kun, I’m here for you,” I murmur.
”I’m here too, Shion-chan,” he replies, his voice firming.
Somewhere, Takumi’s wounds are being healed by Chinatsu and the others. Sayo is likely comforting Kotaro in the same way. Everyone’s carrying their own weight, finding their way forward. I rock gently, savoring the connection. He pulls me close, our foreheads touching in a silent promise.

I’m with Scaya-san, and there’s something different—her outfit.
”Takumi-sama… no, Takkun. This uniform Chinatsu sent from home… it feels so strange to wear. What is it originally?” she asks, her cheeks flushed.
”It’s called a sailor uniform. Originally for sailors, but now it’s what schoolgirls wear,” I explain.
Yes, Scaya-san is wearing a sailor uniform, and it suits her in a way I can’t quite describe. A dark elf in a schoolgirl outfit—it’s a unique sight, to say the least. Aria’s letter accompanied it: “Use this to brighten your day, Takkun. But don’t forget to check in with everyone.” Rusty delivered it, and now I’m here, enjoying this unexpected moment.
”Scaya, show me how it looks,” I request, using Aria’s nickname.
”Yes… Takkun. Like this?” she asks, her voice shy yet obedient.
Her embarrassment only adds to the charm. Aria wanted me to see her in this light, so I oblige.
”It suits you. This outfit must feel like a new experience, huh?”
”Yeah… I’ve never worn anything so… girly. Takkun, I’m so nervous… can I just stay here with you?” she asks, her voice sweet and genuine.
A battle-hardened dark elf, blushing in a schoolgirl uniform—it’s a side of her I’ve never seen. Chinatsu, claiming it’s “practice,” is beside us, uniform-clad, smiling softly.
”It looks great on you, Scaya,” I say, gently adjusting her collar.
”Thank you… it’s just so different…” she replies.
”It’s okay to feel new things,” I reassure her.
Her flushed face and shy demeanor are endearing. I should’ve suggested this sooner. Back in Lesta, I’ll make sure everyone gets a chance to try new things. It’s important to embrace change.
”I’m glad you’re here, Scaya,” I say sincerely.
Chinatsu steps closer, her voice warm.
”Scaya, you’re so cute in this! Takkun’s so happy to see you like this. Just enjoy the moment, okay?” she encourages.
”Okay… Takkun, can I… just stay by your side?” Scaya asks, her voice small.
Her vulnerability only makes her more endearing. She sits beside me, her hand finding mine. Chinatsu sits on my other side, her presence comforting.
”You’re always welcome here, Scaya,” I say, squeezing her hand.
”Takumi’s side is the best place to be,” Chinatsu adds.
”Chinatsu, stop stealing my lines,” I tease, but I’m smiling.
Scaya leans into me, her uniform a soft contrast to her usual armor. Chinatsu rests her head on my shoulder, and for a moment, everything feels right.
”I’m happy, Takkun,” Scaya whispers.
”Me too,” I reply, my heart full.
The moment is peaceful, a rare respite from the chaos of our lives. Scaya’s presence is a reminder that it’s okay to embrace new experiences, to find joy in the small things. As we sit together, I feel a sense of belonging, a quiet strength in our unity.
”Thank you, Takkun,” Scaya says softly.
”For what?” I ask.
”For being here,” she replies simply.
And in that moment, I realize that’s all any of us can do—be there for each other, through every change and challenge. Together, we’ll find our way forward.
