Dungeon-Succubus-Tester 203

Chapter 203 Restart

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Tester Life: Day 74 – Morning | 6th Floor, Small Room | Kurokawa Jin

 ”Morning, Roa,” I said.

 ”Morning, Jin,” she replied.

As I sat up and kissed her, her expression softened, if only by a fraction. Unlike the day we first met, she spoke my name with a gentle, melodic warmth.

Last night, we had deployed the Magic Tent¹ provided by the Guildmaster. After burning some Warding Incense², we used the portable Magic Crystal³ to purchase partitions, bedding, and toiletries before taking turns in the bath.

If it weren’t for the Magic Stones the Guildmaster gave us, we would have been broke. To think a single stone is worth 600 DP… just how deep is that man exploring? I don’t feel like I’ll ever catch up. I had wanted to pick his brain more, but as soon as we decided on our party name, he said he was done and headed out. Maybe he was just exhausted?

Lost in thought, I headed to the bathroom with Roa. We stood side-by-side at the vanity in the dressing area, washing our faces and brushing our teeth. Sakuma and Kobayashi poked their heads in shortly after, their own partners in tow.

 ”Morning, Sakuma. Kobayashi,” I said.

 ”Yo, morning, Kurokawa,” Sakuma replied.

 ”Good morning, senpai!” Kobayashi added.

”Looks like everyone slept like a log,” I noted.

 ”You too, man,” Sakuma said.

”God, not having to pull guard duty is a literal lifesaver,” Kobayashi muttered. “I owe the Guildmaster big time for that.”

 ”No kidding,” I agreed.

I still had Maru keeping watch outside just in case, but thanks to that Warding Incense, nothing bumped in the night. That stuff is worth every DP; I didn’t wake up once until nearly noon. We have a week’s worth of refills, too. I’m seriously never going to be able to pay that man back.

I finished drying my face and stepped out of the dressing room to find the rest of the crew in the kitchen area. Everyone was finally awake.

The plan for today: move to the small room at the back of the 6th floor marked on the map and set up our permanent base. After that, we’re going to grind-exploring until the dead of night to rack up Magic Stones and XP. We have to. Food alone is costing us nearly 20,000 DP a day. We need to drop at least a hundred Goblins just to break even, and 150 if we want to actually save anything. Since Koyama-senpai is the only other tester around, and the density increases the deeper we go, I think we can pull it off.

More than that, I want to Rank Up Maru until he’s in the same league as the Guildmaster’s familiar. That thing was on a whole different level. It made me realize how damn reliable a monster like that could be if it’s on your side. I’d already had Maru focus on defense by giving him Greatshields; if I keep pushing his Rank, he should evolve into something similar. Even Yuki-senpai’s Kobold evolved into a sharp-eyed variant after using Greatshields. Evolution seems to follow the gear.

I just hope Maru looks a bit more dignified when he evolves. The Guildmaster’s familiar was terrifying at first, but the way it acted around him-those big, round eyes and the way it moved-was actually kind of cute. It looked like a giant, silver-furred Shiba Inu. Personally, I want Maru to look a bit more badass.

Once everyone was done washing up, I headed to the desk in the corner. I toggled the portable Magic Crystal and bought breakfast sets for the whole group. That wiped us out; we only have enough left for some cheap bento lunches. We’re going to have to fight for our lives tonight.

We handed out the food and everyone retreated to their partitioned spaces to eat with their partners. The room filled with the sounds of cheerful chatter. Everyone was riding high on being clean, sleeping soundly in a safe zone, and having a hot meal. I even heard someone talking about saving up for a real bed.

It was a total 180 from yesterday morning. Everyone was actually looking forward to a future with the person they loved. And it was all because of the Guildmaster.

To us-to murderers-that man just acted like it was no big deal. “So what?” his face seemed to say. He knew the risks, yet he reached out to stop us from piling up any more sins. He was just… cool. I’m not ashamed to say it. He looks like a villain, but he’s a man of conviction-strong, kind, and deep. He’s like a hero straight out of a manga. It makes sense why that sharp-tongued Sheena-san looks at him the way she does. When he was handing us the Oblivion Potions, she was watching his back with the softest smile I’ve ever seen. Those were the eyes of a woman head-over-heels in love. You’d have to be crazy not to fall for a guy like that.

Then there’s me. Ordinary. Less than ordinary, actually, with these burn scars running from my cheek down my neck. My Mana Capacity is a pathetic E-rank, way lower than Roa’s D+. It’s almost funny how desperate I was to “protect” a woman who’s objectively stronger than me.

But I’m still going to do it. I’m going to protect Roa. I’ve decided to get strong for her sake. I’m done being the pathetic loser who’s always worried about what people think. For Roa-and for the Guildmaster who hauled me out of hell-I’ll do whatever it takes. I’m burying my past self. Today, I start a new life with my comrades.

