Naja Lesta had fallen to Date Haruka’s world-breaking Destruction Magic, but until then she had shown the skill and coldness of a true commander.
Though the Lesta Kingdom Army was little more than a rabble with no real fighting strength, she and her brother had led it to conquer Bakdu Fortress and destroy the Seron Duchy. The famine had been a factor, but the military success was still immense.
The gentle princess Naje that Takumi Nasu once faced was real, but the world knew her as the fierce warrior princess of Lesta. That was why her soul had been chosen to be reborn.
And her cold hand now turned against the commander of the Fourth Army, For-Elda.
”I had hoped to break through with the Magic Cannon, but it seems the spy opened the gate instead. Cartera-sama is to carry out the slaughter, so we rest for now.”
”Yes. By the way, Lady Elda—”
”Hm? What is it?”
Before she could finish, Naje’s sword slashed Elda’s neck with perfect precision. At the same time, her vice-commander Tymis and the guard captain Amira thrust blades into Elda’s back and chest.
”Gh… what… is this…”
”My apologies.”
The head of the Fourth Army’s Magic Bullet General Elda fell to the ground and turned into a magic stone.
”Good. Tymis?”
”Yes. I will take command of the rear forces.”
The front was already under Naje’s control, about one thousand strong. A thousand ghost soldiers had been used up as cannon fodder, leaving eight thousand. While hiding Elda’s assassination, Naje prepared to move against Cartera.
”If we move the whole army, suspicion will rise. I will slip inside with Amira and the others.”
”Understood. May fortune guide you.”
To keep appearances, about five hundred soldiers marched as if to reinforce Cartera. With a few words to her loyal vice-commander, Naje advanced with her ghostly soldiers.
”This reminds me of when we took the capital of Seron Duchy.”
”Yes… not a pleasant memory. We spilled too much blood, both friend and foe, of those who should not have died.”
The west gate was chaos. Soldiers had withdrawn for street fighting, citizens fled, but corpses still lay everywhere. Naje spoke to a ghost captain at the gate.
”I am Naja Lesta, vice-commander of the Fourth Army. By Lady Elda’s command, I come to aid. Where is Cartera-sama?”
The ghost pointed down a road. McGaref’s twisting streets were confusing. Feeling urgency, Naje thanked him and rushed that way.
The air reeked of death. Citizens slain by Cartera lay scattered. Many had been struck by lightning, dying instantly.
Even so, Cartera was holding back. She still sought the reborn empress and avoided reckless slaughter. The siege had shifted to street fighting now—and unlike Seron’s weak capital, McGaref was a true fortress city. Naje sensed the long war ahead.
”How many lives will be lost here in McGaref…”
”For Takumi-sama’s sake, we must cut down Cartera-sama.”
”Yes. For him—and also for the people.”
Naje’s cheeks flushed, girlish for a moment. Yet she had nearly given up on being seen again in her reborn form. Even with death certain, Cartera’s head was distant. But that was why—if she succeeded, the war would turn at once.
(Takumi-sama, I will burn this life again for you…)
Hiding her desperate love, Naje pressed deeper into McGaref.

Some hours earlier. Sheryl was still held with Stella, unaware of her father’s assassination or her sister’s suicide.
”From the Ghost Army’s messages, it seems Cartera-sama and Raphastia-sama have gone to war.”
”Yes. I don’t know the battle’s progress, but it must be serious.”
”I only pray Takumi-sama is safe…”
By morning, d**dos had again been forced into her—one in her womb, one in her untouched rear. Yet she had not been violated by the First Emperor himself. That would soon change.
The one who entered the tent was Almaria, Witch of the Dead Arm. Unlike before, her body was exposed, and semen dripped from her.
”Good morning, you two. Did you sleep well?”
”Yes. Thanks to your kindness, Almaria-sama.”
”Thank you. But forgive me, I hate lying, so I’ll be honest. Soon His Majesty will come. He will violate you both until noon, then order you to kill yourselves. You may speak your last words, so prepare them.”
”I see… understood.”
Sheryl lowered her eyes. After Almaria left, Stella turned tearful eyes on her.
”Princess, I don’t want to die yet.”
”Yes… flatter His Majesty. Maybe you alone can survive…”
But Sheryl knew there was no escape.
