Fake-Survivor 181

Chapter 181 The Saint

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

After spending the night within the private quarters of Bishop Canon, we had barely finished our morning preparations when a soft knock announced the arrival of Martina and Roselia.

”Excuse us…” Martina said, her voice trailing off as she stepped into the room.

”Good morning!” Roselia added with a bright, cheerful chirp.

”Er, well…” Martina paused, her gaze flickering around the room.

The Bishop’s radiant, glossy smile and the very atmosphere of the chamber seemed to tell a story all its own. Martina was quick to discern exactly how we had spent our evening. The room was spacious, yet even the morning air had failed to fully clear the lingering scent of our tryst. Truth be told, the state of the bed behind the folding screen was quite enough to betray us.

Roselia seemed to reach the same conclusion. She and Martina turned toward the Bishop, their expressions a mix of flustered indignation and longing.

”That’s just not fair, Your Excellency!” Roselia cried. “We were the ones who were actually saved by him; we thought we should be the first!”

Bishop Canon, not looking the least bit repentant, simply offered a smooth reply.

”In that case, why don’t you two take your turn as well? It will be another two days before Lady Sakura’s power ¹ is ready to be used again. I am sure Mr. Koji won’t mind two more companions.”

”What!?” the two women gasped in unison, their heads snapping toward me.

They stared at me with eyes that were unmistakably full of hope. Given my experiences with the five members of the Silver Orchid ² and the time spent at the Gavrett estate, adding two more was hardly a concern for me. I glanced toward Ms. Sakura to gauge her reaction.

She looked back at me and gave a small, knowing nod.

It seemed she understood my intention to ensure she had her own opportunities as well. In her case, I could always provide a black mini tomato ³ to sneak in a few extra private moments.

”Well,” I said, turning back to the pair. “We do have the time, so I don’t mind.”

”Oh! Thank you! We look forward to being in your care!” they replied, their faces lighting up with pure joy.

Bishop Canon nodded, satisfied, and began to outline our future path. “Let us discuss the schedule. It is quite simple, really. Once Lady Sakura is able to use her ability, we shall depart for a specific destination.”

I realized then that while the Bishop had mentioned testing Sakura’s power, she hadn’t specified where we were going. I had assumed it would be somewhere nearby; after all, teleportation doesn’t require a long distance to prove it works, and a ruler like Canon shouldn’t be away from her city for too long.

”And where exactly is this destination?” I asked.

”It is here…” the Bishop said, pulling a map from her desk.

She spread it out before us. It was far less precise than the maps of my previous world, showing only the rough locations of settlements and the main roads. She pointed to a single spot.

”This is where we are headed.”

 ”And that is?” I prompted.

”The General Headquarters of the Holy Church . The leader of the moderate faction resides there. I intend to inform them of Lady Sakura’s power and request the maximum possible support for her future.”

”What!?” Sakura let out a startled cry. The prospect of meeting such high-ranking individuals clearly intimidated her, though the others in the room seemed to find the plan perfectly logical.

”Lady Sakura,” Canon continued smoothly, “your power is exceptionally useful, even if it can only be used once every three days. This is a necessary step. You will require a dedicated guard, and if you prefer women, the Headquarters has the best-trained candidates. Many are raised and educated there specifically for such roles.”

 ”I… I see,” Sakura murmured.

”Of course, we shall limit the selection to those within our own faction, so you needn’t worry about the quality of the personnel.”

I nodded along. It made sense. While they likely trained guards here, the Headquarters would undoubtedly have the elite. The only concern was the black mini tomato. If she was constantly under watch, she might lose the chance to eat them and keep her mana up. Still, they were small enough that I could probably distract the guards for a second while she slipped one in.

”It looks quite far from here,” I observed, looking at the map. “If something happens and Sakura’s teleportation fails, you would be away from your post for a long time.”

”Indeed. Normally, it would be a journey of about two months. However, our general policies are set, and I have deputies who can manage in my absence. Besides…”

 ”Besides?” I asked.

She smiled at me. “Mr. Koji will be accompanying us, will he not? Even if Lady Sakura’s power is unavailable, I suspect we could return much faster than expected using your ‘floating power’.”

”Ah, so you had that in mind too?” I said.

 ”Yes!” she chirped.

Thanks to the reports from Martina and the others, she knew I had flown them from the rescue site to Dungeon City in record time. She was clearly using my abilities as a contingency plan. I wanted to keep my flight hidden if possible, but as long as I could keep my ability to generate items a secret, it would be fine. Most people can’t see magic power unless they are like Ferris, so they wouldn’t notice the mechanics of it. I just hoped I wouldn’t have to use it in front of the new companions.