 And with Roa…

I pulled the Oblivion Potion from my bag and stared at it in my palm. If she drinks this, the agony will vanish. But so will everything else. The day we met. The first time we slept together. The way she held me when I was falling apart, and the way she stayed up all night nursing my wounds. It’ll all be gone.

No. I don’t matter. This is my cross to bear. This is my punishment for being too weak to save her from suffering. This is my atonement. She gets to forget the nightmare; I’m the one who has to live with my own wretchedness, remembering every second of the woman I love being violated right in front of me.

Yeah. I won’t forget. I’ll never forget that as long as I live. I’ll take that pain and that rage and use it as fuel to become someone who can never be pushed around again.

”Roa… I need you to drink this,” I said.

My voice was steady, but my hands were shaking like a leaf. Real tough guy, Jin.

 ”Okay,” she said softly.

Without a single doubt in her eyes, she popped the cork and downed it in one go. My vision blurred. Damn it… I really am pathetic.

But this isn’t the end. It’s the beginning.

 ”Ah…”

Roa let out a soft groan before her knees buckled. I caught her, gently laying her down on her sleeping bag. Her consciousness faded as the potion took hold. I sat there for an hour, just stroking her red hair, watching the memory-wipe do its work.

 ”Nn…”

Finally, her eyes fluttered open. I forced the widest, brightest smile I could manage.

 ”Morning,” I said.

 ”…Good morning,” she replied.

My heart felt like it was being put through a shredder. Her voice was flat, hollow. Her eyes were unfocused, like a ghost’s. It was exactly like the day we met. Not a shred of emotion. The memories were gone. Every single one.

But that’s okay. The pain is gone, too. And if she’s forgotten the days we spent together… well…

 I remember. And that’s enough.

”Nice to meet you. My name’s Jin. What’s yours?”

We’ll start over. From the very beginning. I’ll find the woman she was all over again.

Because I love her more than anyone in this world.

Tester Life: Day 74 – Holiday | Midday | My Room | Sanada Yakumo

I woke up to Leticia giving me a tit-fuck while simultaneously working her mouth over my c**k.

I glanced to the side and saw Sheena offering up her breast like an appetizer, so I started suckling. Noticing I was awake, Leticia flashed a mischievous, bratty grin. She leaned in, her tongue flicking over the tip of my head with lightning speed.

 ”Guh!”

The pleasure hit me like a freight train. I buckled my hips and came hard, the release splashing across Leticia’s perfect, doll-like face. She took it all without flinching before taking me back into her mouth and drinking every drop. Once I was finished, she used her hands and mouth to milk me dry, finishing with a final, wet slurping sound to get the last bit of nectar.

She pulled away, wiped a stray drop from her cheek with a finger, and licked it clean with a smile. “Delicious,” she chirped.

Man. Perfect. She’s a fast learner. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a literal child prodigy who skipped grades. The future is looking bright.

While I was basking in the afterglow, Leticia started fiddling with me again as I started to go soft.

”Hey, cut it out,” I groaned. “It’s sensitive after a round.”

”Don’t try to shove your n**ips in there! It’s not a keyhole, it won’t fit!”

I scrambled to pull myself away from her and asked Sheena for a cleanup instead. Leticia pouted, muttering something like, “I was so close,” before announcing she’d only come in to wake me up and strolling out of the room. I watched her go with a “you’ve gotta be kidding me” look on my face.

I’d rolled in late last night, left a note by Sayaka’s pillow saying Sheena and I had gone out to rescue Kurokawa’s group, and told her I’d be in my room and not to wake me until noon. Since I couldn’t use the Wall-Butt last night, I just brought Sheena back here. Didn’t want to wake Lilith and the girls that late. We basically fucked until the sun came up and crashed until lunch.

Today and tomorrow are off. I don’t have much on the agenda besides maybe some sunbathing, a view of the ocean, and a cold beer. Actually, I need to do some shopping first.

I hit the shower with Sheena to wash off the sweat and fluids, then stepped out of the Magic Tent.

Down on the beach, Sanae was busy firing training arrows at Saizou. He was blurring across the sand with a small shield, dodging most of them, but Sanae was letting them fly with incredible speed, occasionally pinging one off his guard.

Wait… did that arrow just curve mid-air? Damn, she’s getting good. I couldn’t hit that if my life depended on it.

Across the sand, in the shade of a tree, Hanako was sprawled out eating super spicy crackers. Her body shuddered rhythmically as she stared intently at the figure of the Blonde Doll’s Owner.

That guy… one of these days, I’m going to paint a target on him and make him run for it.

Looking at Hanako – who was the literal definition of a sow – just pissed me off. I shifted my gaze toward the ocean, where Karen and Lucy were lounging together on a Styrofoam raft. Further out, I could see Rock doing the butterfly stroke.

That dog’s as energetic as always, I thought.

It seemed like everyone was enjoying their day off in their own way. When I stepped into My Room, Sayaka was running the vacuum, and I could hear the rhythmic drone of the washing machine coming from the bathroom. Leticia was on the sofa in a white sundress, looking like she was having the time of her life sketching on her tablet.

