Chapter 105 Unlocking the Backdoor꞉ Harvest’s Grand Opening
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
It had been a few days since I’d become rather well-acquainted with Aerith-jou of the ¹Garou Merchant Guild, found myself struggling with the supply of Samon Mushrooms², and finally committed to attending that upcoming social gathering. Today, at long last, was the grand launch of our new line of ‘rear-end’ products.
While the usual business anxieties and headaches were as persistent as ever, this time, wonder of wonders, we were actually proceeding without being branded as heretics or having our inventory seized as military secrets. My standards for what constitutes a ‘good day’ have become quite warped, but truly, it felt like a small miracle.
I really ought to thank everyone who helped with the rather rigorous testing and preparation. I’ll have to think of a proper reward for them later, but for now, the shop simply had to open.
Normally, my customers tend to slink in with hoods pulled low, but today they had formed a proper, expectant queue right in front of the door. To think that every single one of them was standing there with the express intent of exploring their own backdoor… it was a positively captivating sight, enough to make me want to study each of their lovely faces and figures in detail.
Strictly speaking, I had only hinted to the clientele that ‘something new is coming.’ However, I hadn’t exactly sworn anyone to secrecy, so word seemed to have travelled fast. They already knew exactly what was hitting the shelves.
Standing in line, they were practically buzzing with curiosity about these new horizons of pleasure, engaging in quite the lively, scandalous chatter with their fellow enthusiasts. I couldn’t very well keep them waiting any longer, not while they were shifting restlessly and discreetly adjusting their skirts.
Very well then. The magic shop Harvest³ is now open!
”Oh! One ‘Slime-kun Who Dwells in a Woman’s Arse’⁴, please! And the S-size ‘Fourteen-Star Ans Beads’⁵, and a beginner’s set of ‘Morning Dew of the Chrysanthemum’⁶!”
”Heh heh! Much obliged!” I chirped.
The first customer had practically burst through the door, shouting her order before her feet had even settled. I remembered her; she was the one who had been dreadfully regretful back when the Tremble-Ddo-Buddy⁷ was pulled from the shelves.
She had planned to get used to the standard Ddo-Buddy⁸ first and wait for her next paycheck, but then… poof. It was gone. There is nothing quite so stressful as being unable to buy the very thing you desire most.
When we eventually restocked, she had been at the very front of the line, literally nuzzling the device with joy. Now, she was looking at the bottled ‘Slime-kun’ and squealing about how ‘cute’ it was.
I felt a powerful urge to point out the absurdity of calling a specialized slime ‘cute,’ but I also just wanted to bask in the sheer enthusiasm of it all. Besides, there were plenty of others waiting. The next customer was far more cautious, eyeing the display with a look of profound skepticism.
”There seem to be quite a few gradual steps here,” she noted. “Do I… do I really have to buy all of them?”
”It’s not that you have to,” I explained, “but if you don’t, you’ll have to do the preparation manually. If you try to force something large in without the proper groundwork, you’re looking at a very painful tear.”
There’s always one, isn’t there? Still, I’d much rather they ask than have them cause a disaster on their own. I went into quite some descriptive detail about the sheer indignity of having to apply healing potions to a torn rear, and her face went a rather impressive shade of pale as she nodded in understanding.
Those listening behind her in the queue looked equally ashen. They were terrified, yet none of them moved to leave. Truly, they were either incredibly brave or absolute monsters of curiosity and desire.
”Eek…! I see. I’ll start slowly with the beginner’s set then…” she stammered. “Oh, and this ‘Rear-Use Ddo-Buddy’… it looks almost exactly like the regular one, doesn’t it?”
”Notice the stopper?” I pointed out. “You could use a regular one, but if it gets lost inside, this shop won’t take responsibility. With the lotion and the slime’s fluids making everything so slick, it’ll slide right in. And the more you try to grab it, the further up it goes. Unless you want to spend your afternoon presenting your bare backside to a doctor while they reach in to retrieve it, I’d suggest sticking to the specialized model.”
