Behind the laughing head of the merchant guild, Sasha, the guard called Shinobu gave a slight bow.
(Hmm. She seems quite skilled.)
Her sharp gaze made me feel her loyalty to head of the merchant guild, Sasha, and her undeniable strength.
”But, Shinji──the lord mentioned it, but I never expected to enjoy such a delicious meal. Lady Hanna, did you cook this yourself?”
Next to me, savoring the tasty breakfast… Hernando and Esperanza were shoveling food into their mouths.
”Did it suit your taste?”
”It’s delicious. The flavor is refined, yet it’s still a down-to-earth home-cooked meal.”
”As expected of the clan leader, you really get it.”
Across from me, a beautiful silver-haired girl sitting next to Kazumi spoke to me.
Rena, was it?
When I heard this young girl was a ‘Rank S Magician,’ I couldn’t believe it at first, but then I remembered what Raiden had told me──she’s one of Raetia’s prodigies, the daughter of a healer.
”I get it too! I’ve never had food this good, even in the Royal Capital!”
Esperanza raised his voice, as if trying to impress Rena.
…A beauty like her must be irresistible to him.
”I’d love to eat food this delicious every day!”
And Hernando was trying to appeal to Hanna.

Earlier, he’d been down after seeing Hanna feeding her daughter, but hearing she was a widow visibly lifted his spirits.
”…At least try to calm down and eat properly…”
I quietly scolded the two of them before taking another bite of the delicious meal.

(The food was amazing, but the scene at the table was even better.)
I’d heard most of the people living in this mansion were out on work or patrol, but now, everyone present was gathered around the table, sharing a meal together.
Even the maids.
Kazumi, Rena, head of the merchant guild, Sasha, and the guard Shinobu.
Asuka, Gorge, and Ariane, who was said to be his second wife, were smiling as they fed their children, Kaoru and Craig.
Hanna, along with 3 maidens, and a girl named Sandra were playfully offering spoons to Liselle, Hanna’s daughter, saying, “Here you go!” It was heartwarming to watch.
Noriss and his wife Lotta, who was also the clan’s magician, were enjoying their meal together in harmony.
(They get along well. ──No, this bond is more like ‘family.’ Yes, they’re connected by the ties of family.)
A gathering of adventurers and the mansion’s servants.
This wasn’t some shallow connection.
It felt much deeper than that.
(It reminds me of something… our own clan.)
When I glanced at Hernando and Esperanza, they, like me, were watching the heartwarming scene of the clan ‘Famière’ at the dining table with smiles.
(Shinji’s son Hiroya… he must be at the center of all this, right?)
I found myself growing more and more eager to meet this Hiroya.

”Toldo Freeberry!? You mean the legendary blacksmith, the best in the kingdom!?”
”To me, he’s just a pervy old man. But yeah, his skills live up to the rumors.”
At the ‘Grand Market,’ when we asked for a recommended shop, Kazumi told us that Toldo Freeberry, the kingdom’s most renowned blacksmith, had a shop here in Raetia. Esperanza couldn’t hide her surprise.
”Toldo’s weapons and armor, huh? I’d love to see them. No, I want to get my hands on them.”
Hernando’s eyes were shining with excitement too.
”I’ve only heard his name. Is he really that good?”
When I asked that, the two of them looked at me like,
──”What’s this guy even saying?”
Then they turns their attention to this.
”Toldo’s amazing, but his 3 granddaughters are pretty skilled too, you know?”
”Yeah. I really like this chainmail and the armor for my arms and legs.”
Asuka continues Kazumi’s words and shows off the armor she’s wearing.
Certainly, the moving parts are so finely crafted that it doesn’t seem like it will hinder movement.
Moreover, it seems the builder had a good understanding of the damaged areas, and the design appears to be very efficient.
”Lady Gargantua, let’s go! “
”Three dwarf sisters… intriguing”
Hernando is probably just after the weapons…
”Esperanza…you’re no good”
”What!?”

”I’ll be giving a presentation to the merchants at the restaurant until lunchtime… but I’d be happy if you could come back at lunchtime~desuwa”
”Yes. Hiroya and the other clan members who are at work will be coming back soon.”
”Yeah. Let’s have lunch together.”
Head of the merchant guild, Sasha, Rena, Kazumi says so, so I’ll take advantage of their kindness.
”Thank you. I’m off to the blacksmith’s, but I’ll come back in the afternoon. Thank you.”
Hernando, Esperanza, and I bowed to everyone and left the mansion.
