Chapter 485 In Full Bloom
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Shortly after the baby-making with Carley¹-the Ancient Elf also known as “Haha-sama”-a “ceasefire agreement” was struck between our Canaria Kingdom and the Wielope Empire to the east.
Yes, a “ceasefire agreement.” Not an “end of the war,” not a “surrender,” and certainly not an “alliance.” It’s a stopgap measure. However, this doesn’t mean Her Majesty the Queen lost her nerve, nor that the Empire was being arrogant. There was simply no other way forward.
The true meaning of this becomes clear once you see the details. First, the assets we are handing over are Carley and the assassins… the ones I’ve taken to calling the “Shadows.” This includes their leader, Gustav.
Regarding her and them: aside from the various things I ended up doing with Carley (not that I “harmed” her, exactly…), they are to be sent back to the Empire completely unscathed.
In exchange, the other side must first withdraw their forces from the surrounding small nations they are currently fighting. The most significant of these is the withdrawal from the Ivory Kingdom, located even further east than the Empire.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t force them to recognize the independence of nations that have already been annexed. Many of those territories have already been fully assimilated as Imperial lands.
In many cases, those countries were annexed without resistance; the former royals became nobles and secured comfortable positions, and the citizens are doing well enough that they don’t actually want to be cast out at this late stage.
Of course, some nations were annexed through sheer conquest, and those are harder to handle. But even in those places, there are people profiting from the change… This isn’t something our country can interfere with directly; we could do little more than voice our grievances during the negotiations.
Then, there’s the restoration of trade-a long-standing hurdle. The merchant guilds of both nations are set to dispatch caravans to their respective capitals immediately. Naturally, this includes the Tasogare Merchant Guild and Akatsuki Merchant Guild I’m close with, among others.
It’ll be much easier to export our shop’s products to the east now, which is a huge win. The “Ddo-Buddy Trade Zone”² is now growing into a massive trade network covering the entire western Northern Continent and pushing deep into the central regions.
Now, back to the main point: essentially, our country hasn’t suffered any major losses or expended much effort, other than letting a group of assassins go. And, of course, the truth about Carley and the “Shadows” will never reach the public eye.
As a result, it looks as though the Empire unilaterally folded and bowed its head to the Canaria Kingdom. If we had pushed for terms like “end of war,” “surrender,” or “alliance,” the Empire’s prestige would have been utterly destroyed.
On our end, if we forced the Empire to swallow such heavy conditions, other nations might mistake us for a new superpower rising to replace them. Our goal is strictly regional stability and buying time until the coronation of the King’s younger brother, Roland-dono.
That’s the kind of delicate diplomacy baked into this “ceasefire agreement.” Moving forward, our country will likely host many diplomatic missions from neighboring lands. We’ll have to spend our days repeating greetings like, “We look forward to a friendly future,” and, “Please support the next King, Roland.”
Naturally, as the tutor to Roland-dono and the “Special Advisor on Trade Policy and Magic Technology,” I expect to be quite busy. And yet…
”…Um, well, Kento, how is it? I took a cue from your other wives and tried to take better care of my hair,” Carley said.
”Oh, yeah. It’s… really glossy. It looks beautiful, you know?” I replied.
”…I see! And, you know, I’ve been keeping up with the womb massages. I’m making sure to apply the vibrations from both the inside and the outside. Also, the breast and n**ips massages and-“
”Yeah, good girl, good girl,” I said, petting her head.
”…! Also, also, I’m being very careful with my diet! For the sake of the child, I must stay nourished! By the way… do you prefer me with a bit more meat on my bones?” Carley asked.
”Ah, well. Carley is a bit on the thin side, so getting a little softer wouldn’t be a bad thing,” I muttered.
”I see, I see! Then I shall make it so! Is there anything else you desire?”
”Eh? Hmm. Well, if you pay more attention to your outfits and lingerie, I think I’d get more fired up…” I said.
”Right, leave it to me!” Carley replied firmly.
On a separate note, it seems Carley is the type to be completely devoted. …Well, yeah, considering she supported a nation for nearly a thousand years and loves children, I suppose I should have seen that coming.
She’ll be staying at the royal palace for a while longer. Even though the “ceasefire agreement” is signed, there’s no telling if the terms will be properly carried out. She won’t return to the Empire until every condition is met-meaning, until trade is restored and the withdrawal of troops is finalized.
Until then, the “Shadows” will be sent back in waves, with Gustav set to return only after trade is confirmed. Since Carley is the most vital person, she’s the very last in line.
The only thing is, she’s so focused on the baby-making that she’s saying things like, “I won’t go back until I’m pregnant.” I wonder if she’ll even want to go back once the process is done… If she doesn’t return, the Empire will be furious. Basically, the fate of the “ceasefire agreement” has been left entirely up to my lower body… or rather, my sperm.
I mean, I think I can handle it. If I say I’m confident I can get her pregnant, I sound like some kind of monster, but… I just have a feeling.
”And so, and so! Um, well… you’re… staying the night again today, right?” Carley asked softly.
”Ah, yeah. But I want to get my other wives pregnant too, so I can’t be here every single day, okay?” I said.
