Two people in Seron hadn’t slept with me yet: Ranka-san and Rusty. The fact that both their names started with “Ra” was pure coincidence.
I had spoken with Naje’s soul, and with Nyx as well. But time was merciless. At dawn, I summoned those left behind in Seron to discuss our future. Haruka-chan and the others had already received an emergency call—sent by both horse and pigeon to avoid any delay.
Magic transmission was possible, but rare Skills made it impractical for sensitive information. It was more like blasting a public radio signal than whispering in secret.
”Anyway, getting Haruka back to McGaref is the top priority. Clarice, go ahead first,” Rusty ordered.
”Yes… but will Takumi-sama be safe without me?” Clarice asked.
”Scaya can’t hold a fortress alone. The priority lies there,” Rusty said firmly.
She was commanding the room with brisk, precise decisions—so much more than I had expected.
”Chinatsu, you’ll guard Clarice. You hold rank, so return first,” Rusty continued.
”Got it. Aria, I’m leaving Takumi-kun’s protection to you,” Chinatsu said.
”Consider it done. I’ll stake my very life on it,” Aria replied.
”That’s the spirit,” Chinatsu said, grinning.
The two exchanged determined nods. Meanwhile, I shrank into myself—reduced to the role of someone being protected. Soon after, they rushed out of Seron, and the reality of an oncoming war pressed heavily on me.
Rusty glanced at me. “I know you want to return, but your job is to raise morale. Ranka’s gathering troops as fast as she can. Stay calm and move with the unit.”
”Ah, right. Sorry… just a man with combat power of four,” I muttered.
”And I’ll prepare as well. Intervention within allowed bounds means… yes, only that,” she said, muttering to herself. Her eyes drifted—not subtly—toward my crotch.
”Takumi-kun. We’ll need your ‘Sexual Champion’ Skill,” she said smoothly.
”Wait, not Discount Skill? Really, Sexual Champion?”
”Yes. I want to see your surprised face. The reveal comes later.”
Rusty smiled slyly, pressed her body closer, exhaled hot breath on me, and grabbed me without hesitation. During a war council! Endo-san and Shikatani-kun chuckled at the spectacle. Shikatani, whose “Jack of All Trades” Skill sounded unreliable but actually proved useful, had apparently done his share.
Rusty quickly delegated: “Nyx, you’ll manage reinforcements from Seron. As a former princess, people will follow your lead. Ranka, coordinate supplies with Kurumi, who excels in arithmetic. And Kahoru, help them—you’re unexpectedly good at this.”
Everyone moved swiftly. But was my job really just… below the belt? Rusty certainly seemed convinced. The scratch of scribes’ pens filled the room as sub-meetings sprang up. Reports piled high.
”Takumi-sama,” Ranka said, “Seron can muster roughly 1,500 soldiers.”
”Not much, but better than nothing. Shame we lack a military expert,” I said.
Rusty gave me a look that all but said, Isn’t it obvious? I’ve been running this whole thing.
”Reinforcements from Gonan Kingdom should reach about 2,000,” she continued. “The Margrave of the Valkyries can field that. With Seron’s 1,500, we’ll have enough to harass their siege. There’s a ridge nearby—station forces there, harry them, buy time until Haruka arrives.”
”And the troop composition?”
”Few cavalry—they eat too much. Better to rely on speed. Bring bows, and plenty of portable catapults. Approach, strike from afar, retreat, repeat.”
Hit-and-run tactics. She spoke with such confidence that I knew better than to question her.
”Rusty, have you commanded troops before?” I asked.
”Yes. I once led the Elven Order of Knights. In fact, I was their queen.”
We reacted differently. Us Japanese nodded politely. The isekai natives frowned.
”Elves? There’s no such kingdom here,” one protested.
”Of course not. I came from another world. I even knew your First Emperor personally.”
She dropped that bomb with casual ease. I could only think, First Emperor? That’s ancient history. Better not ask her age if I value my life.
She brushed back her golden hair and smirked. “One warning: share this without permission, and the world’s laws will kill you.”
Kahoru shifted nervously. “Uh, maybe I shouldn’t hear this part?”
”Scared ones may leave,” Rusty said lightly.
Kahoru, Kurumi, Shikatani, and Endo all stood at once.
”Cowards…” I muttered.
”Sorry, Takumi. Mob characters like us can’t handle this kind of death flag,” Shikatani said.
”Just don’t repeat it. And don’t drink and blurt it out,” Endo added before leaving.
That left only me, Ranka, Nyx, and Aria.
”Aria, you don’t have to stay,” I told her.
”I promised to stay with you until death. I won’t be left out,” she said firmly.
Rusty smiled. “Then I’ll reveal my secret. When I came to this world and lived long enough, I was… burdened with divinity. In short, I’m a goddess now.”
”…Did you just say goddess?” I asked.
”That’s right. The very goddess worshipped in church? That’s me. Pleased to meet you again, my dear Sexual Champion.”
And with that, Rusty—goddess, courtesan, and seductress with a body built to tempt—winked playfully at me, her secret laid bare.