”Eeeeeeek!” a chorus of women shrieked, hands instinctively flying to cover their rears.
I realized I might have overshot the warning slightly, so I quickly added that as long as they followed the instructions, they would be perfectly fine. This ensured they listened to the rest of my lecture with rapt, scholarly attention.
Ultimately, even the skeptic bought the beginner’s set. Next in line was…
”I’ll take everything! Three of each! One for use, one for storage, and one for display! I’ll be back later to buy more for… missionary work!”
”O-oh… I appreciate the patronage, truly,” I said, blinking. “But ‘Slime-kun’ will wither away if you don’t feed him, you know? And… for display?”
This customer was a true veteran. She wasn’t a noble or a wealthy merchant, yet she owned every single item our shop had ever produced. I remembered her first visit; she’d been heartbroken after a breakup, and Lily and I had spent quite some time cheering her up.
Her boyfriend had apparently called her ‘loose,’ which had devastated her. We’d helped her realize that the fault lay with his lack of size rather than her, and I’d prescribed a potion to help with tightening.
Ever since then, she’d become a total devotee, claiming the shop was her only salvation. Apparently, she funded these shopping sprees by being incredibly frugal with her meals. I felt a bit sorry for her, so I made sure to give her a quiet thirty-percent discount.
As the enthusiast skipped away happily, the shop became a whirlwind of activity. I couldn’t keep up with the explanations and sales on my own, so I drafted Lily, our resident experiment slave, and Tania, the elven adventurer, to help with the ‘counseling’ and sales.
”Um… I tried something like this with my partner once, and it was a disaster,” a woman whispered to Lily. “He wants to try again, but I’m just so scared…”
”It will be quite alright,” Lily replied gently. “If you both read this ‘Rear-End Development Handbook’ carefully, anyone can do it easily. Do make sure your partner reads it thoroughly as well.”

Lily was doing a marvelous job, handing out the handbook alongside a few restorative potions. Come to think of it, the handbook was supposed to be a purchase bonus, but perhaps it was better to let them read it while they waited.
I ducked out during a brief lull to distribute the booklets to the queue outside. Seeing a row of women huddled over a manual on backdoor exploration was a sight that truly made me feel my work here was worthwhile.
”Honestly, how is this even supposed to work?” someone asked Tania. “I can’t imagine the rear feeling better than the front…”
”That is a pleasure you can only truly understand once you’ve done the work,” Tania said, her voice carrying the weight of personal experience. “For reference, a properly developed rear can rival anything else. Especially when you combine it with the front, or even the Uterine Massager⁹ for a three-point focus… that’s a level of bliss only the successful can know.”
Tania, who had once been ‘saved’ by Lily’s counseling, had now fully transitioned into the role of a savior herself.
She was already being worshipped by some as ‘Tania-sama,’ much like Lily. I do worry slightly about her historical legacy, though. A legendary adventurer and the founder of magic in the Canaria Kingdom¹⁰… who, in reality, was an apostle of adult magical tools. Quite the twist.
Despite being products for the more ‘experienced’ user, the new line was flying off the shelves. The demand far exceeded my wildest predictions, to the point where I had to pull Laika, the dog-beastman, and Sister Amelia away from their usual tasks to help.
”My heat cycles are so heavy, and it’s so hard on my partner every month…” a beastman customer confessed. “If I develop the back, do you think it would help ease his burden?”
”Hmm, it depends on how you use it,” Laika mused. “In my case, focusing only on the back just makes my womb ache even more, so I have him work on both at once. Just tell your partner to be careful not to get too excited and rush things without plenty of prep!”
Laika was perfect for handling the beastman clientele. Since heat cycles vary so much, the counseling can be tricky, but she handled it with ease. After all, she loves that double-ended attention herself.
Customers found it much easier to talk to one of their own kind, and a steady line formed in front of Laika. Every staff member had their own dedicated following; it felt less like a shop and more like a high-end meet-and-greet event.
