Chapter 105 A New Trouble

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

”Hurry up and move if you don’t want to die!” the man barked, jabbing his spear forward.

”Ugh…” The rabbit-eared girl stumbled, her legs trembling under her. They seemed broken, refusing to hold her weight, and she crumpled to the ground.

”Tch!” The man kicked at the girl huddled at his feet.

”Stop it!” another girl cried, her voice sharp with desperation. “Don’t hurt Lucia!” She threw herself over the fallen girl, shielding her.

”Hey, Avan, why don’t we just finish them here? This is getting annoying,” the spear-wielding man said, glancing at another man who was kicking the girl. He wore a longsword at his hip.

Avan paused, considering. “Keel’s got a point… What do you think, Kain?”

Kain, a man with refined features and an air of quiet dignity, spoke slowly. “Ending it here might be mercy.

But no… they deserve worse. We’ll make them beg for death, drag them through a living hell until they’re broken. Only then can we face them with pride.”

Despite his gentle appearance, Kain’s words carried a chilling weight. No one could guess the darkness behind his calm demeanor.

”Yeah, you’re right,” Avan agreed. He nodded, then kicked the second girl away from Lucia, slicing her clothes apart with a flick of his longsword. The fabric fell in tatters.

”Go on, comfort each other,” he sneered.

”No… you can’t!” The girl clutched her chest, covering herself as she glared at Avan.

”Don’t like it?” Keel taunted, prodding Lucia’s chest with the blunt end of his spear. “Fine. We’ll take turns with her until she’s screaming.”

Lucia groaned softly, pain flickering across her face.

”Stop it! Leave her alone!” the second girl shouted, lunging to protect Lucia again. But Kain grabbed her arm, his grip like iron.

”Princess,” he said coldly, his eyes glinting with menace. “You either do it with that beastgirl, or we do it for you. Decide. Now.”

The girl looked up at Kain, his gaze icy and unyielding. Her heart sank.

”I… I understand,” she whispered, her voice breaking. She didn’t want this—none of it. But if she refused, these men would tear into Lucia without mercy. At least, if she went along, they might keep their distance for now. It was only a matter of time before they’d come for her chastity, though.

”Princess…” Lucia’s voice was faint as the girl approached her.

”Just call me Karnae for now, okay?” Karnae said softly. She lifted Lucia into her arms and pressed her lips to hers, sealing them in a kiss.

This is it, then, Karnae thought as their lips met.

At least they didn’t steal my first kiss. Even if it’s with Lucia…

Karnae was a young woman, after all. Like any girl her age, she’d dreamed of a fated meeting, a romantic moment straight out of a story.

But reality was crueler. The men watching them would soon lose control, their restraint crumbling under their own desires. Why they hadn’t touched them yet, she couldn’t fathom.

Their lips parted with soft, wet sounds. “Princess…” Lucia murmured.

”Call me Karnae,” she whispered back.

Lucia obeyed, kissing her again, this time slipping her tongue inside. Karnae responded, their tongues entwining.

A soft moan escaped her. “Mmm…”

 Lucia’s breath hitched. “Ah… ahh!”

Karnae’s hand drifted to Lucia’s chest, her fingers brushing a sensitive spot. Lucia let out a small gasp.

”Lucia, does it feel good?” Karnae asked, her voice gentle.

”It… it does…” Lucia’s eyes were hazy, her expression soft and vulnerable.

Karnae found her unbearably cute like this. “Then… me too,” she said shyly.

”Let’s feel good together,” Lucia replied.

They touched each other’s chests, their hands exploring. “Ah!

Oh!” Karnae gasped. Lucia’s soft moans mingled with hers as they kissed again, their tongues dancing, saliva mixing in the quiet air.

Their hands wandered lower, fingers brushing against more intimate places.

Karnae shuddered as Lucia’s touch sent a jolt through her. Lucia’s fingers were slick and warm, and though it startled Karnae, the heat felt strangely comforting.

”Lucia, you’re so warm here,” Karnae murmured, sliding a finger inside Lucia.

”Ah… oh…” Lucia let out a small moan but didn’t pull away. Instead, her body tightened around Karnae’s finger, drawing it in.

”Wow… you’re gripping me so tightly,” Karnae said, surprised. She moved her finger slowly, carefully.

Wet sounds filled the air as Lucia’s breaths grew sweeter, heavier. Her soft sighs turned into moans, growing louder with each moment.

 ”Oh! Ohh!” Lucia cried out.

Karnae, encouraged by her reactions, moved faster, more boldly. “Lucia… you’re so cute,” she whispered, gently teasing a sensitive spot.

