Dungeon-Succubus-Tester 18

Chapter 18 2nd Floor Guardian

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Morning of day six of my tester life. The first floor of the test dungeon, inside My Room¹.

It was the morning after that clothespin play.

I got out of bed, took a shower, and thought back on last night while brushing my teeth. After the submissive succubus, it had been a while since the brown-skinned Elder Sister succubus truly ‘corrected’ me.

After I’d finished three rounds with the submissive one, she managed to squeeze out another three in a very short time. As I lay there tired, she stroked my head with her tail as if to say, “You did a good job, such a good boy.”

I was left with a strong feeling of defeat, but I don’t feel like I can ever win against that incredibly pleasurable body. However, the one who gave me confidence again was the bratty succubus who showed up as the third partner. By teaching that girl a lesson, I got my confidence back. I never get tired of how she keeps taunting me no matter how many times she loses, only to reach her limit so easily.

With nine rounds total, I felt clear-headed and went to sleep after one last shower. My arousal had actually stopped by the seventh time, but because the brat kept provoking me, I ended up going until my absolute limit. Even so, a night’s sleep had taken away the tiredness. Physically, I was having a very comfortable morning.

Mentaly, though, I was starting to miss the sunlight.

Well, this is a dungeon, so I just have to deal with it. I gave up on that thought and changed into my guard uniform. Since my pants from yesterday were still wet, I put on the leather pants I found in a treasure chest. The length was a bit short, but they didn’t seem to stop my movement.

Next, I tried to buy a lunch box and sports drink from the Shop. I realized I’d forgotten to check my Mana Capacity², so I measured it, but it stayed at E-rank.

”Well, it’s only been a day. It might not go up anymore just against Horn Rabbits³,” I said quietly.

I bought my food, put on my armor and weapons, and left My Room. I walked past people washing their faces at the spring and groups of students in their uniforms talking while holding weapons, then entered the dungeon.

* * *

 ”Hm?”

I had been walking for three hours from the second floor gate. As I was about to turn right at the second corner of a side hole, I felt something wrong with the wall in front—a place that should have been a dead end—and stopped.

The front and left were just walls. But something was off. I went closer to check. I noticed that the left edge of the front wall was actually a double rock wall. Between the rocks, there was a gap small enough for one person to pass.

I stepped back and looked at the overlapping rocks from a different angle.

”If I kept going right, I wouldn’t have noticed this even if I came back from a dead end,” I thought.

I probably noticed it because of my experience watching for enemies in the forest. During the cartel wars, there was a guy waiting in an alley with a camo shield. I felt something weird then too, and when I shot at it, a person was hiding there.

Well, with a hidden path like this, there’s no doubt something is ahead. To pass through the narrow gap, I took off my bag and held it. My armor scraped against the stone as I moved inside.

After about two meters, I came out of the gap. The sight made me want to shout “Yes!” inside. It was a room about twenty meters wide, and at the back was a black gate. This was it—the Floor Guardian room. But unlike the first floor, the Guardian wasn’t near the gate.

What’s happening? Just as I was looking around the dark area, I felt a presence from the upper left. I quickly raised my small iron shield. At the same time, a clang and a shock hit the shield.

I dropped my bag, raised my machete, and looked toward the sound, but there was nothing. Without panicking, I kept my shield up and watched the area. The enemy was invisible.

I stopped looking with my eyes and sharpened my senses. Then, I felt a presence from the right and moved my shield.

Clang!

Again, the sound of metal hitting metal. This time, I saw the enemy. It was a blue rabbit. It was the same size as a Horn Rabbit, but its ears were long and shiny. They looked like swords.

”Your ears are like blades. I guess you’re a Sword Rabbit,” I said.

As soon as its attack was blocked, the Sword Rabbit kicked off the rock wall and moved through the high parts of the room at high speed. I see. After attacking, it was escaping upward. It was using the dark cave to attack from a higher spot.

It flew in very fast, which was annoying. But now that I knew the trick, it was just like a Horn Rabbit. I activated my Physical Reinforcement magic. I kept my eyes on the rabbit and backed against a wall to wait.

With Physical Reinforcement, my vision was better, and I could track the rabbit’s movement. Then, doing the same thing again, it kicked the left wall and came straight at me.

