Chapter 36 The Rise and Fall of the Flora Kingdom
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
A knight in shimmering silver armor roared, “You’re the Demon Lord? Return the princess!” His full plate gleamed with magic. Beside him stood a knight clutching a large shield and a light-armored warrior with a knife, eyes sharp for any chance to strike. Behind them, a woman in a flowing robe screamed “Mage” with her presence. Another in holy garments marked herself as a cleric.
Kanata, standing tall, glanced back at Leticia and Misia. “Know them?” he asked quietly.
”No,” Misia said. “Likely adventurers aiming to rescue us for fame.”
”Got it,” Kanata replied shortly. He faced the shouting knight. “I’ll ask once. Want to join us?”
”Don’t mock me!” the knight spat. “Join a Demon Lord? Never!”
”Fine,” Kanata said, shrugging. “One more offer. Leave the girls and walk away. I’ll let you go.”
As he spoke, Kanata wove subtle threads, nearly unseen, through the air.
”Stop joking!” the knight yelled, raising his sword. But he froze mid-swing. His companions saw his stillness and tried to flee, but it was too late. Thin threads from the ground bound them tightly, holding them in place.
”Damn it! When?!” the shield knight groaned, his shield clattering to the floor.
”One last time,” Kanata said calmly to the two knights and the light warrior. “Leave the girls and go. I’ll spare you. Choose.”
The light warrior shook, crying, “Spare me! I’ll do anything!”
Kanata nodded to a Lizardman nearby. It stripped the warrior’s gear and tossed him toward the entrance.
”And you two?” Kanata asked the knights.
The leader, who’d been shouting, bowed his head. “Fine.”
”Hey!” the shield knight grabbed him. “You’re leaving Cathy and the others?!”
”What choice is there?” the leader snapped. “He’s too strong. We fight, we die. If we live, we can return for Cathy and them.”
”But what about Cathy and Mel until then?!”
”What can we do? Defy him and we’re done!”
The shield knight argued, but the leader turned to Kanata. “We’ll do as you say, Demon Lord. Let us go.”
”I keep my word,” Kanata said. He signaled an Ogre. The leader was stripped of his gear and thrown toward the entrance, like the warrior before.
”Now, you?” Kanata asked the shield knight.
”I don’t care about me,” the knight said firmly. “Save Mel-dono and Cathy-dono.”
”Hm. Mel-dono’s the cleric girl?” Kanata asked.
”Don’t touch her!” the shield knight shouted, straining against the threads. They didn’t budge.
”El, can you handle it?” Kanata called.
”Sure,” El said, though her voice hesitated. She paused, likely recalling her struggle with Alice, another cleric. El wasn’t fond of them.
But Mel, the cleric, moved easily under El’s control, stepping to Kanata’s side like a puppet.
”No… why… my body…” Mel stammered, trembling as she moved against her will.
”Listen,” Kanata told the shield knight. “We’re disarming you. Resist, and I can’t promise her safety.”
The shield knight sagged. “Fine,” he muttered. Three Ogres stripped his armor, leaving him in underclothes, then bound him again.
”What’s your plan?” the shield knight asked quietly.
”I’d like you to join us,” Kanata said.
The knight’s face twisted in pain. “Fine. I’ll join. Don’t touch Mel-dono or Cathy-dono.”
”I’ll think about it,” Kanata said. “But you attacked us and lost. There’s a price.”
At his signal, El guided Mel to shed her holy garments, leaving her exposed.
”Stop! Please!” the shield knight—Riot—cried, but Kanata cut him off. “Quiet.”
Kanata stepped closer to Mel. El, perched near her, asked, “What now, Kanata?”
”Let’s give our knight friend a show,” Kanata said. “Let her feel something.”
”Got it,” El said. She guided Mel’s hands, stirring a soft rhythm.
”No! Why?! Don’t look, Riot-sama!” Mel sobbed, tears streaming as a strange warmth surged through her, beyond her control.
”Stop… my body… it’s not me…” Mel whispered, her voice trembling.
Her limbs swayed, caught in a rush she couldn’t fight. “Nn… ah…” Mel gasped, her heart pounding. This feels too strong, she thought, lost in a haze.
The sensation grew, overwhelming her. “Ah! What’s happening?!” Mel’s voice shook. “It’s too much!”
”Never felt this before?” El teased, her tone playful. “Just your usual moment, right?”
”No… not like this…” Mel whimpered, her cheeks burning.
El giggled. “Liar. Let’s see how much you can feel.”
The warmth intensified, pulling Mel deeper. “Ah! No… it’s too good!” Mel cried, trembling. This isn’t like anything I know!
El drifted closer, her voice soft. “How’s it feel, Mel?”
”It’s… too much!” Mel gasped, caught in the moment.
”Want more?” El whispered, her eyes glinting.
El’s words stirred the air, urging Mel’s body to move. “No! What are you doing?!” Mel pleaded.
”Feels good, doesn’t it?” El said, unrelenting.
Mel’s breath hitched, her body caught in a rising tide. “I’m… I’m going to—!”
”Go ahead,” El purred. “Let Riot-sama see.”
”No, Riot-sama, don’t look at me!” Mel sobbed. “I’m… I’m—!”
A wave crashed through her, leaving her breathless, her body trembling in its wake. Riot turned away, his face tight with shock.
”Still want more, Mel?” El asked, her voice teasing.
”No… I just… please…” Mel begged, but El’s presence pulled her closer to Riot, her body still swaying.
”Again!” Mel cried, another rush overwhelming her.
Riot muttered, “What… what have you done…?”
El’s gaze caught Riot’s tension. “Saying one thing, feeling another?” she teased.
