”It looks like the dungeon master is Azradelius… so we should probably take Koichi off the forest exploration mission soon.”
”But if we suddenly tell him, he won’t agree, right?”
Ugh, this is really annoying. I told Hiroya to conquer the dungeon, but I want Koichi to step back now.
Megumi knows very well how dangerous it is for Koichi to explore around the dungeon.
”Van coming over is also related to this… he’s worried about it too.”
”When Van arrives, should we give him a mission to escort us back to the capital?”
Megumi claps her hands.

Well, Dorothy did say something like, “I’ll give my all to Mr. Hiroya” before.
”…You don’t get it… Even if Hiroya isn’t interested, those girls are totally into him. I wonder who he takes after to be so popular?”

”Alright, we’re moving today!”
In the afternoon at the inn, Kazumi stands tall and points dramatically.
”…It’s not like the house is finished, so we’re just moving to a different room in the inn.”
So, I don’t think there’s a need to be so excited.
”Moving itself isn’t the problem. The big issue is… the room assignments!”

At Kazumi’s words, the other girls, except for Hannah, all react.
”The new place has 2 rooms for 4 people each. Including Hannah, there are 7 of us. We have to split into 4 and 3.”
”Okay… it’s a competition now…”
”…How are we going to decide?”
”Rena… won’t lose…”
”I won’t lose no matter what it takes…”
The room is filled with tension…

”First, we’ll split into groups of 3, including Hannah. Then… we’ll compete for Hiroya!”
”Huh? We’re competing over me?”

The 5 beautiful sisters all glare at me.
”Let’s use bows! A bow competition!”

Liz and Dorothy stand up.
”Let’s do magic! A magic competition!”
”I want to do magic too!”
Kazumi and Rena link arms and stand up.
”A contest to see who loves Big Brother Hiroya the most!”
Martina also raises her voice.

Liz and Dorothy, Kazumi and Rena all blush and sit back down.
”…Martina, that’s a bit embarrassing…”
Kazumi whispers. Suddenly, Martina turns bright red and freezes.
”Okay, let’s not have a dangerous competition, alright? How about we start with the group assignments?”
In times like this, I really feel powerless. All I can do is calm everyone down.
”Yeah… let’s start with the group assignments…”
Kazumi’s shy expression suddenly turns serious.
”Um…”
In a tense moment, Hannah raises her hand hesitantly.
”How about we use one room as a living room and kitchen, and the other room as a bedroom?”
””””””That’s it!””””””
Including me, the 5 sisters point at Hannah excitedly.

”Okay, should we move the beds? There are 4 in the room, so we need to keep one for Hannah and make it a separate room.”
After moving the stuff to the new room, Kazumi heads to one of the two bedrooms.
”Let’s just move one to the next bedroom and stick it there.”
”If we line up 3 beds, all 6 of us can sleep, right?”
”No way, I think it’ll be too cramped.”
Ignoring my comment, Liz and Martina carry the bed. Well, if we want to sleep comfortably, we can just use the living room bedroom.
Anyway, I’m glad it didn’t turn into a big mess. Great suggestion, Ms. Hannah.

”I can’t believe I forgot to register Dorothy as an adventurer…”
”I did register in the capital, so… I guess it’s just a transfer process.”
After moving rooms, the 4 of us──me, Kazumi, Rena, and Dorothy──head to the guild while Ms. Hannah prepares dinner. Liz and Martina are helping her out.
”I also need to cash this in.”
I take out a big chunk of miasma from my belt pouch.
”Wow, that’s huge… Isn’t it bigger than the one from the incubus?”
Kazumi stares at it closely.
”That’s because a hellhound is a level B monster.”
Ms. Rena, we couldn’t have defeated it without you.

