”Hey, there was an announcement from the guild!”
”Tomorrow, the new dungeon ‘Raetia Great Labyrinth’ is opening up!”
Noriss and Lotta, who had rushed to the guild to sell the ‘magic stones’ they got from defeating Otto’s pawn, burst into the cafeteria in a panic.
”It’s finally happening…”
Gièze had just asked Eluda to sharpen her curved sword (shamshir) and had received it back, pulling it out of its sheath to admire the blade.
”My grandpa’s new alloy is light, but it needs regular blade maintenance.”
Eluda smiled brightly at the sight.
”So, how much did you get?”
Kazumi appeared from the kitchen with the wolf maids, serving tea from a tray she held in front of me.
The wolf maids were also distributing tea to everyone.

Noriss quickly pulled out a pouch from her bag and handed it to Kazumi.
”Even though they were low-level youma, depending on their size, those magic stones were worth 5 silver coins to one small gold coin!”
”Also, the ‘Shadow-Creeping Demon’ that Ms. Asuka defeated was worth 6 gold coins! So, that’s a total of ten gold coins and 5 small gold coins.”
Kazumi placed the tray on the table and checked the contents of the pouch Noriss handed her.
”Good job. ──Since we have dungeon exploration coming up, you’ll get your pay when you return. Everyone can look forward to it.”
Noriss and Lotta smiled happily at Kazumi’s words.
That’s right.
These kids have the goal of bringing their families together and supporting them.
”Tomorrow, we’re starting from the Third Floor, right?”
I asked Liz, who came into the cafeteria with Simona.
”Yeah. We just decided on the team composition. ──Will everyone be able to gather?”

”First up, the Low-floor team. I’ll leave the First Floor to Second Floor from the dungeon entrance to you guys.”
After that intro, the names were called out.

Leader: Gièze Jäger.

Rearguard: Eluda Freeberry, Karina O’Brian, Lotta Dressel, and Porter Noo.
”On top of these members… Simona Schmidt will be tagging along, but… sorry, please take care of her.”
Liz’s last words seemed directed at Simona, but when everyone saw her pointing at Simona with her thumb and giving a look to Gièze, they all got it.
”Simona stood next to Liz, smackin’ Liz’s chest wit’ the back of her hand.”

”No, it’s just that I feel bad leaving the troublesome ‘Berserker’ to Gièze and the others…”
”I won’t be a bother! My normal strength is more than enough!”
Everyone burst out laughing at that exchange.
”Well, dat’s how it is. Low-floor team, I’m countin’ on y.”
Simona scratched her head, looking a bit shy at everyone’s reaction.
”Ms. Simona is coming… I-I’ll be counting on you!”
”I gotta make sure I’m not a nuisance…”
”I might not even use magic…”
Sister Karina, Noriss, and Lotta chimed in.
Noriss and Lotta looked really happy, which was striking.
It seems like it’s gonna be a fun exploration.
”Ms. Simona, please guide us well. ──Ms. Liz, I’ve entrusted Ms. Simona to you. Please focus on the deep-FLOOR exploration without worry.”
”Gièze! What you just said is way too different from the start to the end!”
…Lately, Gièze has been making a lot of jokes.

”Alright, let’s go with the deep floor group.”