She guided Mel’s hand to brush Riot’s sleeve, drawing them closer. “Wait, what are you—?” Riot stammered.
El leaned in. “Go on, Mel. Stay close.”
”I’m sorry, Riot-sama,” Mel whispered, tears falling as she leaned forward, caught in El’s pull.
”Ugh! Mel-dono?!” Riot gasped, stunned, as El’s voice urged, “Keep going.”
Mel moved slowly, her mind reeling. This… it’s Riot-sama… it’s too much…
”How’s it feel?” El asked.
Mel shook her head, unable to speak, torn between shame and the overwhelming warmth.
”Want it stronger?” El teased, her voice light.
”Ugh!” Riot groaned, his voice strained. Mel shook her head, her thoughts racing. No… I can’t… it feels so wrong…
”Ugh!” Riot’s voice broke through again. Mel’s heart pounded. I don’t want this… it’s too much…
”Oh? Should I stop?” El asked, pausing her influence. But Mel’s body moved on its own, caught in a rhythm she couldn’t resist.
”What’s this, Mel?” El said, smirking.
Mel shook her head, silent. No… I don’t want this… But the warmth pulled her under, her body swaying as she stayed near Riot.
”Fufu, such a needy girl, Mel-chan,” El teased. Mel couldn’t respond, lost in the moment.
”Alright, Kanata, your turn,” El called.
”Finally,” Kanata said, stepping closer. He reached for Mel, his presence firm, pulling her nearer.
No, please, not this! Mel’s mind screamed, but El’s influence held her, keeping her close to Riot.
”Here we go,” Kanata said. His touch sent a rush through Mel.
”Ah!” Mel gasped, her voice blending with El’s delighted hum. Riot’s face twisted in despair. No… how could this happen… he thought.
Kanata’s presence grew stronger, the moment intensifying. “Aah… Kanata, it’s good,” El purred.
”No! Stop…” Mel cried, her voice breaking as El drew her back to Riot. “Mmph!”
”Keep going!” El urged, her voice rising.
”El! This is perfect!” Kanata replied, his tone sharp.
Mel, caught between them, felt her resolve crumble. “Aah… no… not like this…” she whimpered.
”Doesn’t it feel good?” El teased.
”Nn… no…” Mel lied, her voice trembling.
”Liar,” El said. “Your trembling says otherwise.”
Mel tried to resist, but the warmth was undeniable, pulling her deeper.
”More!” El urged, her voice bright.
The moment built, unstoppable. “Ah! I’m… I’m going to—!” Mel cried.
”Together!” El gasped.
”Aaah! Nooo!” Mel’s voice broke as the rush overwhelmed her, El’s laugh echoing alongside.
”Hah… hah… Riot-sama…” Mel gasped, collapsing, her mind fading. Goddess… I’m ruined…
”I told you not to touch her,” Riot growled, his voice bitter.
Kanata glanced at Riot’s tension. “Not convincing when you’re like that. Want her to help you again?”
”Tch, that’s not—!” Riot began.
”Whatever,” Kanata said. “You need time to cool off.” He signaled for Riot to be taken away.
”Hey, Master,” a sultry voice called. Lanary, a Succubus, sidled up. “Can I have him?”
”Caught your eye?” Kanata asked.
”Totally my type,” Lanary purred.
”He’s loyal to Mel, you know,” Kanata said.
”No problem,” Lanary grinned. “I’ll make him forget that little girl.”
”Fine,” Kanata said. “But he’s useful, so don’t break him.”
”Don’t worry,” Lanary said. “I’ll keep him close.” Kanata waved her off.
”Phew, that was a lot,” Kanata said, slumping in the Control Room with El.
”Tell me about it,” El replied. “I’m stuffed.”
Kanata glanced at the monitor. The prisoner rooms, built for captured girls, were nearly half full—100 rooms, bustling with activity. They sorted the girls: some for close aides, others for servants, a few for other roles. The sheer number meant Kanata and El spent most of their time managing them, a shared headache.
”Close the route?” Kanata asked, pointing at the monitor’s “Demon Lord Direct Route” sign.
The Flora Kingdom had fallen under Kanata’s control, a fact he shrugged off. Leticia, exposed by an artifact, refused to return home, throwing the kingdom into chaos. Kanata had appointed the former king as a proxy to maintain order, but opposition grew. To counter it, he and Misia crafted the “Demon Lord Subjugation Plan”: blame the Demon Lord, promise nobility, land, and even Leticia to whoever defeated him.
Kanata renovated part of Kuu-chan’s Dungeon, creating an entrance near the Flora Kingdom. Adventurers faced traps and magical beasts to reach his throne room. Defeat him, and riches awaited. Parties flooded in daily. Weak ones became dungeon fuel, but Kanata checked for girls he liked, guiding them to the throne.
Rumors spread that parties with girls fared better, leading to more female adventurers—or all-girl groups. None returned to the surface.
Captured girls faced Kanata first. Based on looks or personality, some were sent to his subordinates, others kept for specific roles. Most, after breaking, stayed on. Kanata offered release or work; many chose to stay, drawn by better conditions than their old lives as adventurers. Some even returned after being freed. Men like Riot sometimes joined, forming bonds, and a small village grew in the Dungeon’s residential area.
”We’ve got enough people and power,” Kanata said. “Close the route?”
”Not yet,” El said. “The king sent a petition. The ‘Subjugation Demand’ is boosting their economy. Merchants I’ve approved are raking it in, and taxes are high. Plus, we’re controlling trade through them. It’s working too well to stop.”
”Master! Kanata-sama!” a girl’s voice shouted. El sighed as the door swung open.
Princess Alusia of Mercuria stepped in, her eyes bright.
