”By the way, Violet. I am not being swayed by Hiroya’s charm, you know?”
Purple Flame the Demon Princess──Holding the tea that Violet brewed, Lady Lilith spoke.
”I understand that the current Lady Lilith can maintain her power thanks to that magical power and… well, her vitality…”
Violet shrugged and took a seat, placing tea in front of me.
”What does that mean?”
After sipping her tea, Lady Lilith answered my question.
It seems that by dedicating part of that power to the katana named Yamikirimaru, which was offered to the ‘Welnia Labyrinth’, she was able to manifest in the outside world like this.
”Well, all of this is thanks to Hiroya, the wielder of Yamikirimaru, and his boundless magical power and vitality.”
She has regained enough power to materialize like this by feeding on the magical power and vitality supplied by him.
”It’s a relationship of ‘mutual support’ with my lord. We are bound together in life and death. In a sense, I must be more closely connected than Kazumi, my lord’s fiancée, or any of my lord’s lovers.”
For some reason, Lady Lilith puffed out her chest a bit.

”Freyja… isn’t she Lady Lilith’s arch-enemy!?”
I was surprised by the name spoken by Violet.

It seems there were indeed disputes among the followers, but Lady Lilith and Frejya kept them in check.

My curiosity grew as I listened to Lady Lilith and Violet.
If so, why is he trying to free Lady Lilith now?
”According to the current ruling goddess and her father god, Azradelius is an apostle of the ‘Supreme God,’ sent to bring chaos and conflict to various worlds.”
”His actions during the ancient civilization era in this world seem to have raised suspicions among the ruling gods. Megumi was sent to stop the Supreme God’s reckless actions by assisting heroes who could stand against Azradelius across multiple worlds.”
Listening to Lady Lilith and Violet, I recalled the image of the lively female fighter with her powerful swordplay.

”So, was it the will of this so-called Supreme God that sealed you both in the past and is now trying to free you?”
Lady Lilith and Violet nodded simultaneously, confirming my suspicion.
”Well, I can’t grasp what intentions are at play there. So first, I will release my sister goddess, Freyja, listen to her reasoning, and see how the supreme god reacts.”
Lady Lilith no longer had a gentle smile on her face; instead, a harsh and cloudy expression was present.
”I do not wish to reign as a goddess any longer; I only want to live peacefully and happily. However, it is also important to reward those who have admired and respected me, like you and Violet.”
”You… you don’t have to worry about that. Just live as you wish, Lady Lilith.”
”That applies to you too, Gargantua.”
Once again, Lady Lilith gave me a gentle smile.
”You must also follow the path you want to take. ──Whether it is beneficial for me or not, it does not matter.”
”That’s right, Gargantua. I am still troubled, too. That is why I am here, sharing power with Azradelius and Hiroya.”

Following Lady Lilith and Violet downstairs, I saw the backyard through the open dining hall door, where Hernando and Esperanza were dejectedly slumped.

”Gargantua, your servant seemed like a decent fighter… but as expected, they cannot match Hiroya.”
Lady Lilith and Violet laughed as they headed toward the backyard.
”L-Lady Gargantua…”
”I… I am filled with regret…”
The two crouched at my feet, but they are among the top warriors in ‘Balthoga.’
Two swordsmen with rank B skills were no match for Hiroya’s prowess, and I couldn’t help but be impressed.
”How about it? You too?”
Lady Lilith hands me the Bokken sword she picked up.
”Don’t underestimate him, Gargantua. He has the skill to defeat that ‘Demon Dragon, Goliath’.”
”Oh, really…”
Hearing from Violet that that arrogant man was defeated makes me smile.
(Checking Hiroya’s skills is one of my goals this time…)
”Lord Hiroya, I will take revenge for my servants.”
I take the Bokken sword and walk towards Hiroya, who stands in the center of the backyard.
”So, I’m up against Ms. Gargantua… I guess I have to get serious…”
”Of course. I will also fight seriously.”
I raise the Bokken sword high and freeze in place.
”──!”
Seeing me, Hiroya seems to drop his low stance, likely from Iaido.
”You’re serious… I understand.”
As Hiroya mutters this, he transforms into a young man.
”This is strange──”
”I said he is a reincarnator, right? That is another form of him.”
Violet speaks from behind me.
I see…

Saying this, the young man (Hiroya) kicks the ground and leaps at me.

With my maximum sword speed, I swing the Bokken sword down on Hiroya’s head.

From a low stance, he raises his Bokken sword from his waist to block my strike.
”As expected── it’s heavy.”
Hiroya looks up at me with a grin.
That fearless smile shakes my heart.

Perhaps my ‘fighting spirit’ senses his ‘strength’ and trembles with joy.
”Not yet!”
I smile back at Hiroya and kick the ground with all my might.
