Chapter 343 After the Battle

(Liz’s POV)
As Hiroya mounted Haya and headed straight for the lord’s mansion, Gieze appeared driving a carriage towards us, who were tending to Kazumi.
”A-a-are you all okay!?”
Karina rushed out from the back of the carriage in a panic.
”I’m fine… but Kazumi… ouch!”
”Ms. Liz isn’t okay either. She was pulled at all 4 limbs…”
As I tried to stand up towards Karina, a sharp pain shot through my legs, and Dorothy supported me and answer on my stead.
”W-well, we need to treat Ms. Kazumi…”
Karina rushed to Kazumi, who was lying down, took off her cloak, and draped it over the half-n*ked Kazumi.
”I brought everyone’s equipment. ──Lotta, can you help me down?”
Gieze got down from the driver’s seat and went to the back of the carriage to unload armor and weapons.
”Is there anyone else injured?”
Lotta also got down from the carriage and brought my composite bow, short sword, and armor.
”Big Sister Liz seems to be in a bit of pain.”
Martina received the equipment from Lotta, and Lotta squatted down beside me.
”Ms. Liz, where does it hurt?”
”Both arms, both legs… especially the joints…”
”I just started learning from Rena, so I’m inexperienced, but I’ll use ‘Healing’ on you.”
”That would help a lot──so, what about everyone else?”
As Lotta held her hand over me, I saw my right shoulder faintly glowing and asked Gieze.
”Ms. Asuka and Mr. Gorge went to the lord’s mansion. Noriss is with the wolf girls defending the Clan house.”
Gieze answered while handing equipment to Martina and Dorothy.
”Is Ms. Hanna, Mr. Toldo, and Ms. Sasha safe?”
Dorothy changes into the equipment she received.
”Of course. Ms. Shinobu is here too. The Clan house was attacked by Otto, but Mr. Hiroya, Ms. Asuka, and Ms. Laura from ‘Rose Hip’ and their companions dealt with them and left right away.”
Gieze, who is helping Martina change, laughs.
”What about Gunnie and RomRom?”
”They said they would ‘go,’ but since they don’t have any combat ability, they’re waiting quietly at the Clan house. ──Ms. Martina, is this okay?”
Gieze attaches Martina’s leg armor and gives it a pat.
”M-Ms. Kazumi!”
Suddenly, Karina’s voice echoes.
I hurriedly ran over to Kazumi.
Aluda, Eluda, and Meluda, who were putting on their equipment behind the carriage, also rushed over.
”Kazumi! Are you okay?”
”Yeah… O-Otto?”
Kazumi slowly opens her eyes in response to Aluda’s call.
”Hiro took care of him.”
”This time it’s okay. He left behind the Magic Stone and scattered into mist.”
Eluda and Meluda spoke to her with tears in their eyes.
”I see… I had a terrible dream… being restrained and attacked by Otto…”
Kazumi rubbed her wrist as she said this, then suddenly looked up in realization.
”N-No way…”
”It’s okay. Ms. Kazumi and everyone were restrained by tentacles, but Mr. Hiroya saved us.”
For a moment, fear appeared on Kazumi’s face, but… perhaps relieved by Dorothy’s response, her expression changed to one of relief.
”Karina~! Can ya start ‘Healin” on us soon? My body’s killin’ me and I ain’t movin’…”
I heard Simona’s pitiful voice from beyond Dorothy’s vine dome.
”I gave it my all, went totally berserker, so now I’m feeling every ounce of pain.”
”I, I, I understand──Ms. Simona! I, I, I’m coming now…”
Karina hurriedly ran over to Simona.

”I see. Finally, that Otto…”
Gieze spoke happily.
”Ah, he won’t be coming back anymore.”
”That’s right. He was beaten up by Simona and cut in half by Hiroya… turned to dust and blown away by the wind.”
Simona spoke to reassure Gieze and the others.
Despite lying down with her arms spread out, she smiled proudly.
”Oh, by the way! Can someone go to the… second-floor bedroom of the mansion? My mom is hiding!”
”I’ll go, Big Sis Kazumi!”
Martina stood up and ran toward the mansion.

