Kanare-san, aware that Nosissi, the former regiment commander, had been assassinated and that he himself was now the regiment commander and a councilor, let out a heavy sigh. Weed-san encouraged him cheerfully, with a surprisingly detached attitude. Well, it was the usual scene.
”However, what a terrifying place. I can clearly see that politics is not for me,” Kanare-san said, rubbing his temple.

Dalcur-san’s gaze briefly shifted to Neige-san, and they shared wry smiles. These two had unclear origins. Even asking Weed-san led to evasive answers. What was known was that Neige-san’s sister had been a witch who abandoned the country after dying in battle.

Although ownership of my person had transferred from Mr. Ralph to me, the situation remained unchanged.
I thanked Mikoshiba-kun and Rinko-chan, who had accompanied me as guards, and waited alone for Ms. Natalie. To be honest, it felt just like a prison. I wanted to get out of this terrible environment as soon as possible.
The room I was led into seemed designed for punishing criminal slaves. Just like the space where I took Scaya-san’s virginity, there were torture devices lined up conspicuously alongside the bed.
Then there was a knock, and the manager of the building brought Ms. Natalie in. She was completely naked, wearing only a collar and handcuffs. Once we were alone, Ms. Natalie, standing there, hesitated before speaking.
”I am truly sorry, Takumi-sama. I reported the military secrets I extracted from you, Takumi-sama, to the Lesta Kingdom, causing you harm. I am fully aware that this crime is worthy of the death penalty,” she said quietly.
”Ah, I learned Ms. Natalie’s secret. Including her origins,” I replied softly.
”I see… you have found out,” she whispered.
With a self-deprecating smile, Ms. Natalie began to weave her words.

Ms. Natalie said this as she knelt, bowing her head as if ready to be executed. Her beautiful, wavy, long blonde hair obscured my vision.
Ah, I see now. Ms. Natalie hadn’t been informed yet. I had issued instructions to protect her, but someone must have thought to bring her back to Seron for a public execution… which, given this world’s mindset, was a natural conclusion.
