Chapter 11 The Divine Bow and Fierce Dog Adventurers’ Dirty Secret Hunt
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
The timeline rewinds a bit, back to right after Kento submitted his special request at the Adventurers’ Guild. The incredibly skilled adventurer, Tania of the Divine Bow, immediately started the hunt for Pororo Snail shells. Her first step, just as she’d been advised, was to form a proper party.
”So, what you’re tellin’ me, Tania-neesan, is you ended up right back here with me, huh?” Lyca, a dog beastkin who looked up to the elf and called her ‘Sister,’ teased.
Tania had actually planned to find some fresh party members for the first time in ages. She’d even bothered showing her face at the Guild—a place she rarely went because the ruffians got on her nerves—with the goal of returning to her roots and taking on a proper, honest adventurer’s quest.
But that’s when she’d run into Kento and heard about his new request for the shop. At that moment, skipping his quest wasn’t an option. Her chest was throbbing—no, more accurately, her womb was aching—with anticipation for the new item he was offering, something that promised to deliver a whole new level of pleasure.
”Th-There was nothing else for it, you hear!? I was truly planning to find a new party! But if I’m goin’ to tackle that shop’s request, I can’t exactly let a man into the party, can I?” Tania argued, her composure already cracking.
It was true. Thanks to Kento’s quick thinking, she’d managed to keep her regular customer status a secret, but if she simply looked for a normal party, her obvious obsession with that particular quest might give her away.
She hadn’t realized that the far more dishonorable rumor—that she was regularly shamed by Kento—had already spread. Since she kept her circle of adventurer acquaintances small, she was blissfully unaware of that fact for the time being.
”Well, I don’t mind, I guess. Are we goin’ as a duo, though? I’m the vanguard and you’re the rearguard. It’s balanced, sure, but…” Lyca pondered, her tail giving a nervous little twitch.
”Yeah. Bringing more folks is risky, and besides, I… I don’t exactly want to blab about the right to get the new product first,” Tania muttered, her voice dropping to a near-whisper.
Just when she’d finally remembered the path back to being a respectable person, the anticipation of the new product and her sweet memories with the “Drill Ddo-Buddy” had completely dyed Tania’s mind pink again. Lyca just sighed, wondering if her sister’s state wasn’t worse than before her last lecture.
”Haaaah…” Lyca exhaled, the sound a soft, weary gust of air.
”Wh-What is it? I’ll even put in a good word for the new product to you, too! So that’s good, right? It’s what you’d call a Win-Win relationship,” Tania proposed, trying to sound confident.
”It ain’t about that… Whatever. If I can just keep an eye on you, I’ll bring you back to normal while we’re out here, Sister!” Lyca declared, her canine resolve showing.
”Oh, um…? I don’t really follow, but it’s good that you’re motivated, I suppose…?” Tania replied, confused but pleased.
And so, the two adventurers, each with her own secret agenda, headed out to hunt Pororo Snails.
* * *
The Pororo Snail habitat was in a forest quite close to the Royal Capital. Most of the dangerous monsters had been cleared out, but the snails favored dark, damp places—specifically, the deep, dense heart of the overgrown woods. The forest itself wasn’t huge, making day trips possible, but getting into the deeper parts still required considerable skill.
For these two, however, that wasn’t a problem. On one side stood Tania of the Divine Bow, a veteran elven hunter who’d been adventuring since before the Guild was even founded. On the other was Lyca the Fierce Dog, a top-tier vanguard warrior whose beastkin physical abilities were honed to a razor edge. Both were elite adventurers, known by titles that most other adventurers could only dream of reaching.
”Man, it’s been ages since I’ve had to sneak into this forest. Used to be a real struggle, but now? We’re unbeatable, right, neesan?” Lyca chuckled.