(Gunilla’s POV)
”Noriss!”
Romy and I brought the light snacks they made with the wolf maids inside the mansion to Mr. Noriss and the others guarding outside.
”Romy, Gunilla, it’s still dangerous outside──but it looks delicious!”
”Laura and the others, come eat too!”
”Y-Yes, thank you!”
””””””It looks so delicious!””””””
The companions of Ms. Laura swarmed around the ‘roll bread filled with bacon and vegetables’ that I offered.
”What is this? It’s amazing!”
”I’ve never eaten such delicious bread before!”
”The bacon is juicy and savory!”
”And what is this sauce? I’ve never tasted a sauce like this!”
”It’s a sour sauce… and it has finely chopped vegetables in it. And… is that an egg?”
”You guys… you’re girls, so don’t eat so greedily…”
While stuffing their mouths with bread, Ms. Laura muttered in exasperation as her companions shared their thoughts.
”──It’s delicious!”

”What about everyone inside?”
Mr. Noriss asked Romy while munching on bread.
”Ms. Sasha, Ms. Hanna, and Grandpa Toldo are still in the basement. Noo should have taken this to them.”
Romy said while holding a piece of bread in her mouth.
”Mr. Toldo is in danger in another sense. With 2 beautiful women…”
”It’s okay. Shinobu is here with them.”
Wow, I also ate some bread.
As always, the cooking made by Wolf Maid-chan is delicious.
I guess she’s being trained by Ms. Hanna.
”Even though they call it a basement, it looked more like a proper guest room with about 4 rooms. The only thing missing was a window, and it looked so comfortable I could almost want to live there.”
”It’s that good of a room? I haven’t been in there yet…”
”I hear it’s a Safety Zone for emergencies. It’s meant for situations like this.”
For some reason, Romy was proudly answering.
Well, it’s something Ms. Gieze taught me, though.

”By the way… why was everyone here?”
After finishing their meal, Mr. Noriss was licking his fingers as he asked Ms. Laura and the others.
…That’s not very polite, Mr. Noriss.
”This mansion will be the headquarters for us ‘Rose Hip.’ So, well, we’ve been tasked with tidying up and cleaning…”
”We’ll be neighbors… well, actually, we’ll be across the street from each other. Nice to meet you, Noriss♡”
A petite girl winks at Mr. Noriss.
I think she is Ms. Silke.
”What? You’re blushing? Are you embarrassed to be surrounded by beautiful women like us?”
A tall woman with tanned skin pokes Mr. Noriss’ cheek with her finger.
This is Annabelle.
”Oh no♡ He’s really embarrassed♡”
”Wow♡ Cute♡”
Two magician-like girls, who called themselves Nele and Nina, were holding Mr. Noriss between their bodies.
”You guys should really cut it out. ──Sorry, Noriss. These girls… they have a thing for younger boys.”
A woman named Eugenia, who seems to be a Tank, quietly admonished the companions teasing Mr. Noriss.
”This boy has a childhood friend named Lotta, so you can’t make a move on him, okay?”
Finally finishing her bread, Romy warned the 4 who were having fun.
”I don’t mind if he has a girlfriend♡. Once our clan moves here… let’s get along♡”
Ms. Annabelle hugged the small Mr. Noriss from behind, covering him with her large body.
”Y-y-yeah, nice to meet you…”
”Noriss? If you keep acting all lovey-dovey… I’ll tell Lotta.”
Romy watched the scene with a side-eye.
”N-no! Please don’t tell Romy! ──G-gunilla too?”
”I didn’t catch much of nothin’…”
Romy turned her gaze away from the blushing and lovestruck Mr. Noriss.