(Takumi-sama, forgive me for dying after being defiled by another…)
Time passed. She shifted uneasily with the toys inside her. Then—a miracle.
Someone entered the tent. She saw him at once—Takumi Nasu. Her cheeks flushed. The man she loved had come, risking all to save her. Like an opera scene, her heart leapt—then steadied.
”Takumi-sama, you came to rescue me? I am glad… but this place is dangerous. Cartera-sama seems absent, but still—”
But the words that followed shocked her.
”Heh. I never left a record… but maybe descendants know? Either way, I’m happy you said my name.”
”Eh? Takumi-sama…? You are Takumi-sama, right…?”
”Yes, just as you say. I am Takumi. Takumi Nasu. Publicly, I am called the First Emperor of the Quvarian Empire, but I had no name then.”
With a smile, the First Emperor—Nasu Takumi—stood before his descendant, Sheryl.

• Haruka – Witch of Destruction — Silver-haired, F-cup. Former class vice-president, now a powerful witch. Wields the Agilaus Staff, capable of devastating ritual magic. Became the world’s strongest after acquiring the ‘Dark Emperor of the Abyss’ as a familiar. Exhibits exhibitionist tendencies, often seeking public intimacy with Takumi. Deeply devoted to him, balancing her role as a leader with her desires. First appears in v1c1 Prologue.
• Bakdu Fortress – A key fortress of the Seron Dukedom; its unexpected fall prompts concern in McGaref.
• Lesta Kingdom – A kingdom neighboring the Quvarian Empire; currently at war with the Seron Dukedom and potentially the Empire.
• Naje – First princess of the Lesta Kingdom and deputy commander. The tragic princess of the Lesta Kingdom who was executed for her country.
• For-Elda – Undead ‘Magic Bullet General,’ 4th Division commander of the Ghost Army and creator of the Magic Cannon that toppled fortresses. Obsessed with weapons over lives, treats soldiers as expendable fuel, and resents youthful-looking specters like Naje. First appears v9c8. Reminder: Wrinkled war-genius who replaced witchcraft with cannon fire.
• Cartera – Eternal Witch — The First Emperor’s mistress and a resurrected sorceress of immense power. Cruel and seductive, she takes pleasure in destruction and defilement. Her loyalty to the Emperor is absolute, and she shares his desire to end the world. First appears in v9c3.
• Amira – Captain of the guard who complies with surrender terms.
• Tymis – Deputy commander of the Lesta Kingdom.
• McGaref – Fortress city, adventurer hub.
• Sheryl – Second Princess of the Quvarian Empire, a striking beauty with red hair. Initially appears as a diplomatic envoy, but she is a reformer within the empire, seeking to atone for Quvar’s past betrayals, particularly the destruction of the Northern Kingdom. Sheryl is highly intelligent and politically savvy, using her position to gather secrets and undermine the empire’s plans to destroy McGaref. She is also a slave to Takumi, bound by enslavement magic, and tasked with sowing chaos within Quvar. Despite her circumstances, she maintains a sense of duty and hopes to bring about change. First appears in v6c26.
• Stella – A royal guard and Sheryl’s companion, who was also enslaved by Takumi. She harbors hatred towards Takumi for violating her, but enslavement magic forces her obedience. Stella is a viscount’s daughter and understands the political implications of her situation. She accompanies Sheryl in lewd acts as a form of penance and to cope with their shared shame. Her defiance is internal, but she follows Sheryl’s lead in their intimate moments. First appearance in v6c29.
• Raphastia – A once-renowned general who now serves the First Emperor in the underworld army. He is referred to as a ‘Holy Corpse,’ indicating his undead state. Raphastia retains his self-awareness and will, which is unusual for the undead, and his loyalty to the Emperor remains unwavering. He is described as having a raspy voice and is one of the key figures in the Emperor’s command post. First appearance in v9c8.
• Almaria – ‘Witch of the Dead Arm,’ ex-Quvar court witch turned 2nd Division vice-commander under Raphastia. Dutiful but hot-tempered, she shoulders his neglect, mocked as everyone’s toy yet deadly with assassins from the underworld. Slew Rex Velacoat, captured Sheryl and Stella. First appears v9c11. Reminder: Earnest witch cursed to babysit a gambling general.
• Quvarian Empire – Ruling kingdom. Harsh world, restricted freedom.