With that, it was settled. We were going to the Holy Church Headquarters.

As our plans were finalized, we were left with two days of idle time. I turned to the Bishop as she prepared to head out for her administrative meetings.

”By the way, doesn’t a Saint need to study something about the Holy Church?” I asked.

”That can wait until she is formally recognized,” Canon replied. “What is required of a Saint is her power above all else. In fact, some Saints have no interest in learning the teachings at all.”

 ”Is that so?”

”It is. The teachings themselves can be carried on by those who have studied them diligently.”

It seemed the message was more important than the messenger. Of course, that also meant the message could be interpreted or altered by whoever held the power. Canon continued.

”This was a teaching from the Founder herself: ‘Those with talent should not be forced into anything by that talent alone.’”

I wondered if that was a reflection of Ms. Horibata’s own feelings. If she had been brought from another world against her will to save humanity, she might have resented the heavy burden placed upon her.

Regardless, Sakura didn’t need to hit the books just yet. That left us both with nothing but time… until the Bishop announced she was leaving Martina and Roselia with us.

”I shall leave Martina and the other here. Please feel free to use them as you wish until the day of our departure.”

 ”Eh?” I blinked.

Martina and Roselia weren’t the Bishop’s personal guards; she clearly had others for that. Looking at the two of them, I saw their faces turning a deep, vivid red as they fidgeted.

 ”Well…”

”It is just as the Bishop said,” Martina whispered. “Please… use us as you wish.”

”The lives and bodies you saved belong to you now,” Roselia added, her voice trembling slightly.

As they pressed closer, I glanced toward the door. The Bishop had left, but several churchwomen had entered to clean up the disastrous state of the bed.

”Wait, there are people right there,” I muttered.

”It’s fine,” Martina said with a shy smile. “After seeing the state of that bed, they already know what happened last night. Please, don’t hold back.”

I looked at Ms. Sakura. She seemed to realize that this was the only chance these two would have, unlike herself, so she simply watched with a troubled but silent acceptance.

 ”Well, we do have time…”

”See! Lady Sakura says so too!” they both insisted.

They were both beautiful women, and without a solid reason to refuse, I found it difficult to say no. I tried to buy some time by claiming I wasn’t quite in the mood yet, hoping the cleaners would finish first.

”In that case, we shall put you in the mood!” they declared.

With a sudden, energetic movement, they shed their clothes and equipment, pressing toward me in nothing but their undergarments. Their intensity was almost overwhelming.

”Did the Bishop say something to you?” I asked.

Their faces grew even redder. “She said… it was better than anything in this world,” Martina confessed. “She said she thought she might have died several times from the pleasure,” Roselia added.

It seemed the Bishop’s glowing review had set their expectations sky-high. Since they seemed experienced enough, I didn’t want to disappoint them. As I sat on the edge of the bed, they both knelt before me.

”Allow us to show our gratitude!” they said, reaching out.

 Two days later.

I woke to the sound of soft splashing and a pleasant, rhythmic sensation.

Swish swish… glide glide…

”Nnh, hah…” A soft sigh escaped from the person currently tending to me. It was Bishop Canon herself, the owner of the bed.

Looking around, I saw Ms. Sakura, Ms. Ivrita, Martina, and Roselia all lying nearby, exhausted and unclothed. The two knights had joined the fray over the last forty-eight hours, and it seemed they couldn’t get enough of it whenever there was a spare moment.

 ”It’s morning already,” I said.

”It is. So, I am just doing a little cleaning,” Canon replied with a wink.

She leaned down, pressing her lips to me with a firm, rhythmic thump. She wasn’t being gentle; her cheeks were hollowed as she pulled with focused intensity, a mischievous, unrefined grin playing on her face. I didn’t stop her. Before long, she sensed the change in me and increased the pace.

Thump thump thump thump!

 ”Ugh!”

Stream stream!

 ”Mmmph!”

She took every bit of it, and only when the flow stopped did she slowly pull away.

Gulp, gulp… sigh! She opened her mouth wide to show me she had swallowed it all.

”Thank you for the treat. Please let me have plenty more later.”

Despite her words, once the others woke up and began preparing for the journey, she donned her professional mask once more. She turned to Sakura with a sharp, focused expression.

”Are you ready, Lady Sakura? If you please.”

 ”Yes. Here we go.”

In an instant, Sakura activated her power. All of us, standing in contact with her, vanished from the room in a single breath.

 Character Insight:

This chapter highlights Bishop Canon’s shrewdness; she isn’t just a seductress but a calculated political player using Koji’s abilities as a multi-layered contingency. Sakura continues to struggle with the weight of her impending ‘Saint’ status, relying on Koji’s presence for emotional stability.