Noticing I was awake, Sayaka stopped her cleaning and brought me a cup of coffee.

”Thanks. Sorry I wasn’t around this morning,” I said.

”It’s alright. Just knowing that I was on your mind makes me incredibly happy,” Sayaka replied.

 ”I see.”

She had this reaction even though the guy she’d slept with last night wasn’t there when she woke up because he’d run off to another woman. Talk about the ultimate enabler. Sayaka really is a “loser-maker”, isn’t she? I guess I’ll have to take responsibility and keep her under my wing.

”Also, I read the letter. Were you able to help those girls from the other world?” Sayaka asked.

”Yeah. I gave them the Magic Tent and the portable Magic Crystal. The amnesia medicine, too. They’re self-sufficient now, so there’s nothing to worry about. I can’t go public with it, but I officially added them to our guild. We’ll be providing backup from here on out,” I said.

Karen and the others are planning a girls’ night with Hina and her group tonight. I’ll call Yuki over then and fill her in on the situation with Kurokawa and his people.

”I’m so relieved to hear that. Hehe… I knew that if it was you, My Lord, Master of the Blonde Doll, you would find a way to save them,” Sayaka said.

”It was a calculated move. Those ‘Soul-less Dolls’ Kurokawa and his group had? Three of them are combat-ready, just like Sheena-san. Those girls are going to be powerful,” I noted.

”Oh my! Three people as strong as Sheena-san!?” Sayaka exclaimed.

It was no wonder Sayaka was shocked. Sheena-san had told me before that even among those from the other world, there aren’t many women in combat classes. And among those combat-ready women, finding ones attractive enough to be chosen as Soul-less Dolls should be even rarer. To have three out of seven fit that description… those guys have the devil’s own luck.

”Well, they’re combat-classed, but their rank doesn’t touch Sheena-san’s. Still, one of them is a magic user – she can use intermediate ice magic. ‘Ice Lance,’ I think? I was actually surprised to see three massive ice spears just manifest in the air,” I said.

One hit from those spears would probably skewer an Orc.

”That’s amazing! I’d love to see that magic for myself sometime,” Sayaka said.

Sayaka seemed genuinely curious about intermediate-tier ice magic. I hope one of those spells pops out of a treasure box soon. Since it’s intermediate, I wonder if I’d need a silver chest?

As I was talking with Sayaka, Sheena-san finished her bath and joined us. We called everyone back in to eat a meal together.

Well, I’ve got today and tomorrow off.

First things first: I should probably buy some presents for Sayaka and the rest of the girls.

 Summary:

Jin decides to use the Oblivion Potion on Roa to erase her traumatic memories of being violated, even though it means she forgets him too. Meanwhile, Yakumo enjoys a hedonistic morning with Leticia and Sheena after rescuing Jin’s group. The contrast highlights the differing fates of those struggling in the dungeon versus those who have mastered it.

The protagonist observes his group relaxing at the beach before returning to his room to talk with Sayaka. He discusses the success of assisting a group from another world and the strategic value of their new ‘Soul-less Doll’ recruits. The chapter ends with a peaceful domestic scene and plans to buy gifts for his harem.

 —

 Trivia:

 - The high cost of living (20,000 DP/day) means Jin’s group must kill 100+ Goblins daily.

 - The Guildmaster’s familiar looks like a silver Shiba Inu.

 - Leticia is canonically a child prodigy who skipped grades.

 - Hanako has a physiological reaction (shuddering) when watching Yakumo.

 - The protagonist gave the new girls a ‘Forgetting Medicine’ to wipe specific memories.

 - Rock the dog is oddly capable of swimming the butterfly stroke.

 - The protagonist admits his ‘kindness’ toward the new girls was actually a calculated move for power.

 - Soul-less Dolls are specifically selected for their high-tier beauty.

 - The protagonist spent the night with Sayaka but left her alone in the morning

 —

 Character Insight:

Jin moves from a state of codependency to a tragic sense of duty. He accepts his ‘punishment’ of remembering the trauma alone to spare Roa, showing extreme, albeit self-sacrificial, devotion. Yakumo remains a stable, detached observer who prioritizes pleasure and the efficiency of his ‘subjects.’

The protagonist displays a classic ‘ore-sama’ (ego-centric) attitude, viewing Sayaka as a ‘convenient’ enabler while simultaneously feeling a sense of possessive responsibility for her. Sayaka’s absolute devotion highlights the harem dynamic’s power structure.

 —

 Behind the Scenes:

The author uses the transition from Jin’s heavy emotional sacrifice to Yakumo’s lighthearted s*xual encounter to prevent the narrative from becoming too grim, a common technique in Seinen dark fantasy.

The term ‘dame-otoko seizōki’ is a popular Japanese trope for women whose extreme care ironically turns men into lazy, useless bums.