”Ahh! No, not there!” Lucia gasped, her body trembling. But Karnae didn’t stop, rubbing the spot until Lucia convulsed, her moans peaking as she seemed to reach her limit.

”Stop, Karnae! I… I already…” Lucia pleaded, tears in her eyes, but Karnae kept going, her movements relentless.

In return, Lucia’s fingers found Karnae’s most sensitive place, moving with sudden intensity. “Oh, Lucia… no…” Karnae gasped, her voice trembling.

”Karnae… not there…” Lucia echoed, but neither stopped. They pushed each other further, their breaths ragged, until Lucia shuddered violently, her body arching as she collapsed, overwhelmed.

The sudden motion drove Lucia’s fingers deeper, hitting Karnae’s weakest spot.

”Ngh… I’m… Lucia, Lucia…” Karnae’s hips moved on their own, chasing the sensation. “Ah, ahh… I’m…!”

Clutching Lucia’s limp form, Karnae trembled as waves of pleasure crashed over her.

* * *

Avan’s hand rested on his longsword, his eyes scanning the surroundings. The girls at his feet held no interest for him.

He could’ve humiliated them himself, crushed their dignity underfoot. But the anger burning in his chest was too vast for such a simple act to satisfy.

Capturing Kirkekingdom’s third princess, Karnae Le Kirke, and her rabbit-human attendant, Lucia, had been pure chance. Kain’s Appraisal Eye had revealed the girl’s royal blood, and that was reason enough to drag them this far.

Now, with their destination—a cave—looming ahead, Lucia’s movements had slowed. They’d roughed her up too much, it seemed.

According to Keel’s detection skills and Kain’s Appraisal Eye, an unnatural miasma seeped from the cave. Kain had said such places often turned into dungeons, and this one might already be one.

 Their target: goblins.

The plan was simple but cruel: let the goblins have their way with the girls.

Let them drown in despair and terror, knowing they might carry a monster’s child. Then, sell them off as slaves.

If this was a freshly formed dungeon, goblins would already be lurking inside.

They might be hiding, wary of the men’s presence, but the sight of the girls’ vulnerable forms would surely draw them out. Goblins were that kind of beast—base, predictable.

Once the goblins had their fill, Avan and his men would slaughter the creatures and drag the girls to the nearest village.

The villagers could decide their fate. If any shred of mercy remained in their hearts, they’d end the girls’ suffering quickly.

But if the girls survived, slavery awaited. Avan’s job was to keep them alive until then.

He wouldn’t let them die easily—not after everything. His eyes scanned the surroundings, senses sharp with vigilance.

* * *

Karnae and Lucia clung to each other, their lips locked in desperate kisses.

Keel watched from above, his foot twitching with the urge to lash out. He clenched his jaw, fighting the impulse.

If it weren’t for them…

Karnae’s face reminded him of his sister—same age, same softness in her features. The resemblance only fueled his rage.

When they’d captured Karnae, he’d wanted to make her feel a fraction of the terror his sister had endured. He’d nearly attacked her then and there, but Kain had stopped him. “Letting goblins take her first will carve fear into her soul far deeper,” Kain had said.

Those words had stayed Keel’s hand. He’d dragged the girls this far, bottling his anger.

Lucia’s defiance had pushed him to the edge, though. In a fit of fury, he’d snapped her fingers one by one, forcing Karnae to watch, hoping to break her spirit. But it hadn’t eased the storm in his chest.

What’s so fun about this? Keel’s mind flashed to a soldier who’d broken his father’s fingers in front of his sister, laughing all the while.

The memory made his stomach churn. He wanted to kick the girls at his feet, to crush them under his rage, but he held himself back, trembling with the effort.

* * *

Kain’s gaze lingered on Lucia, her rabbit ears trembling as she gasped under Karnae’s touch. She was a rabbit-human too, wasn’t she? His thoughts drifted to a girl long gone—Mari, his childhood friend.

Mari had been his attendant, a rabbit-human girl from his hometown in the Atrea territory of Vaalkingdom.

Atrea sat on the border, a peaceful, sleepy place despite its delicate position next to neighboring kingdoms. Kain, heir to the local lord, had grown up far from noble airs, sneaking into town with his friends, Mari among them.

When the time came for Kain to take on responsibilities, he’d chosen Mari as his attendant. It was a casual decision—he’d figured a friend would be easier to slip past than a strict minder.

But for Mari and her family, it was a rare honor. For a commoner, a demi-human no less, to serve the lord’s heir was unheard of. Her family had celebrated with tears and feasts, overjoyed at her rise.

