(Hanna’s POV)
(I… got a bit too excited…)
Shopping with Mr. Hiroya was so much fun… I ended up asking him to deliver to the Clan house as usual.
”…You couldn’t get the rice delivered either?”
”Ah…”
Ms. Carla and I froze for a moment.
I had invited Mr. Hiroya under the pretense of ‘going to pick up the rice that Ms. Carla ordered.’
Of course, when Ms. Carla ordered ‘a large amount of rice’ from the dwarf merchant who came from Bash, she was offered delivery as well… but she politely declined, saying, “I’ll come pick it up.”
Mr. Hiroya’s words left both Ms. Carla and me speechless.

On our way back after finishing shopping, Ms. Carla and I sat on either side of Mr. Hiroya on the driver’s seat, staring at my left pinky.

Ms. Carla spoke to Mr. Hiroya, her voice trembling.
Her cheeks were flushed…
”Yeah. I prepared it as a ‘Grand Market date’ commemorative gift.”
”Mr. Hiroya… giving a ring to a woman, no matter which finger…”
He said it so casually that I wondered if ‘giving a ring’ meant something light to Mr. Hiroya.
Thinking that, I spoke to him in a strong tone.
”…Of course, I gave it as a present because I like her.”
”But ‘date commemorative’ and──”
”If Ms. Hanna hadn’t invited me… I was planning to invite you two myself. ──Ms. Sasha and Shinobu seemed too busy to join.”
Hearing our conversation, Ms. Carla’s eyes glistened.
I also felt tears welling up as I continued to gaze at Mr. Hiroya…
”Once everything settles down… I’ll give you a proper ring.”
Mr. Hiroya stared ahead with a serious expression.
”That said, I also gave a present to Gunilla, so it might not feel that special… Oh, I haven’t given one to Romy yet.”
”I’m disappointed!”
Ms. Carla and I puffed our cheeks and confronted Mr. Hiroya in the same way.
Mr. Hiroya shrugged his shoulders apologetically.

We leaned against Mr. Hiroya from both sides, surrendering ourselves to the happy sway of the carriage.
When the driver of a passing carriage whistled at us playfully, Mr. Hiroya blushed bashfully.

(Finally arrived in Raetia…)
I was desperately pushing my research forward to make it in time for the ‘Grand Market.’ I absolutely wanted to meet the leader of the Zett Merchant Guild.
(And… the genius who developed ‘this’…)
I give my backpack on my lap a pat.
(I want them to see the ‘thing’ I developed. The ‘Grand Market’ is a chance for a presentation…!)
However, the carriage entered Raetia just as dusk was falling.
And today is the last day of the ‘Grand Market.’
I wonder if I can manage to meet them at such a late hour without an appointment.
