(Liz’s POV)
”Martina! Can you come here for a moment?”
I called out to Martina, who had just rinsed her hair.
”Hmm? What’s wrong, Big Sister Liz?”
”Could you fill a bucket with water and bring it here? Karina seems to be getting lightheaded.”
”Karina, did you soak too long?”
Martina rinsed her body, filled the bucket with water, and headed this way.
”Mmm, nice water. ──Here. Are you okay? Karina… wait…!?”
”Martina, shh!”
I covered Martina’s mouth with my hand and pulled her close.
Fortunately, Lotta, Gunilla, and Romy were still facing away, washing their bodies.
”The timing is bad. Hiroya can’t get out of the bath now.”
Asuka explained to Martina in a low voice.
Martina, held by me and with her mouth covered, nodded repeatedly.
In the meantime, Karina was scooping water from the bath and rinsing her face.
”Phew… it’s cold and feels nice… I-I’m somehow okay.”
Gieze placed a towel soaked in water around Karina’s neck.
”I have to hide it somehow. Got it.”
Martina grabbed my hand, showing her understanding of the situation.
”Huh? Why aren’t you submerged up to your shoulders?”
Lotta, who entered the hot spring, tilted her head as she looked at us.
”It’s called a half-body bath. It’s a method to warm the whole body slowly by only soaking the lower half…”
Gieze answered.
”I see…” Lotta replied and sank her body into the water with Romy and Gunilla.
”I like being submerged up to my shoulders. It feels good to have my whole body relaxed.”
”Me too. I didn’t know hot water could feel this good until I came to this village.”
”Wah, my body is too big (because I’m big)… so I can’t soak up to my shoulders.”
While Lotta and Romy slowly sink their bodies up to their shoulders, Gunilla is soaking in the water, leaning back with her face up.
”Ms. Liz and the others are in a bit deeper. Gunilla might find it easier to soak over there.”
”Is that so?”
Gunilla sits up and looks over here.
This is bad.
”This is not good… what should we do?”
Asuka turns to me.
”…Let’s move in a line of 5 and hide Hiroya while we shift to the edge of the tub. We’ll escape from there.”
At my instruction, Asuka, Martina, Gieze, and Karina nod slightly.
”Huh? What should we do?”
”W-We’re getting out of the bath, so you can come over after that.”
Seeing Gunilla start to come this way, I hurriedly respond.
Turning right, I led Asuka, Martina, Gieze, and Karina in a line towards the edge of the tub.
Hiroya hid behind us, trying to keep his body submerged in the water as much as possible.
”As expected of Ms. Liz. It’s like a well-organized army.”
I feel a bit guilty seeing Lotta genuinely impressed.

As everyone exits the tub, I lower my posture and step over the edge.

She muttered softly, her face turning red in an instant… and her body collapsed, sinking into the tub.
”Sister Karina!”
Gieze, who was in front of Karina, hadn’t noticed either, so I hurriedly reached out to pull Sister Karina up.

Gunilla looks over here with a surprised expression.
At Gunilla’s voice, Lotta and Romy also turn to look this way.

The gazes of Aluda, Eluda, and Meluda were painful.
”Ms. Hanna, Suu, Noo, and Shinobu are still left, right?”