”Don’t let your guard down, Lyca. No matter how much strength you gain, there’s no such thing as an absolute in a fight,” Tania warned, her voice grave. “You could be attacked by a pack of Shadow Wolves hiding out, or stumble upon a Giant Bear with a cub that just moved in. You have to anticipate danger everywhere. Adventurers are only as safe as the last person who became careless.”
”Yeah, yeah, I ain’t gonna take a lecture from the person who’s been careless enough to tackle reckless jobs all by herself!” Lyca shot back, eyes rolling dramatically.
”Ugh…! Th-That’s why I’m using this moment to remind myself of that! Stop grumbling and be alert!” Tania sputtered, deeply embarrassed.
”A’ight, I hear ya,” Lyca replied flippantly, yet instinctively started scanning her surroundings, sniffing the air with her dog’s nose and twitching her ears. But her tail was wagging happily behind her. She was thrilled that her role model, Tania of the Divine Bow, was back to being the strict, old-school adventurer she admired.
Their first meeting had happened right here, in this forest, when Tania rescued Lyca. Lyca had just left her hometown, started adventuring, and was beginning to feel a bit too confident when she ventured too deep alone. That’s when a stray Lesser Dragon appeared, nearly turning her into a charcoal briquette, until Tania saved her with an impeccable shot from her bow. It wasn’t long after that Lyca started following Tania around, and they eventually formed a party.
Whenever they worked together, Tania would always deliver a bossy, elder-sisterly lecture just like this, and Lyca simply loved it. Tania, for her part, didn’t mind being so adored. That was how their relationship was built.
Yet, how in the world did things go so wrong that both of them ended up as regulars at an adult magic shop…? Lyca knew it was her fault for carelessly mentioning the popular adult magic tools, but she never imagined Tania would get that addicted. People are not always what they seem, Lyca thought with another sigh.
”Wait, Lyca.”
It was then. Tania, moving ahead of Lyca, sensed something first and spoke up. In the forest, Tania boasted the most powerful detection ability, surpassing even the superior smell and hearing of a dog beastkin. She could pick up the faintest anomaly that even most elves would miss.
”Did you find something?” Lyca whispered.
”Yes, it appears to be our main target,” Tania confirmed.
As Tania spoke, Lyca twitched her nose, and now she, too, could sense their presence. If the smell had been more distinct, Lyca might have caught it first, but the Pororo Snail’s odor was hard to discern in the damp forest.
”Um, we can just kill them, right, neesan?” Lyca asked for clarification.
”The shopkeeper only asked for the shells. We don’t have porters, so let’s kill them, strip the shells off, and carry them back,” Tania instructed.
”Okay. I’m going in, so you deal with the ones that run away, yeah?” Lyca grinned.
”Leave it to me.”
They quickly confirmed their plan and moved out. Peering from behind a tree, they saw several Pororo Snails clustered together. This was a stroke of luck. Lyca signaled with her hand, circled around the back, and launched a silent, fierce attack on the target.
Normally, this type of enemy would be defeated by crushing its shell, but the shell was what they needed this time. Lyca swiftly jumped onto the Pororo Snail’s shell, drove both her legs into the neck(?) area, and used her hands to rip the shell clean off.

”—!!!!” Lyca’s target screamed a voiceless shriek, while the surrounding snails jolted in shock at their comrade’s sudden demise. There were no actual screams because Pororo Snails lacked vocal cords. Instead, their eyestalks and the repulsive, soft bodies undulated wildly.
Of course, the shell was filled with the snail’s guts, which were splattered out along with their greenish-blue blood. Lyca skillfully dodged the filth, tossed the empty shell aside, and grabbed her next victim.
”—!!!!” The horrific scene unfolded again. The shocked snails finally realized they were in danger. Large drops of viscous fluid overflowed from their faces. This was the origin of the Pororo Snail’s name—they looked like they were shedding a cascade of tears.
Since their eyes were on the tips of their tentacles, there were no actual eyes where the fluid was secreted, making the large drops of “tears” running down their featureless faces incredibly unsettling. Lyca, however, didn’t care, and she ripped off the third shell.