In a world growing hostile to demi-humans, Mari’s appointment was a beacon of hope. Her people dreamed she’d bridge the gap between humans and beastmen.

Mari herself had no such grand ambitions, but she’d always cared for Kain, secretly hoping they might one day be together. If that love could soften the divide between their races, all the better. She served him faithfully, her heart full of quiet dreams.

Atrea’s ties with the beastman nation of Flora made it a haven for demi-humans.

Unlike other lands, prejudice was rare, thanks to the lord’s family, who welcomed all. Kain had even considered taking Mari as a consort one day—until everything changed.

Vaalkingdom and Kirkekingdom, both small nations caught between the Saga Empire and Alfheim Kingdom, had been allies.

Or so they’d thought. They’d let their guard down, never expecting an attack.

And now, here she was—Karnae, Kirkekingdom’s third princess. The root of it all.

For Mari’s sake, vengeance was necessary. Kain’s blood boiled as a new voice cut through the air.

”Bullying girls isn’t exactly admirable, you know.”

Kain’s eyes snapped to the stranger. Who does he think he is, spouting nonsense? Fury surged, and he began to chant a spell.

* * *

 ”…Still going?”

The man’s voice broke through as I shuddered, overwhelmed by Lucia’s touch. My cheeks burned with shame.

 ”K-K-K…” I stammered.

”A tree?” he asked, tilting his head.

”No! Kyaaa!” My scream echoed through the air, sharp and raw.

* * *

”Thank you… for saving us?” My voice wavered, uncertain, as I sat on a plush sofa in a calm, quiet room. A cup of tea steamed on the table before me. Lucia lay on a bed nearby, her breathing soft and steady.

The man—Tsubasa, he’d said—had healed our wounds with a potion.

Lucia’s legs, shattered beyond hope, had mended in moments. I’d thought she’d never walk again, but his potion… could it be the elixir of legend?

He’d told us to rest for two or three days, but even that seemed impossible. Injuries that severe shouldn’t heal so quickly. I, blessed by the Goddess, could wield nearly every healing spell, including Mega Heal, the strongest of them.

Even that might not have saved Lucia’s legs. Yet this potion—a mere potion—had done the impossible. My understanding of the world crumbled around me.

Potions were supposed to enhance natural healing, nothing more. Even the finest ones only closed wounds and sped recovery.

The elixir, a fairy-tale cure said to heal any injury instantly, was just a story. It couldn’t exist.

And yet, here we were, healed by a single vial.

Tsubasa had saved us, no question.

He’d told us the men who’d hurt us were captured, locked away somewhere else. But…

”Why am I tied up?” I asked, my voice trembling.

My hands were bound behind my back, ropes securing me to the sofa. My ankles were tied too, tethered to the sofa’s legs, keeping me from standing.

The tea sat steaming before me, its rich aroma taunting my senses—Veronica-grown mate tea, second flush, a rare luxury in these parts.

I could almost taste it, but with my hands tied, drinking was impossible. Meanwhile, Tsubasa sipped his tea with infuriating elegance.

So unfair. I want some too. I’m picky about my tea, you know.

When I asked why I was tied up, Tsubasa shrugged. “Rules are rules.

Can’t let someone loose if we don’t know whether they’re friend or foe. Also, the master around here has a policy: captured girls get… well, you know.”

His words hit like a stone. Was I doomed to that fate?

Lucia, still unconscious and restrained on the bed, would probably lunge at Tsubasa the moment she woke, no questions asked. Giving someone like her freedom would be foolish, I suppose. Maybe this treatment made sense, but…

”Please, at least let me put some clothes on,” I pleaded, my face burning. I could feel Tsubasa’s gaze lingering on my chest, my lower body—places I couldn’t cover with my hands bound behind me and my legs tied apart. He wasn’t even trying to hide it.

The memory of what Lucia and I had been forced to do in front of those men made the shame worse, twisting in my gut.

”Sorry, no can do,” Tsubasa said with a lazy smile. “I don’t have the authority. You’ve got an interrogation coming up, though. Answer well, and maybe you’ll get some clothes. Word of advice: don’t lie. They’ll know.”

He glanced behind me. I craned my neck, struggling against the ropes, and saw a petite girl standing there.

”Hi! I’m the lie detector!” she chirped, stepping forward and grabbing my chest.

Is she… covering me? For a fleeting moment, I hoped. But no—she kept her hands there, kneading as I spoke.

Better than a man touching me, I guess…

 ”What’s your name?” she asked.

”I’m Karnae… Karnae Le Kirke, third princess of Kirkekingdom,” I said.