Leader: Liz Weissman.
Sub-Leader: Dorothy.
Vanguard: Hiroya O’Brien, Asuka Lombard, Martina Regios, Dorothy.
Rearguard: Rena Rosen, Kazumi Müller, Aluda Freeberry, Liz Weissman, and Porter Uu.
”With this team, we’ll start from the Third Floor using the teleportation circle we set up. Meluda will stay behind… right?”
Liz reads the roster and looks at Meluda at the end.
”By the way, my uncle is coming from the Royal Capital. I got a letter from Grandpa 2 days ago saying, ‘You all should accompany Hiroya and the others as much as possible. Don’t neglect equipment maintenance while exploring.’ It seems he’s sending my uncle here to take care of the shop.”
Looks like Meluda will stay to welcome him.
”When’s he supposed to arrive?”
Kazumi asks Meluda.
”Tomorrow morning.”
”Then let’s delay the deep floor group’s departure by a day. We haven’t explored the Third Floor much yet, so having Meluda around would make Rena feel safer.”
Rena stands up next to Kazumi and appeals to Liz.
”I’m with you, Rena! If we end up searching for a ‘hidden door’ like before, having both Aluda and Meluda would really help.”
Martina raises her hand.
”That’s true, the high detection ability of dwarves underground is a powerful weapon for us.”
Dorothy says this and looks at Liz.
”Hmm…”
Liz crosses her arms and thinks.
Then she mutters softly.
”Yeah… if we want to be fully prepared, delaying by a day could be a good idea…”
”Alright, then it’s settled!”
Kazumi immediately decides after hearing Liz’s mutter.
”We’re going to an unexplored floor. We should be careful. ──Okay, Meluda, you’re coming with us.”
Liz gives that instruction to Meluda.
”…Is that okay?”
”Yeah. We need Meluda with us.”
When I say that, Meluda beams with a big smile.
”That’s right. Ms. Hanna and Suu, we’re counting on you to hold down the fort.”
Liz calls out to Ms. Hanna and Suu, who are sitting at the edge of the table.
The two respond with smiles and nods.
”Alright, the group heading to the lower floors, don’t slack off on your preparations for tomorrow!”
At Liz’s voice, everyone nods and stands up.

”Honestly… I wanna go wit’ you too… but…”
After we break up, Simona whispers next to me, her face red, in the open space on the second floor.
”I’ll make sure you both team up together sometime. ──But you’re getting a bit too clingy with Hiroya!”
And across from me, Liz glares at Simona, who is intertwined with me.
”More importantly… there’s an important talk before we leave…”
Kazumi opens her mouth, sitting across from me.
Right now, the members in this open space are Kazumi, Rena, Martina, Liz, Dorothy, Aluda, and Simona.
All my girls are here.
”First off, Hiroya and I… we got engaged with both families’ approval♡ We’re getting married in 3 years when I turn 12♡.”
Kazumi said this while shyly cupping her cheeks with both hands.
”Oh! That’s wonderful! Is it because you told them about your past life?”
Liz leaned in and asked.
”When my mom and dad heard that I’ve loved Hiroya since my past life, they both started crying… especially my dad. He was like, ‘We need to call the lord right away and ask for the engagement!’”
Everyone smiled warmly at Kazumi as she spoke.
”Well, my dad is a knight and a one-generation noble, but Hiroya’s family is a baron family… so because of family matters, we’ll have to get married first…”
Suddenly, Kazumi seemed to snap back to reality and said this to everyone.
”There’s nothing to worry about. We’re really happy that Ms. Kazumi and Mr. Hiroya are engaged and will get married.”
Dorothy smiled with tears in her eyes.
”Yeah, yeah! I’m so excited for Big Brother Hiroya and Big Sis Kazumi’s wedding!”
”Hey! Let’s have Aluda make the outfits!”
Martina and Aluda exchanged smiles.
”Of course, I’ll be the goddess of the wedding, okay?”
Rena said this and added, “A childhood friend’s wedding is the ultimate sweetness…” with a look that could melt sugar.
”We’re all for celebratin’, so there’s no reason to oppose dis.”
Simona said while patting my head.
”Thanks, everyone. Well, the wedding is still 3 years away.”
”Of course, Hiroya will marry everyone too. I’m just going first…”
At Kazumi’s words, everyone looked at me with eyes full of expectation.
”Of course! You all are my precious ‘girls.’ I’ll never let another guy have you.”
When I said this in a slightly Hiroya-like way, everyone sparkled with hearts in their eyes and swayed their hips.