When we arrive and open the guild door…
”Hey! Hiro and the others are here!”
”I heard from Miyori that you guys would come tonight for the exploration report.”
”Good thing we waited!”
The 3 dwarf sisters──Aluda, Eluda, and Meluda──wave at us from the counter.
”Good evening! …What’s up?”
Kazumi and Rena rush over to the 3 sisters.
”Hehehe.”
The 3 sisters hold up their adventurer cards together.
”Wow! All 3 of you are rank D! Just like me!”
”How about that! Now you can finally take us along, right?”
Meluda smiles brightly.
”But next time it’s a dungeon, so I’m a bit worried… If something happens to everyone, I won’t be able to face Mr. Toldo…”
I said honestly. After all, it’s a dungeon. It’s totally different from the ‘outdoor’ explorations and battles we’ve done before.
”What are you talking about? Aluda and the others are dwarves, right? They shine in closed spaces like caves!”
Aluda glares at me, looking angry.
”Mr. Hiroya, dwarves are reliable. Especially since they’re all top-notch blacksmiths, I think exploring the dungeon will go really well!”
Dorothy, who’s getting her transfer processed by Miyori, smiles.
”””That’s right!”””
The 3 sisters puff out their chests proudly.
”Okay, we’re leaving the day after tomorrow, so decide who’s coming.”
I was pushed into it. I might actually be a bit like my dad in this way.
”Alright!”
Aluda pumps her fist in the air.
”Then I’ll come pick you up the morning of the day after tomorrow, before we head to the dungeon. I’ll probably need to bring some stuff…”
”Don’t worry! I’ve learned all about adventuring from my grandpa!”
Eluda winks.
”See you the day after tomorrow!”
With that, the 3 sisters leave the guild.

”Ms. Dorothy, you’ve moved up to adventurer rank C! Congratulations!”
Miyori checks with that crystal ball I saw in the capital.
”Oh, right. Ms. Miyori, here.”
I take the miasma chunk out of my pouch and place it on the counter.
As I hand Dorothy her updated adventurer card, I see Miyori freeze at the sight of the miasma chunk.
”Hiroya… what is this huge chunk of miasma…?”
Miyori’s voice shakes. I guess it’s not something you see every day here.
”It’s from a hellhound.”
”Hell…! Wait, Master! Just a moment!”
She runs to the back of the counter.
”Hellhound… what kind of monster did you guys face…?”
The guild master comes out from the back room, looking shocked.
”Looks like it was summoned by the dungeon master. Maybe it was guarding a different entrance to the dungeon we found?”
”Summoned, huh… That makes sense. Even if a dungeon burst happened, a monster like that wouldn’t just appear naturally.”
The guild master crosses his arms.
”Four gold coins… no, 5.”
”No way! That’s more than 2 high-level incubbi!”
Kazumi exclaims in surprise.
”With a monster like this around, the bounty would be at least ten gold coins. Normally, the guild would offer a bounty of 5 gold coins or more for a monster like this.”
”Is this miasma blob really worth 5 gold coins?”
Kazumi looks at the blob with curiosity.
”The miasma blob can be purified magically, turning it into a chunk of magical power. You can use it for research or to power magic tools.”
Rena explains.
”Right. Plus, it can recharge its magical power later, so you can use it over and over. Since it’s so big, it has a lot of capacity, making it really valuable.”
”…It’s kind of like a rechargeable battery…”
Kazumi whispers to me quietly.
”Yeah, it really is useful.”
”…If we want to make adult magic tools, we need to get a smaller miasma blob…”
Ms. Kazumi is seriously thinking about adult items.
”Anyway, good job. Thanks to you guys, the threat in the forest is lower, and now the younger ones can finally work. I appreciate it.”
With that, 5 gold coins are placed on the counter.
”Yes! Next, we’ll do our best to conquer the dungeon!”
Kazumi takes the gold coins.
”…You guys are really something else.”
Miyori mutters.
”But that’s great! Garm will be coming back here, right?”
Rena says with a grin, looking at Miyori.
”I-I don’t care about that! Ugh, another daily struggle with him is starting again. I don’t want that.”
Miyori says, turning away with a red face. Yeah, it’s pretty obvious.
”Sigh… Tsundere is precious…”
Well, it’s just giving Rena her favorite thing.
”Okay, let’s head back to the inn. I’m looking forward to Hannah’s cooking.”
Dorothy claps her hands.
”Yeah! See you later, Guild Master and Miyori!”
”Ah. Rest well tomorrow, and good luck with the dungeon starting the day after!” The Guild Master waves, and Miyori bows.
We leave the guild, looking forward to Hannah’s dinner.
Well, it was a tense moment, but thanks to Hannah’s quick thinking, we managed to avoid trouble.