A jolt shot through me, sharp and electric, starting at my chest.

Oh! Not there!

”Don’t lie,” the girl said, her tone teasing but firm. Her hand slid lower, toward my stomach.

 ”I’m not lying!” I squeaked. “I am a princess!”

 She tilted her head.

 ”Nuh-uh. You’re a slave now, not a princess, right?”

 I froze.

She was right. The Collar of Subjugation around my neck marked me as a slave, stripping away my title.

”Ugh… fine,” I mumbled, tears prickling my eyes. “I’m… the former third princess of Kirkekingdom.”

Her fingers stilled. I’ll never be able to marry now.

The questions continued, and I answered everything.

It all started with a rumor about an epidemic in a small village called Torca, near Vaalkingdom’s border.

Vaalkingdom and Kirkekingdom, both small nations caught between greater powers, had sworn to aid each other in times of need. If a village was suffering, shouldn’t we help?

The epidemic hadn’t spread too far yet, and I had the Goddess’s gift—my healing magic.

If not now, when would I use it? I convinced my father, the king, to send a relief unit to Torca, and I led the way.

By the time I reached Torca, the plague was raging, already creeping into nearby villages and towns. I healed the people there, then hurried to the next village, Mebel.

The captain of the guard urged me to go ahead.

”Leave the rest to us,” he said. “Get to Mebel quickly.” So I traveled from village to town, healing as I went.

I paused, my throat dry. The next part was hard to say.

 ”What’s wrong?” the girl asked.

”Could I… have some tea?” I managed.

She picked up the cup, and for a moment, I thought she’d let me drink. Instead, she took a sip right in front of me.

That’s just cruel.

Then, without warning, she leaned in, pressed her lips to mine, and poured the tea into my mouth.

”Mmph!” I swallowed, the warm liquid soothing my throat, but…

”My lips!” I whimpered, tears welling up. “You stole them!”

The girl tilted her head. “Was that your first kiss?”

I shook my head slightly. My first kiss had been with Lucia, earlier.

”What, wanted Tsubasa to do it instead?” she teased.

I shook my head furiously. No way!

”Then no problem, right?” she said with a grin.

I could only nod, defeated, and went on with my story.

We traveled to several villages and towns, but saving everyone was impossible. Some villages had to be burned to stop the plague’s spread, or so I heard.

”How can the lord of this land do nothing when his people are suffering?” I muttered at one point.

The captain had an answer. “This is Atrea territory.

Rumor has it the lord here taxes his people heavily, buys demi-human slaves, and lives in luxury. He probably doesn’t care about the epidemic because it costs money to fix.”

”That’s unacceptable,” I said. “We’ll go confront him.”

I set course for Atrea’s main town, but along the way, we got word that the lord, enraged by our interference, had ordered an attack on a village near Kirkekingdom’s border.

I wrote a letter of protest and sent the captain to deliver it to Atrea’s capital with three thousand soldiers. The rest of my guards scattered to fend off Vaalkingdom’s forces, leaving only Lucia and a few others by my side.

We decided to regroup and head back to Kirkekingdom, but as we neared the border, Vaal soldiers who’d been raiding a village spotted us.

My remaining guards fled in all directions, and Lucia and I were captured. Those three men brought us here, and… well, you know the rest.

I told them everything, holding nothing back.

I was the victim here—there was nothing to hide. The Vaal soldiers, driven by their petty grudge, were the ones to blame.

”Tsubasa,” I said, my voice firm. “Can you take me to the Royal Palace?”

* * *

Tsubasa wasn’t the only one thrown by the sudden turn of events.

With Kanata away, Tsubasa and Sayaka were handling most of the homeland’s affairs, with Setsugekka assisting. When it came to dungeon matters, though, El’s word was law.

Kirke kingdom and Vaal kingdom were small nations nestled in the Northern Region, caught between the beastman nation of Flora and the mercantile power of Mercuria.

The newly formed Valkyria Federation had shifted the balance, creating a tense stalemate among the Empire, the Federation, and Alfheim. Kirke and Vaal, dwarfed by these giants, were still weighing their options—deciding which power to align with—when this disaster struck.

I sat there, bound to the sofa, my heart heavy with the weight of it all. The room’s calm atmosphere felt like a cruel mockery of the chaos that had brought me here.

Lucia’s soft breathing from the bed was the only sound breaking the silence, but even that couldn’t ease the storm in my chest. Tsubasa’s gaze lingered, unreadable, as I waited for his answer. Would he help me reach the Royal Palace, or was I just another prisoner in this strange, dangerous place?
