Chapter 32 The Regular Sister and the Sin-Fire Experiment
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
On my way back from the Twilight Merchant Guild, I ran into Big Sis Aki, the tiger beast-person who looked out for me back in my adventurer days. When I mentioned the suspension of the Tremble-D**do-Buddy sales, she absolutely lost it.
”That was terrifying, Big Sis Aki…” I couldn’t help but shiver as I walked home after we’d moved to a cafe to talk things over. I knew from experience that she was a fiercely loyal woman, but I never expected her to get that furious. I silently swore to myself that I wouldn’t do anything to tick off a beast-person again, all while replaying our conversation in my head.
‘Oh yeah? So, a ‘Mother’ just shows up out of nowhere and orders you to stop selling them?’
‘Y-yes, ma’am. She basically said to comply quietly if I didn’t want to be labeled an ‘Enemy of God’…’
‘Hmph. That takes some guts, I tell ya…’ Big Sis Aki’s eyes flashed fiercely. Turns out, the Tremble-D**do-Buddy is hugely popular among beast-people for dealing with their heat cycles, and it’s a big hit at the Beast-person Association meetings. Stopping the supply would leave a lot of young beast-kin women in a tight spot. Big Sis Aki promised to mobilize for the sake of her people’s well-being.
‘Listen here, we beast-people have always had a bad relationship with that Demon-Subjugation Church. They think they can say whatever they want about us struggling during our heat, calling it ‘a lack of discipline’ or saying we’re ‘no better than real beasts…’
‘What?! Th-that’s horrible!’
‘They used to say it openly ages ago, sure, and they wouldn’t say it to powerful-looking folks like me. It’s probably not all of them either. But you can tell by the condescending look in their eyes sometimes—they’re all thinking something similar, deep down.’
‘Well, that’s just awful…’
‘Anyway, I get the gist. I’ll bring it up at the next regular meeting for the Beast-person Association. Though, honestly, the fans will probably rise up on their own without me having to say much. Just make sure to talk to any beast-person customers who come by, all right?’
‘Y-yes, I understand… Say, Big Sis Aki, you’re not gonna cause any bloodshed, are you…?’
”Hold on, Kento, what do you take us for? It won’t come to that unless they act like disrespectful jerks. But hey, if they disrespect my Kento who finally got his footing, and if they start neglecting my cute kin… well, a little bit of my old blood might just get to boiling.’
‘I-I see…’
Remembering how incredibly manly Big Sis Aki was, my body shivered for the third time. Still, she’s a powerful ally, no doubt about that. Maybe resuming sales isn’t just a dream now? I couldn’t stop the corners of my mouth from turning up as I looked down at the little bouquet in my hand. It was a bouquet I’d picked up on a whim to give to Lily.
Our talk with Big Sis Aki took up a decent amount of time, so I decided to skip visiting my mentors today and just go home after finishing my errands. I bought a few non-perishable souvenirs anyway, but I’ll save the visit for another day.
”I’m home!”
”Oh, welcome back, Master. You’re early, aren’t you?”
The shop bell went jingle-jangle as I stepped into the store space, where Lily, my well-behaved shopkeeper, greeted me. That legendary ‘Welcome Home, Master’. I’m pretty used to it, but it still feels good.
”Yeah, something came up, so I decided to visit the mentors another time.”
”…That habit of putting things off isn’t very good, you know?”
”Ugh, I-I know! But this was a genuine detour. It’d be night by the time I got back if I left now. Anyway, here you go.” I ignored her cutting remark and offered her the bouquet. Lily, a bit puzzled, took it with a tilt of her head.
”Was there a special occasion?”
”Nah, I just felt like giving it to you.”
”…If you enjoyed our lovely fun from last night that much, you don’t need to give me things like this; I’ll do it whenever you want.”
”I definitely want that, but that’s not what this is about… It’s more of a, well, ‘thank you for everything,’ I guess?”
”Heh, why is that a question?”
Lily gave a wry smile, burying her face into the bouquet to sniff the flowers. Then, with a soft, gentle smile, she commented, “I’ll need to find a vase, then,” and started humming a little tune. It looked like my surprise gift was a hit. Glad I bought it.
”So, how did things go? You went to the Twilight Merchant Guild, right?”
”Ah, about that…” I told Lily all about my day: solving the Metag Stone supply issue, getting close with the manager, Badatt-shi, and agreeing to give him a personal ‘gift.’
As I talked, I found a glass bottle that could pass as a vase—it was originally meant for cheap recovery potions—filled it with water, and arranged the flowers. I then placed the ever-gazing Lily on my lap and continued the story while stroking her head.
I told her about running into Big Sis Aki, how our magic tools were a hot topic at the Beast-person Association, and how furious Aki was about the Tremble-D**do-Buddy sales ban.
”Oh, I see, that explains it…”
”Hm? Did something happen?”
”Yes. Many beast-people customers came in asking for the Tremble-D**do-Buddy, and they were all terribly shocked when I told them about the sales suspension.”
”I knew it. Looks like the word’s going to spread fast.”
”Indeed. There isn’t much we can do on our end, but perhaps we should hold a special sale once we manage to resume production?”
”Hmm, maybe we could even give it away for free. If we can restart sales, we can also release other products, like the ‘Thigh-Clinch-Vibes’, and they’d probably buy a ton.”
I nudged Lily’s cheek on my lap as I spoke. When I kept pestering her, she finally caught both my hands and wrapped them around her belly. I conceded, burying my nose into her neck. Hmm, the mix of her sweat and soap scent was a really nice smell.
My eyes drifted downward, catching a glimpse of her soft skin from the collar of her one-piece dress. Unfortunately, she seemed to be wearing undergarments today. If she’s going to tend the shop all day, we get more than just women customers; we also get lower-level male adventurers stopping by for the cheap recovery potions.
Just as an aside, the shop’s security is flawless. All my adventurer acquaintances are good people, but I can’t guarantee that for all of them, especially the broke newcomers. Every item has an anti-theft rune carved into it, and if any robber were foolish enough to enter, the sketchy magic tools on the shelves are rigged to fire all at once.
”Ah, we have a customer,” Lily murmured, apparently looking toward the entrance. She tried to squirm off my lap, but I grabbed her tight, unwilling to let her go just yet. She sighed, a small ‘oh you’ sound, but gave in and leaned her weight back against me. Her ears were red—that’s rare…
Then, the jingle-jangle sound announced the door opening. Standing there was that light-blue-haired sister, but today she was wearing a proper full habit.
”W-W-What in the name of the Saints are you two doing?!” The Sister’s face was beet red. Her chest gave a noticeable bounce as she spoke. Whoa, I never realized she was that well-endowed; she always kept herself completely wrapped up in her cloak.
”It’s obvious, isn’t it? We’re confirming our love.”
”Wha—! How dare you…!”
”Master, aren’t you getting a little too smooth-tongued lately? I prefer my master to be a bit more awkward.” Lily retorted.
”Hm, is that so? I’ll keep that in mind.” I had only done it as a joke, thinking both Lily and the Sister would have a more interesting reaction, but it seemed Lily didn’t approve. Still, the Sister was blushing exactly as I expected, and Lily had stopped pinching my thigh—the one that had been captivated by the Sister’s bosom—so I figured it was a win.
”What on earth are you talking about?! If you’re going to do that, at least flip the sign to ‘Closed’ first!”
”My bad, my bad. I’ll be more careful next time.” I replied, letting Lily off my lap. I was feigning calm, but internally, I was on edge. What was she doing here, of all days? Was she Mother Marian’s puppet? I kept my eyes on her, discreetly placing my hand on the magic circle for the anti-robbery security system, and continued the conversation.
”So, what can I do for you, customer?”
”…Alas, I am no customer today. I am here as a Sister of the Demon-Subjugation Church, and I have something to discuss with you.”
”If you’re not a customer, I’d ask you to leave…”
”I regret to inform you that is not possible. You have managed to fluster me, but first, may I give my full self-introduction?”
”Sure, knock yourself out…” I responded reluctantly, but she paid me no mind. She pulled a rosary-like object from her robes and closed her eyes in a prayerful pose.

