Volume 4 Chapter 4 Witch Of Inferno Skaya

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Ranked 245th, ‘The Witch of Inferno’ Skaya is a dark elf. The first elf I ever saw was Ms. Rusty, but this is my first time seeing a dark elf.

”This one isn’t just a witch,” Dalcur-san said, his voice tight with calculation. “She’s the daughter of the dark elf tribe leader—a princess. And she’s a virgin. You understand the value of that, right?”

I nodded, though my stomach twisted. I’d learned from Weed-san that dark elves were a wandering tribe without a country, surviving as mercenaries. Skaya had been hired by the Seron Dukedom, only to end up captured, a prisoner slave.

”So, 10,000 gold coins is…” Ranka-san began, her tone sharp.

”This one had 43 of my subordinates killed,” Dalcur-san interrupted, his jaw clenched. “It’s war—no grudges. But I need compensation. This is separate from our mercenary contract.”

”There’s a limit to how much you can inflate the price,” Ranka-san shot back, her words edged with frustration.

I watched the exchange, considering. I’d thought about offering a 99% discount, but the mention of compensation for fallen soldiers’ families gave me pause.

Then, my gaze met Skaya’s. Her eyes were steady, appraising—as if she were weighing my worth as a master. A princess, even in chains, carried her pride like a crown. It was… inconvenient.

”What’s your fair price, Ranka-san?” I asked, breaking the tension.

”5,000 gold coins,” she replied, her voice firm. “I can pay 10% upfront, the rest in installments.”

Five hundred million yen. The weight of it settled in my chest. Kahoru-chan, worth a mere 10 gold coins, seemed a distant memory in this world of disparity.

”Dalcur-san,” I said, leaning forward. “How about 500,000 gold coins?”

He blinked, stunned. “Huh? I’d accept that, but… no, I can’t go that far.”

”Then propose it again,” I pressed. “500,000 gold coins.”

”Ah…” He hesitated, then nodded. “The Witch of Inferno, Skaya, for 500,000 gold coins.”

”Alright,” I said, activating my discount skill. “At a 99% discount, it’s 5,000 gold coins. Deal.”

The room fell silent. Ranka-san took over, her efficiency a balm to the chaos. A witch’s mass could sway wars, and with installments, it might just work.

”Looking forward to our partnership,” I said, extending a hand.

Dalcur-san shook it, his grip firm. “Yeah. Fighting alongside you… it’ll be something.”

His gaze flicked to Skaya, standing naked behind him, her presence a silent current in the room.

”What happened on the battlefield stays there,” he murmured. “Regrets, but no grudges.”

”I’ll forget you killed my comrades,” I replied, though the words felt heavier than I’d intended.

Now, my clan—my private army—had six ranked members. Two of them witches. It was… unnerving.

And then there were the other dark elf captives, Skaya’s unit, who’d surrendered. No wonder tensions had flared between the mercenaries and the regular army.

”Weed,” Dark said, his voice low, “with this lineup, the Quvarian Empire won’t stay silent. What’s your plan?”

Weed-san let out a dry laugh, then revealed a strategy so audacious I could barely process it.

”We’re going to war,” he said. “We’ll strike the Lessta Kingdom Army after they take the Celon Dukedom—and steal their country.”

* * *

The room buzzed with discussion, Haruka-chan’s eyes bright as she debated ritual magic’s role in warfare. Weed-san’s tension was palpable; Dark had shared something with him, something classified.

But… was this real? Weeks ago, I’d been a classmate’s errand boy, surviving on two hours of sleep. Now? Clan Owner. Guild Master. Councilor. And now, stealing a country. King. The word felt foreign, surreal.

Yet Haruka-chan’s enthusiasm was unsettling. Unlike dungeons, this war involved humans. Did she—did any of us—have the resolve to take lives without malice?

And so, I was led—with Skaya—to a room where slaves were “tasted,” the air thick with anticipation. The slave collar, activated, hung heavy around her neck. My orders were all that mattered now.

”Enter, Skaya,” I said, my voice steady.

”I apologize for my intrusion, my Master,” she replied, her tone composed, despite her nudity.

The room was… prepared. Restraints, candles, instruments of control. This was where I’d claim her, establish a mastery deeper than magic. I couldn’t risk a slave who might turn on me in battle.

”You know what’s coming,” I said, my gaze meeting hers.

”I’ve prepared for this since I stepped onto the battlefield,” she said, kneeling gracefully. “Use me as you will, Master.”

Her words were a challenge, a surrender. Like the Ranka sisters, she was exotic, her presence electric. Dark elves, I thought, were creatures of contradictions—pride and submission, fire and shadow.

”Let’s begin,” I said, reaching for the pills—birth control, painkillers. She swallowed them without hesitation, her throat moving in a silent swallow.

The air between us crackled. What came next would bind us—not just in body, but in power. Ranka-san’s lessons, learned at her own expense, were about to be tested.

The mattress sighed beneath her as she lay down, the room’s tension coiling like a spring. Her breath was steady, her eyes locked on mine. No words were needed. The weight of the moment—of what we were about to become—hung between us, heavy and inevitable.
