Chapter 175 Field Reports and Power-Leveling
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Tester Life: Day 66, Morning. The Central Plaza.
Leticia beamed, clinging to my arm with a look of pure bliss now that she realized the “Samurai Squad”-the Gozaru-crew-actually held her in high regard. Watching her, I couldn’t help but feel a flicker of amusement at her reaction.
The Gozaru-crew, clearly energized by the prospect of borrowing Rock, spoke up with newfound resolve.
”Warden-dono, we humbly request the use of Rock-dono! I shall persuade the rest of my kin, I swear it upon my honor-degozaru!” the leader proclaimed.
”Honestly,” another tester added, “if anyone still drags their feet after we’ve secured a ringer like this, I’ll personally light a fire under their asses!”
”Damn straight! We’re clearing this floor at record speed,” a third man said. “I’m getting my “Wall-Butt”¹ privileges back-er, I mean, I’m getting a normal life back!”
”It’s a total life-or-death situation, man,” his friend muttered. “I used to think I only got off on 2D girls, but I never knew I’d crave the real thing this badly.”
”Shut it, you moron! Don’t say that crap in front of the Princesses,” the leader hissed.
”Hey, once we get the privilege back, maybe I should have her smack me with her tail just as a baseline… just to be safe, you know?” the friend whispered.
I cut through their chatter. “Fine. Get your guild in line first. The raid has to happen late at night to avoid prying eyes. Today and tomorrow, on my way back from Leticia’s power-leveling², I’ll drop Rock off in a side-alley near the 4th-floor teleportation array. Be there to pick him up.”
”Understood! I shall scout for my kin and convene a war council tonight,” the leader said. “The raid will likely commence tomorrow night, so we shall await your aid then-degozaru!”
”Right. Tanaka Yuki, give these guys the floor Intel ahead of time,” I said.
”Understood, Master,” Yuki replied. “Also, a report: our party successfully broke through the 7th floor last night.”
”Oh? Nice work. The 8th floor is next-watch your back for archers and traps,” I said.
It had been about ten days since they cleared the 6th. Since there aren’t many gimmicks on those floors, that pace seemed about right.
”Yes,” Yuki continued. “I took a look last night. Thanks to your advice, Sanada-san, I picked up some Light magic, so the traps were easy to spot. But those ranged attacks… they’re a real pain.”
”Just spot them fast and blast them with Fireballs before they can twitch. It eats through your Mana Capacity, though, so you might want to bring another long-range caster on board,” I suggested.
I figured Yuki’s summons were built for tanking, but you need to delete archers immediately to prevent back-attacks or getting swarmed.
”Actually, we pulled a “Fire Arrow” tome from a Guardian chest, so I had one of the others learn it. We start drills tomorrow,” Yuki said.
”An arrow-type, huh? We use Ice Arrow ourselves. It’s incredibly versatile,” I said.
They’d scored a solid drop. That should keep the archers and wizards off their backs. Honestly, I kind of wanted that spell for myself.
”Glad to hear it. I was worried we’d wasted a slot on a dud,” Yuki said.
”I’m almost jealous. Anyway, shifting gears-how’s the Kendo Club doing?” I asked.
I’d heard the “Wall-Butt” restrictions were causing their internal drama to hit a boiling point. I wanted to see how far they’d spiraled.
”Well… they tried to pull it together to raid two Monster Houses³ the other day,” Yuki said with a grimace. “But after all that struggle, they only walked away with wooden chests. They gave up after that. Now the other guilds are too chicken to even try. The Kendo and Archery Clubs are panicking because of the lockout. The Archery girls even begged to join us, but I turned them down. They still act like the dungeon is a game.”
I let out a dark chuckle. “Wooden chests? I’ve been there. I know that frustration. And yeah, forget the Archery Club. I’ve got no use for freeloaders who just want to snipe from the backline while everyone else bleeds.”
I remembered the time we cleared a room only to find three wooden chests-two of them filled with nothing but basic clubs. I’d nearly lost my mind.
The Archery Club was being coddled by the Kendo Club’s strength. Since the Kendo guys could handle everything-even the back-attacks-the archers were even refusing to buy defensive “Wall” magic. They were dead weight, mistaking the Kendo Club’s hard work for their own talent. They were coasting, and it was obvious to everyone.
I’d let them rot for a while.
Once the Gozaru-crew cleared the floor, word about the “lucky” Monster Houses would spread. That’s when the guilds would either unite or cannibalize each other.
With so many people clearing the 4th floor, keeping the information secret was a lost cause. The 3rd floor was basically a ghost town now. Even if they raided at midnight, a group of thirty people would stand out. People would follow them out of pure greed.
But that was fine. The key was that we weren’t the ones handing out the answers. If you help them once, they never stop begging. Or worse, they start resenting you for not doing more.
If they “stumbled” onto the Guardian room by stalking someone else, that was on them. It was only a matter of time before the secret of the high-tier loot got out anyway.
I parted ways with the guys and Yuki’s group, heading toward the now-deserted 6th floor.
* * *
”Hup! Your turn, Leticia!”
I hamstrung the last of the six goblins, pinning the creature to the floor with my boot before calling her over. The other two were already foaming at the mouth, paralyzed by Saizou’s venom.
”On it!” Leticia cried.
She didn’t hesitate. She gripped her dagger with both hands and drove it into the poisoned goblin’s throat. The initial revulsion she’d felt at killing humanoids was gone.
”Good. Keep it moving. Leticia, hop on Hanako’s back,” I said.
Following my lead, Leticia scrambled into the handmade carrier strapped to Hanako’s back. I sent Saizou and Lucy ahead to draw more goblins from the side-tunnels, creating a steady stream of targets.