There was no time for magic. So, instead of just blocking with my shield, I stepped forward and pushed the ears and body upward right when they hit.

 ’Wind Cutter’.

With a thump, I hit the rabbit’s belly with Wind Cutter while it was in the air. The Sword Rabbit was split in half very easily.

”Your health is lower than a Horn Rabbit’s,” I noted.

It felt like it was only built for speed. Those sword ears and fast moves were a pain, but with my magic, it felt slow. Getting Physical Reinforcement was the right choice. I might have struggled more without it.

I watched the Sword Rabbit disappear and picked up the black Magic Stone.

”Same as the first floor guardian,” I muttered.

The stone was the same as the one from the Big Horn Rabbit. F+ rank stones are pinky-sized and dark, so they are easy to see. It’s strange that the Big Horn Rabbit and this one have the same rank. The Big rabbit was just big and easier to fight. Maybe there’s a difference even in the same rank, or it’s just speed vs power.

 ”Anyway, more importantly…”

I put the stone in my bag and looked at the black gate. Or really, at the bronze treasure chest that appeared. I smiled and went closer. It had no lock, but I was careful. I sat down and opened the lid with my machete.

”No traps. Let’s see what’s inside.”

So far, these chests had leather armor, shields, and Grade 4 Potions—things that cost 5,000 or 10,000 DP. I looked inside. First, I saw cloth.

”Is this… a robe? Oh! A machete! And a good one too.”

I pulled out a grey robe, and under it was a machete in a black sheath.

”It’s heavy… but I can still use it,” I said.

The chest only had those two things. I pulled out the blade. It felt twice as heavy as my old one. It was a bit bigger, but I didn’t know why it was so heavy. But with my strength going up with my Mana Capacity, I could swing it.

 ”Is this an assassin model?”

I felt a bit excited when I saw the blade was pitch black. “This is… iron… but not normal iron.”

Looking at the black blade, it didn’t look like paint. I tried to scratch it with my old machete, but nothing happened.

”Is there black iron? Well, it’s strong, so it’s fine.”

I tried to tie my old machete to my bag, but it was already full of wooden shields and knives. It was getting hard to carry. I tied it with rope so it wouldn’t get in the way, then put the new machete on my belt.

 ”What about the robe?”

I put it on; the size was perfect. It wasn’t cold, but I was curious. I used a dagger to try and cut the edge.

 ”It’s slash-resistant.”

Since it came from a guardian chest, I knew it wasn’t just a normal robe. Like my uniform, it was made for protection. I decided to wear it for safety.

The items were appearing exactly when I needed them. It was the same on the first floor. When I wanted armor, it was there. And now a machete. Is the Succubus Queen watching? Is she putting what we need in the chests? Or is it automatic?

 ”Probably automatic,” I decided.

The Queen is likely too busy to watch every tester. She doesn’t know when someone will fight a guardian. If so, the next chest might have more armor.

”Well, I’m glad I got what I needed.”

This gear would cost a lot of DP. Also, I can’t sell things I don’t use, so getting the right gear is great. Now, time for the next floor.

I put my bag on over the robe and opened the black gate. Beyond it was the same cave walls.

 ”The cave again…” I sighed.

I was getting sick of this. Even so, I stepped through the gate.

 Summary:

Sanada begins his sixth day in the dungeon after a night of intense encounters. Using his mercenary experience, he finds a hidden path on the second floor leading to a Guardian Room. He defeats the high-speed Sword Rabbit and loots a black machete and a protective robe. He expresses frustration with the repetitive cave environment as he moves to the next floor.

 —

 Character Insight:

Sanada’s mercenary instincts are his primary survival tool, allowing him to perceive hidden geometry and invisible threats. He is highly pragmatic, viewing his sexual successes and gear upgrades through a lens of utility. Despite his growth, he is starting to experience dungeon fatigue due to the repetitive scenery.

 —

 Behind the Scene:

The ‘clothespin play’ and ‘punishment’ establish the erotic stakes of the tester life. The treasure chest system appears to be adaptive, rewarding players with items that match their specific weapon preferences (machetes). This level of automation or oversight suggests the dungeon is highly managed by the Succubus Queen.