Meanwhile, Tania drew her bowstring taut and aimed. The endangered snails had started trying to flee, heading straight into the thicket where Tania was concealed. Lyca had intentionally circled around to drive them right toward her mentor.
”Shh…!”
With Tania’s shallow, short breath, the arrow was loosed. It perfectly pierced the snail’s brow-ridge(?), and the animal, as large as a big dog, crashed to the ground. Their tears, in fact, were meant to make sharp attacks slide right off. Against a beast like a wolf, its fangs and claws would slip, allowing the snail to escape.
But they were up against the wrong foe. No matter how the snail defended its body with slime, as long as its body had mass, there was a center point where force could not be deflected. Aiming for that tiny center, Tania’s arrow pierced the Pororo Snail’s brow-ridge, disregarding the physical barrier of the mucus.
”Shh…! Shh…!”
Perhaps she was even imbuing her arrows with magic, enough to pierce even mass-less foes. A Pororo Snail was no match for that. Tania fired arrow after arrow, piercing the snails’ brow-ridges and dropping them with single, instant kills.
”Heave-ho! Hup-two! Upsy-daisy!”
All the while, Lyca continued her brutal assault, ripping the shells off snail after snail. Since she could trust Tania to finish off the creatures, she even went around to the snails that had already fallen still and peeled their shells away.
Guts spilled and blood flew. The beautiful two women conducted a massacre. If Kento had been present, he would surely have covered his eyes. In the depths of the forest, the voiceless shrieks of the Pororo Snails echoed, and the slaughter by the women continued.

Summary:
The hunt for the Pororo Snail begins! Two powerful adventurers, Tania and Lyca, enter the deep forest near the Royal Capital, not for glory, but for a new adult item from Kento’s shop. Tania struggles to keep her professional demeanor as her mind is pink with anticipation, much to Lyca’s amusement and worry. The scene quickly shifts from tense dialogue to high-octane fantasy adventure as Lyca rips shells off the disgusting but valuable snails, while Tania uses her Divine Bow to execute perfect, messy headshots. This brutal monster hunt is a dark secret for the elite duo.

Character Insight:
Tania’s reputation as the cool, collected ‘Divine Bow’ is completely undermined by her intense, private obsession with the adult goods. Her embarrassment and struggle to appear professional contrast sharply with her deadly skill as an elven archer. Lyca, the younger beastkin warrior, is fully aware of Tania’s secret and is using this adventure to try and ‘fix’ her older sister, showing her deep loyalty and concern behind her teasing dialect. Their bond is built on mutual respect in combat and shared, shameful secrets.

Behind the Scene:
This chapter is the start of the required material gathering for Kento’s new product. The adventurers, highly skilled and respected, are forced to engage in a messy, brutal hunt for shells, motivated entirely by their desire for a new magic tool. The contrast between the high-fantasy setting and the extremely adult goods driving the plot reinforces the story’s unique genre and tone. The scene ends right after the initial encounter, setting the stage for more hunting action.
Notes:
• Kento – The owner of the magic tool shop ‘Harvest,’ which discretely sells adult goods. He’s a former overworked, ordinary salaryman from modern Japan who was suddenly transported (isekai’d) to this fantasy world. He has dark hair and an unremarkable appearance, typically wearing a plain, slightly suspicious-looking shop owner’s clothes looks like Kazuma Satou from certain series. He has a minimal amount of magic power, enough to craft his specialty items.
• Tania – An Elf adventurer who, despite her race’s reputation for low sex drive, is secretly quite passionate. She initially seemed ‘wasted’ (emotionally dry) to her friend Raika, but was easily introduced to the pleasure-items sold at ‘Harvest.’ She is easily embarrassed and attempts to maintain a dignified facade, despite her recent, frequent purchases. She wears practical but light armor over a simple cloth tunic and short pants, highlighting her grace and agility. Her primary relationship is one of friendly senior-junior with Raika.
