We set off in a carriage toward the mountainous region separating McGaref and the Gonan Kingdom. The passengers included me, Shiori-chan, Haruka-chan, Chinatsu-chan, ‘Scaya-san, Neige-san, and Eil-Eil.
With four ranked individuals, two of whom are witches, our escort team was ridiculously overpowered. Since only ‘Scaya-san and Neige-san could properly handle the carriage, the rest of us were inside. Naturally, things got cozy.

Huh, really? I’d assumed they were a couple since they were the leader and vice-leader of the mercenary group. I wondered how they met…

”Chinatsu-chan, don’t pry too much,” Shiori-chan warned.
”It’s fine. The truth is, I’m afraid of men and can’t have sex. But I’m fine with normal conversations… Maybe I’ll share my story.”
Neige-san casually dropped something heavy. Sensing the conversation would be long, Chinatsu-chan skipped ‘Scaya-san’s turn and straddled me.

”It’s not your fault, Eileen. My homeland fell soon after my sister’s death, but Dalcur, then a Knight Order Commander, rescued me from captivity. We formed a mercenary group centered around the Order of Knights and began our wandering life.”
”Hara-kiri exists here too, huh?” Chinatsu-chan remarked, slightly off-topic. So Dalcur-san was a Knight Order Commander? Hard to imagine from his rugged appearance. I wondered if that’s how he knew Weed-san.
”So… that’s what happened, Neige.”
”Yes. I was the second princess of the now-fallen Northern Dukedom.”
”I see… Do you want to reclaim your country?”
”No. My country abandoned me, so… But Dalcur and I both want to avenge my sister someday. Sorry for the gloomy story. I fear men because of that assault… and I’ve never been with one since.”
Neige-san sadly lowered her gaze. This felt like something we should address… but I hesitated to bring it up.
”Why not let Takumi-kun help? He’s so kind, I’m sure it’ll be okay!”
”Perhaps. Seeing how happy you all are, I might be able to trust Takumi-dono.”
”How about we let Neige-san have the room tonight? Is that okay, Shiori-chan?”
”Uh, sure. I can stay in the carriage… I’d like Neige-san to be happy too.”
Huh, really? I glanced at Neige-san, who smiled and nodded. And so, I inadvertently scheduled an intimate night with Neige-san, the fallen kingdom’s princess. Wait, why do I keep ending up with princesses?
