In the afternoon, there was a visitor at the Clan house.
The wolf maids hadn’t returned from school yet, and Ms. Hanna, along with Ms. Carla who had been at the Clan house since morning, were cleaning up after lunch.
Ms. Ariane and Lotta were watching Liselle, Kaoru, and Craig, so I, who had free hands, went to the entrance…
”Yup♡ Is Gargantua here~?”
”Principal M…Milia!?”
There, Principal Milia stood with a smile, wearing a backpack.
”Oh, Hiroya”
”Gargantua is at the guild from the afternoon on…”
Principal Milia walked past me, responding, and entered the mansion.
”I see. ──She should make sure to find the Thief…”
Come to think of it, Gargantua mentioned inviting Principal Milia as an exploration member.
”Alright then! ──And, are you guys heading to the Great Labyrinth tomorrow?”

”Yes. Our Liz class is scheduled to start from the Safety Zone on the 19th floor tomorrow.”
I took out a chilled glass and a bottle of honey lemon from the refrigerator and placed them on the table.
”Thank you. ──I see… I wish I could go to the deeper floors… I want to go too…”
”No, but I heard from Gargantua that you’re going too, Principal Milia, to the Great Labyrinth”
”Yeah. I’m going, but…”
She took a sip of the honey lemon poured into the glass and sighed.
”Gargantua is… not too serious, right? That’s why they’re challenging the First Floor”
”If she’s with Principal Milia… it probably won’t be a problem even if we go to the same floor as them.”
I imagined the glamorous duo’s exploits, and I couldn’t help but smirk.

”Speaking of which…I can’t believe you’re really going to dive into the Great Labyrinth with Gargantua…”
Simona approached the dining table with a look of disbelief.
”It’s just a trial. For now, our goal is to reach Van and Barbara.”
Principal Milia muttered, sounding bored.

(Where will they take me…?)
Riding behind Ms. Gargantua, I matched my horse with Mr. Hernando and Mr. Esperanza as we progressed.
(They said they would introduce me to the Party members at the estate that’s been taking care of me.)
What came into view was the outskirts of Raetia’s southern residential area.
It seemed to be a place where the 3 major clan mansions are lined up.
Indeed, there were several large mansions, and the horse stopped in front of the biggest one.

The dining hall of the Famière clan’s mansion.
Crouching at the corner of the table before me are the clan leader, ‘Bullseye Archer’ Ms. Liz, ‘Beautiful Maiden of the Iron Claw’ Ms. Dorothy, former Rose Hip captain ‘Berserker’ Ms. Simona, and ‘swift’ Mr. Hiroya, along with our Thief idol, the ‘Genius Thief’ Ms. Martina.
With people in front of me whose titles I recognize, I can’t help but feel completely out of place.
”You are the Thief who will dive into the Great Labyrinth with us, I see…”
”I-I’m Mira Degener!”
The one asking me is that ‘Sage,’ Lady Milia.
The hero who defeated the Demon King as the brains of the Hero Party is right in front of me.

As I stammered a reply to Lady Milia’s words, I noticed Ms. Martina had quietly appeared next to me.

”Don’t be so tense. ──The GarGar crew is going to challenge from the First Floor, so each time you descend, MirMir will grow.”
Ms. Martina said that, and gently patted my shoulder.
”That’s right. By the time you challenge the deeper floors, you’ll be a fine Thief, rivaling Gargantua and Lady Milia.”
Ms. Liz said, encouraging me.
”Well, I understand you might feel intimidated. Still, you just have to do your job.”
Ms. Simona chuckled.
──Indeed, that’s true.
I have to do what I can.
At that moment, someone pulled at the hem of my clothes from behind, so I turned around and saw a catfolk girl looking up at me.
”Maya too, Party member-meow. As a Porter, I’ll do my best-meow…”
Looking at the catfolk girl, Maya, who introduced herself with a cute smile, I also made up my mind.
”Ah, let me introduce myself again──I’m Mira Degener. A rank D Thief. I’m not good at fighting, but I’m good at lockpicking and Detection. I’m still inexperienced, but…as a Thief, I want to fulfill my duties in Ms. Gargantua’s Party.”
I stood up and bowed my head.
”Yeah, do your best. If you could just relax a little, I think you could do a great job.”
Mr. Hiroya said that, encouraging me.
And everyone welcomed me with applause.
(This is where my real adventure begins. With formidable figures like Ms. Gargantua and Lady Milia. I’ve never been so lucky…)
”Well, let’s start exploring the Great Labyrinth tomorrow. ──Milia, Maya, Hernando, Esperanza, and…”
Ms. Gargantua, who stood up, extended her hand towards me.
”Mira… I’ll count on you.”
Unlike at the guild, this time I shook the hand offered to me.

”Alright, let’s get started with the meeting. ──Liz, are we borrowing the open space on the third floor?”
I was led out of the cafeteria by Ms. Gargantua.
