Chapter 341 Azradelius (Part I)

(Hiroya’s POV)
The upper and lower halves of Otto’s corpse separated, and his remains turned into black mist and disappeared.
Seeing that scene and the remaining magic stone, I realized once again that Otto was no longer human.
”Come on, we can’t stay here! ──Haya!”
I quickly mounted the dapple gray horse.
”Take care of Kazumi. ──Azradelius’s target seems to be my mother and Koichi.”
”Lady Megumi and… Koichi?!”
Even Liz seems to think so.
I can’t wrap my head around it.
”Doll said so. I don’t understand, so I’m heading to I’m’s house.”
Leaving the women behind, still frozen in shock, I spurred Haya on.

(Megumi’s POV)
”Mom! Leave the youma to us!”
”We’ll take care of these youma. ──Are you ready, Gorge!”
”I’m on it!”
Koichi drew his longsword, and next to him, AelAel silently readied her longsword.
AsuAsu drew her odachi from her back, and Gorge smiled, carrying a bastard sword on his shoulder.

Soon after Liz-Liz and the others headed towards Kazumi’s house, AsuAsu and Gorge came to help, but right after that, a swarm of youma appeared at the mansion.
And leading them was…
”Father Nai… no, Azradelius!”
Beyond the horde of youma.
My arch-nemesis stood there with a defiant smirk.
”Megumi… it seems I can finally have you.”
As Azradelius raised his right arm, the youma scattered and charged towards us.
I slung my greatsword over my shoulder and rushed towards my hated nemesis, paying no attention to the youma.
”It’s your fault! I should have been defeated by Mr. Shinshi… It’s your fault!”
Kicking away the pursuing youma, I push off the ground and leap at Azradelius.
I raise the greatsword I’m wielding high and bring it down over his head.
──Clank!
The blade that sprouted from Azradelius’s left arm stopped my full-power strike.
”It’s all because of my love for you. Because of that, I was able to avoid death and take on my mission in this world.”
”That first-person perspective still ticks me off.”

Azradelius──In the previous world, he was known as Father Nai, the leader of a cult plotting the resurrection of an evil god sleeping at the bottom of the sea.
In the earlier world, he had been working behind the scenes as an aide to the king who brought calamity.
A person who carries a completely opposite fate to mine, who wanders through the multiverse as a ‘hero’s companion.’
In the previous world, I defeated this guy who called himself Father Nai along with Mr. Shinshi… My fate as a ‘hero’s companion’ should have ended there.
That’s why I fell in love wholeheartedly with Mr. Shinshi and had Hiroya with him.
(And yet…)
He was alive.
And he had already begun to operate in this world.
I was once again assigned the role of ‘hero’s companion’… Coming to this world, I left Mr. Shinshi and young Hiroya behind.

”It’s your… It’s your fault!”
Blade meets blade…
I kick Azradelius in the shoulder and put some distance between us.
”Take this”
With that one word, all the youma around me jumped on me at once.
”You’re in the way!”
Swinging my greatsword with all my might, I instantly swept away the youmas that leaped at me.
”You’re still as fierce as ever. That’s why you’re worthy of being my wife.”
Azradelius looks at me, ecstatic as he kills the youma that come at him one after another, and it makes me feel sick.
””Ma’am!””
”Megumi!
”Mama Hiroya!”
I glanced in the direction of the voice calling me, and saw that the number of youma around where Koichi and AsuAsu were fighting was rapidly decreasing.
Fire pillars rose up everywhere, and youma were blown away…
After cutting down the youma, Bone, Ms. Helena, and Ms. Frieda ran over here, clearing a path.
Rena-chan and probably the Rose Hip members are supporting Koichi and AelAel.
”The tide has turned. Give up, you priest!”
Bone, Ms. Helena, and Ms. Frieda are protecting my back as I face Azradelius.
”Leave the small fry to us, Megumi, and settle your score with that guy!”
”My lady, the youma in the village will be handled by Rose Hip, black sheep and the adventurers.”
”My lady, please fight him without any worries!”
Bone wielded a flexible scythe that has been loved since the hero party days, Ms. Helena had a bastard sword, and Ms. Frieda held 2 katanas as they cut into the swarm of youma.
”Now I can take you on without holding back!”
I jump into Azradelius’s embrace.
Then, I swing my greatsword, which I held back, in a horizontal slash.
”Kuku”
Azradelius quickly retreats backwards to dodge my swift strike.
”I finally tore you and Shinshi apart… and now you belong to ‘that guy in this world’ again… and I care about you so much.”
Azradelius steps away and raises one hand.
”Iron Wall (Lampard)!”
A light is emitted from Azradelius, and when I look in that direction, Koichi and AelAel are enveloped in the light.
”What is this!”
”Mr. Koichi!”
”Koichi! Aelia!”
”What is this!
AsuAsu and Gorge reach out to them, but the light rises higher.
And then Azradelius raises the other arm.
(This is bad! The concentration of this magical power…)
I have to stop it before using magic.
I swing my greatsword once more and close in on Azradelius.
”Annihilation!”
(The ultimate area attack magic!?)
”E-Extra Protection!”
I hear a voice invoking magic, similar to Rena’s scream.
In the next moment, the whole area was enveloped in dazzling light.

(Hiroya’s POV)
”What the heck is this…”
The shining light before I reached home.
When I hurried over…
I found Asuka, Gorge, Bone, Ms. Helena, Ms. Frieda, and Rose Hip’s 4 members crouching on the ground, and──
”Rena!”
I jumped off Haya and lifted the collapsed Rena.
”Hiroya… It’s okay, thanks to Rena’s protection magic… I should have only received a fatal injury…”
Seeing Rena’s weak smile, anger began to boil within me.
’That guy…an ancient demon used the ultimate magic?’
I hear the mysterious voice again, as if it has sucked magical power from me.
’Lord, calm down… You are nothing compared to me, but… you cannot be defeated by anger alone’
Right now, only a figure standing here.
My mom’s bikini armor was destroyed, and the figure was holding my half-n*ked mother in his arms. Next to her were Koichi and Aelia, both wrapped in the light.
”Mom…Koichi, Aelia…”
”You’ve appeared, Megumi’s child”
The figure puts Mom into the light that is wrapping Koichi and Aelia, and faces me.
A young man with short, blond hair and well-defined features.
And this voice…
”Azradelius. I thought you were waiting at the bottom of the dungeon.”
”I have something to plan here too. I’ve finished my business, so I’m on my way home now.”
He says this with a refreshing smile, but that smile is pretty disgusting.
”You’re not allowed to go home. You’re going to die here.”
I lower my stance and place my hand on ‘Yamikirimaru.’
”Previously, I witnessed your battle with Otto, but… your swordsmanship somehow infuriates me.”
Azradelius’s refreshing smile twists into a bitter grimace in an instant.
”So what!”
I kick off the ground and close the distance to Azradelius in an instant.
”I can see it!”
In response to my drawn katana, he aims the blade that sprouts with his left arm at me.
However, I have ‘Father’s Eyes.’
Reading Azradelius’s movements, I slip past his protection and slash at his torso.
”Wha!?”
His eyes widen in shock, soon revealing a hint of pain.
”Wow… is this what I see?”
”This move… it seems like you predicted my… my movements… I see…”
Holding his slashed side, Azradelius creates distance from me.
”O… Obu Shinshiiii!!!”
The enraged Azradelius lunges at me, ignoring the deep wound in his side.
