Volume 6 Chapter 31 Shion-chan Sets Up A Honey Trap ★
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
The unit led by Ginga had been dispatched to the borderlands between the McGaref and Seron Regions to suppress bandits.
If they’d been ordinary thieves, perhaps Ginga—battle-hardened as he was—wouldn’t have felt such a wrench in his gut. But this band was composed entirely of orphans, drifters from the Lesta Region who had survived by stealing.
The “battle” itself barely deserved the name. When the orphans were captured, reports surfaced of damage to nearby villages. Worse, one badly injured villager had died. Naturally, the village head demanded both the culprits and the responsible officer.
The eldest girl among the orphans volunteered to shoulder both burdens. Yet handing her over meant certain torture and execution. After consulting Shion and speaking with the girl herself, Ginga’s unit agreed on a grim compromise. He would carry out the punishment personally, sparing the others and at least granting her an end that was not at the villagers’ mercy.
Even so, when the moment of execution came, the girl panicked. She sobbed, pleaded, clung to life. In the end, Ginga had to force her down to strike the blow.
Since then, Ginga’s mental state had fractured—or rather, Shion claimed it had, though to outsiders he seemed unchanged. Likely she was right.
”Takumi, pull Ginga from the front lines. Just until he recovers. I’ll take his duties.”
”I agree. I’ll find him suitable work—something less demanding.”
Ginga had been my friend since elementary school, my rock through years of hardship. If I could ease his burden now, I would.
But another question burned in me. “Why are you both naked?” I asked, unable to ignore Shion and Aria standing bare before me. Aria’s voluptuous figure dwarfed Shion’s more slender frame, but Shion’s sharp beauty—her violet hair and calculating gaze—radiated a different kind of power.
”To have you,” Shion said flatly.
The bluntness stunned me. “You’re setting a trap?”
”If you refuse, I’ll tell Ginga about today’s ‘cheating,’” she smirked. “Aria is my witness.”
”Takumi, please,” Aria added softly. “Do it for her.”
It was absurd: being blackmailed into intimacy with my best friend’s lover. Yet with these two, once they made up their minds, resistance was futile.
”Fine, Shion. But I won’t treat you as a lover. You’ll be my courtesan.”
”Perfect. Use me however you wish,” she replied with icy composure.
Her obedience unsettled me. Shion lowered herself with deliberate slowness, letting me guide her, while Aria whispered instructions—nudges that made the situation feel more orchestrated than natural. Their closeness pressed me further into betrayal than I ever thought possible.
Watching Shion yield—submissive, proud, and yet trembling beneath the act—made something primal stir in me. At the same time, guilt hammered harder with every moment.
”This is wrong,” I muttered.
But Shion only looked up with eyes that dared me to continue. “Humiliate me if you must,” she said. “If imagining Ginga finding out excites you, then so be it.”
Aria’s hand on her shoulder reinforced the charade. “She wants you to test her resolve, Takumi. Don’t hold back.”
The weight of it all—Ginga’s sacrifice, Shion’s manipulation, Aria’s encouragement—crushed me. Each touch felt like both an act of betrayal and of twisted mercy.
”Forgive me, Ginga,” I whispered inwardly, even as I let the women draw me further into their scheme.
Shion bore it all in silence until finally, her mask cracked. A single tear slipped down her cheek, catching the dim light.
”You’re intense,” she rasped, voice hoarse.
”Does he—Ginga—ever do this?” I asked, torn between anger and despair.
”…No,” she admitted.
Her honesty struck deeper than any blade.
Aria leaned close, whispering almost gleefully, “Now break her, Takumi. Make her forget his name.”
And I did.