I watched to see what would happen, and she suddenly threw her eyes wide open and declared:
”The Western Demon-Subjugation Church, affiliated with the Canarias Convent! I am the First Disciple of Mother ‘Lustrous-Flame Marian’ of the Ascetic Faction: Sin-Fire Amelia! Pray, remember my name!”
Both Lily and I were thoroughly taken aback by her dramatic, theatrical announcement. I had a lot of thoughts—there’s a Western and Eastern Demon-Subjugation Church? What’s the Ascetic Faction? Do people really just name themselves with a grandiose title? —but I figured engaging would just mean losing the battle.
”R-Right… So, ‘Sin-Fire Amelia,’ what is it you actually want…?”
”…The Church has taken the recent sales suspension very seriously. You are henceforth obligated to let me ‘experiment’ with the prototypes on myself before the release of any new product!”
Sister Amelia declared this loudly, her left hand spread wide and her right hand over her chest. …Wait, the conversation just took a hard turn, didn’t it?

Summary:
Kento secures a powerful, furious ally in Big Sis Aki against the Church’s ban, then shares a tender, intimate moment with Lily over a small bouquet. The brief domestic peace is violently interrupted by the dramatic, self-titled Sister Amelia, who demands to be the mandatory ‘experimenter’ for all future magic tool prototypes, escalating the bizarre conflict.
—
Character Insight:
Kento, despite his anxiety, uses flirtation as a defense mechanism and is surprisingly tender with Lily. Lily is fiercely loyal and slightly possessive, enjoying Kento’s attention but keeping him grounded. Sister Amelia is a deeply flustered, high-drama character whose extreme moral posturing is easily shattered by simple affection.

Behind the Scene:
The chapter sets up a multi-front conflict: the economic/political fight with the Guild/Church, the military/social fight with the Beast-person Association, and the internal/romantic conflict between Kento, Lily, and now Amelia.
Notes:
• Kento – The owner of the magic tool shop ‘Harvest,’ which discretely sells adult goods. He’s a former overworked, ordinary salaryman from modern Japan who was suddenly transported (isekai’d) to this fantasy world. He has dark hair and an unremarkable appearance, typically wearing a plain, slightly suspicious-looking shop owner’s clothes looks like Kazuma Satou from certain series. He has a minimal amount of magic power, enough to craft his specialty items.
• Lily – the sl*ve and primary experiment subject for the magic shop, ‘Harvest.’ She has striking pink hair, Blue eyes, medium breasts, which the Protagonist associates with being ‘wanton’. She has a working knowledge of magic, which she kept hidden from the slave trader.
• Badatt – The 7th-generation manager of the long-running Tasogare Merchant Guild. Despite his fat, oily, ugly bastard, have multiple rings appearance, he is a competent and respected manager who listens to his employees. He is a man of ‘good sense’ but is overwhelmed by the explicit nature of Kento’s products and the ensuing chaos.
• Marian – A ‘Mother’ and supervisor from the Church of Demon-Subjugation. Her appearance and demeanor defy the Church’s purported ‘chastity,’ instead she has wavy purple long hair, busty, black nun, tear mole under eye, and monroe walk. She has arrived with a clear purpose: to confront Kento about the ‘Devil’s Stick.
• Amelia – The Sister of the Church of Demon-Subjugating, who usually buys from Kento, has light blue hair.