As for me? Well, I had a line too… sort of. Aside from those just wanting to get through quickly, I had my regulars and, for some reason, a few customers who specifically requested a bit of ‘verbal harassment’ before they bought anything.
One of them told me that she and her partner had a specific roleplay dynamic. She planned to go home and report exactly what I’d said to her. Honestly, the depths of human nature never cease to amaze me.
”U-um, I want to keep my front side pure for my future husband,” a young woman whispered to Amelia. “If I develop the back… he won’t be able to tell, will he?”
”That is a very pious thought,” Amelia replied with a serene smile. “It will be fine. As long as you use our specialized medicated lotions, nothing will show unless someone looks very closely. Even Sisters who have undergone… extremely rigorous training… have been restored to a state as good as new.”
I’d heard reports about the ‘collapsed’ rears of certain Sisters, but listening to Amelia talk made me realize just how strange this religion of hers really is.
Also, the fact that there were so many other Sisters in Amelia’s line was a bit concerning. They didn’t seem to know her personally; in fact, many were clearly meeting her for the first time.
From the snippets of conversation I caught, they were calling this a ‘pilgrimage’ from distant towns. I suspect they’re treating this shop the same way fans visit the filming locations of famous movies or anime.
With the shop in such an uproar, the only one left in the production department was Satsuki, the court mage. We took turns helping her when we could, but for the most part, she was left to work in solitary silence.
”Not being able to talk while I work is so exhausting…” Satsuki sighed during a brief break. “And the way the stock is disappearing is frankly terrifying. I’m dreading the next production run.”
”Hang in there,” I said, offering a sympathetic smile. “The only reason it’s so hectic is the counseling taking up time. In terms of raw numbers, the rush for the Tremble-Ddo-Buddy was much worse.”
”I… I suppose that’s true,” she admitted.
I remembered those days. We didn’t have Satsuki or Amelia back then, and poor Tania was practically covered in soot while Laika was so tired she started talking to imaginary fairies. It was a nightmare.
”Anyway, I’m planning on giving everyone a special bonus for this,” I said. “Is there anything in particular you’d like, Satsuki?”
”Eh? Isn’t it a bit early for that?” she asked, looking surprised. “I’ll take whatever you’re giving, but we have to survive this rush first.”
”Well, a reward helps keep morale up. Tell you what, how about a special ‘Rear-End’ gift set?”
”Wh-what?!” she stammered, her face flushing crimson. “I would never use something like that!”
”Eh? No, I meant for the Royal Palace’s archives,” I clarified. “You said before that you keep our products there for research purposes, right?”
”A-ah, right. Of course. That’s what you meant…!”
She looked like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole. Hmm. I wonder… could she actually be interested in a bit of ‘development’ herself? I decided she was definitely getting that gift set regardless. With that settled, I finished my break and headed back into the battlefield of the storefront.

Summary:
Harvest launches its highly anticipated ‘rear-end’ product line without any official interference. The shop is immediately swamped by a diverse crowd of eager customers, leading the protagonist to mobilize his entire staff for counseling. Experienced customers and newcomers alike seek advice on safe ‘development’ and specialized equipment. Amidst the chaos, the staff provides surprisingly professional sexual health guidance. The chapter concludes with the protagonist offering Satsuki a special product set, much to her flustered embarrassment.
—
Character Insight:
The protagonist shows a surprising level of responsibility, moving beyond mere sales to provide safety warnings and ‘handbooks’ to prevent injury. We also see the growth of the supporting cast; characters like Tania and Laika have evolved from being mere ‘test subjects’ to confident consultants who help others navigate their desires. Satsuki’s reaction at the end hints at her own suppressed curiosity, highlighting the shop’s influence even on the more ‘strait-laced’ characters.
—
Behind the Scene:
The ‘Slime-kun’ mentioned is a recurring motif in the series, representing the author’s blend of RPG monster tropes with adult content. The mention of ‘pilgrimages’ by Sisters likely parodies the real-world ‘Otaku’ culture of visiting sacred sites related to their interests.