We’d made a bit of a scene at the 1st-floor teleportation gate. I’d had to let Rock roar to silence the “lolicon” jeers from the other testers, but once we hit the 6th floor, the real work began.
Three hours in, and Leticia was still fresh, thanks to Hanako carrying her.
In the beginning, she’d struggled with the finishing blows. But since the monsters just dissolve into light, she’d stopped seeing them as living things. It had become a game to her.
Apparently, back in France, her family had been wealthy ranchers. After her father died, she’d helped her mother and grandparents with the livestock-she’d even wrung chickens’ necks herself. That explained why she had a higher tolerance for the “red work” than the others.
With the summons prepping the mobs for her, the efficiency was through the roof. She’d hit E-Rank by tomorrow afternoon. It was much faster than Sanae or Karen’s grind; they’d had to share the experience points while hunting kobolds.
The only real snag was her strength. She had the physical power of a middle-schooler-which is exactly what she was. Her first few stabs didn’t even penetrate the goblin’s hide; she’d had to throw her entire body weight onto the blade just to draw blood.
I could have started her on the 3rd floor, but there were still too many prying eyes there. I didn’t want people seeing my S-Rank girls in action, and I couldn’t risk summoning my full roster. The 6th floor was a private sanctuary now that the front-liners had moved to the 7th.
So, I fixed the strength issue with a “Bracelet of Power.” With the 1.5x multiplier, she had the grip of a high school athlete. Now she could slide the blade into a throat with ease, saving her stamina for the long haul.
As for her “Heal” magic? She couldn’t cast it yet. It seemed the mana cost was higher than a “Physical Reinforcement” buff. I’d expected that. A spell that replaces a 2,000 DP potion with no cooldown was bound to be a mana-hog.
Leticia looked pouted for a second, but she quickly doubled down on her work, eager to expand her capacity. She was the perfect student-Subservience Level S⁴ for a reason. Driven, obedient, and zero drama.
Sayaka and Sanae hung back, only firing the occasional arrow or spell when the mob grew too large. Sheena and Karen stayed glued to Leticia’s side as bodyguards.
Hanako brought up the rear, shield raised, itching for a fight I wouldn’t let her have.
By the time we hit the deep end of the floor, we’d cleared eighty goblins. Time for lunch.
Leticia was glowing, despite the sweat. She told me that back at the Training Facility, she used to watch the monitors and dream of adventuring with us. Now that she was living the dream, she couldn’t stop smiling.
Sayaka and Sheena were absolutely smitten with her.
Heena was acting like a doting maid, piling food onto Leticia’s plate and keeping her juice glass full. I’d never seen her look so gentle.
Sanae started grumbling that she didn’t get that kind of treatment, but Heena shut her down instantly. “Do you really want to be coddled like a girl four years your junior, Sanae?” Sanae just huffed.
I could tell Sanae was a little jealous of the sisterly affection Leticia was getting from Heena. But to her credit, she didn’t take it out on the kid. That’s what I like about her.
Though, honestly, Sanae was being looked after-Heena just made sure she didn’t realize it.
Leticia, however, was a natural at the social game. She’d identified Heena as the “Power Number Two” in the group and secured her favor immediately. For a thirteen-year-old, she was incredibly shrewd.
Then again, you don’t survive skipping grades and dealing with older students without learning how to handle people. She’d even mentioned how her mother was a bit of a flighty heiress and how she’d had to save her from a scammer the moment they landed in Japan. She’d grown up fast because she had to.
Well, while she’s with me, I’ll let her be a kid. Even if “being a kid” involved certain adult duties.
after lunch, I noticed Sanae was still pouting, so I took her into a side-chamber for some “outdoor” entertainment. I stripped her out of her magic armor, leaving her completely exposed, and sat her in a reverse cowgirl position. I positioned her specifically so that if anyone opened the door, they’d get a full view of her vulnerability.
The moment I whispered, “You know, a guild member might walk in any second,” her body tensed with a thrill of fear, and her arousal spiked instantly. The risk sent her over the edge.
I finished inside her as she hit a massive, convulsing climax, leaving her a quivering mess on the blanket.
Stripped, twitching, and spent-she looked like the textbook definition of a broken woman. The viewers back at the Facility were probably loving the show.
After cleaning her up and sharing a few lingering kisses, we headed back to the Magic Tent.
Inside, Leticia was drawing on a tablet while Karen lounged nearby with a manga. Heena and Ayaka were sharing a quiet coffee by the fire.
I joined them with Sanae, taking the cup Ayaka poured for me, enjoying the stillness before the grind began again.

Summary:
Yakumo coordinates with the ‘Gozaru-crew’ to lend them his summon, Rock, while Yuki reports successful 7th-floor progress. Yakumo begins power-leveling Leticia on the empty 6th floor using a strength-boosting accessory and efficient summons. The chapter concludes with a s*xual encounter between Yakumo and a jealous Sanae, followed by domestic relaxation in the Magic Tent.
—
Trivia:
- Leticia’s French ranching background makes her psychologically resistant to the ‘red work’ of killing humanoids.
- The Archery Club is failing because they rely too much on the Kendo Club and refuse defensive magic.
- The Bracelet of Power gives Leticia the equivalent strength of a high school athlete (1.5x multiplier).
- Heal magic has a higher mana cost than Physical Reinforcement, preventing Leticia from using it immediately.
- Yakumo is intentionally leaking dungeon secrets to create managed chaos among the tester guilds
—
Character Insight:
Leticia demonstrates high social intelligence by bonding with Heena (the ‘Number Two’), while Heena reveals a rare gentle side. Sanae’s jealousy reveals her deep emotional dependence on Yakumo.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The ‘Wall-Butt’ mechanic is a localized euphemism for the dungeon’s specific s*xual humiliation penalties, which drive the high stakes for the male testers.