”Umu, quite right… Monopolizing you is not good. The other wives must be waiting, and if it were only me… Um, I feel bad asking before we’ve even started today, but… when will the next time be?”
”Eh? Well, Lily is the one who decides the schedule, so I can’t say for sure. Hasn’t she told you, Carley?” I asked.
”Oh, I see, that’s how it works… The legal wife told me I could ‘do as I pleased for a while,’ but it seems I was being inconsiderate… I shall ask her properly next time. It wouldn’t do for you to grow bored of me,” Carley said quietly.
”No way. There’s no such thing as me getting bored of a woman. On the contrary, no matter how many children you have, I have no intention of letting you go. You’d better be prepared for that,” I replied.
”N-No matter how many…! I-I see, I see… In that case, I must prepare myself… I’ll have to arrange a grave with Tania. No, I can’t just abandon Wielope, so I should prepare for a division of my ashes³… No, maybe I should leave the grave-tending to others and build a different kind of monument instead…?” Carley muttered to herself.
Yeah. …Yeah. …Hmm. Man, this is getting intense. Some pretty heavy words were flying around there, but I figure she can just do whatever she wants at this point.
I feel like I’ve made her shoulder an incredible burden, but Elf-time logic is beyond my help. I’ll just do what I can for her now.
Specifically, that means baby-making and building magic circuits⁴. And, of course, cherishing her with everything I’ve got while I’m still alive…
As I’m thinking this, Carley suddenly sinks to the floor. She lets out a pained-sounding groan-“Fuuu…!” I crouch down with her, putting an arm around her shoulder and rubbing her back.
”H-Hey, what happened?! Are you okay?!” I asked, panicked.
”No, it’s just… m-my uterus… it’s aching… Because you said things like ‘no matter how many’…” Carley whispered.
It seems her mind finally came back from thinking hundreds of years into the future, and her body is already getting ready. Yeah, if she’s like this, there shouldn’t be any problems with the baby-making or the “ceasefire agreement.”
With my confidence turning into absolute certainty, I scooped her up in my arms and headed for the bed.

Summary:
A strategic ceasefire is established between the Canaria Kingdom and the Wielope Empire, largely involving the repatriation of Carley and the Shadows. While the political climate shifts toward stability and trade, Carley becomes intensely devoted to her new role as Kento’s wife. The chapter concludes with Carley experiencing a physical reaction to Kento’s promise of a long-term future together.
—
Trivia:
- The ceasefire is a ‘stopgap,’ not a permanent peace.
- Annexed nations aren’t being freed because many citizens/nobles actually prefer Imperial rule now.
- Kento’s shop products are the driver behind the ‘Ddo-Buddy Trade Zone’ expansion.
- Carley is the absolute last hostage to be returned to ensure the Empire’s compliance.
- The ‘Haha-sama’ title is a literal role as ‘Mother’ to her people
—
Character Insight:
Carley is pivoting from a thousand years of political leadership to a singular, intense focus on motherhood and devotion to Kento. Kento, while overwhelmed by her intensity and elven concepts of time (like planning graves for centuries in the future), remains committed to supporting her.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The author uses political exposition as a backdrop to ground the more fanservice-oriented ‘baby-making’ plot, creating a sense of scale for the protagonist’s influence.

TL Notes:
Notes:
• Carley – Ancient Elf ‘Mother’ (Haha-sama) of Wielope Empire—young beautiful elven looks w/ ancient aura, long autumn-leaf green hair, flat-chested soft body, carefree villain matriarch to assassins/royalty like Emperor ‘Dee-bou’ & Gustav. Forest Blessing granter, founder/supporter, blunt/pragmatic, Kento progeny-obsessed, chill under magic/tentacle restraints.
• Gustav – Leader of the Wielope Empire’s elite ‘Shadow’ assassin crew—captured in royal dungeon & victory parade hit, now snagged by shop defenses. Die-hard Emperor loyalist, shakes at the thought of Carley getting hurt from political fallout.
• Roland – he younger brother of Queen Cecile and the heir apparent to the Canaria throne. Clean, golden-blonde hair, same color as the Queen, innocent, beautiful face that could be mistaken for a girl but dressed in a boy’s formal wear.
• Kento – Lord Harvest—the unassuming owner of the Harvest magic tool shop (with a discreet adult goods side). An isekai’d Japanese salaryman resembling Kazuma Satou, with dark hair and basic magic for crafting. Recently triumphed over a Great Dragon; now juggles his harem, tinkering, and ties to Amelia and the Queen at Ddo-Buddy Manor.
• Lily – the sl*ve and primary experiment subject for the magic shop, ‘Harvest.’ She has striking pink hair, Blue eyes, medium breasts, which the Protagonist associates with being ‘wanton’. She has a working knowledge of magic, which she kept hidden from the slave trader.
• Tania – An Elf adventurer who, despite her race’s reputation for low sex drive, is secretly quite passionate. She initially seemed ‘wasted’ (emotionally dry) to her friend Raika, but was easily introduced to the pleasure-items sold at ‘Harvest.’ She is easily embarrassed and attempts to maintain a dignified facade, despite her recent, frequent purchases. She wears practical but light armor over a simple cloth tunic and short pants, highlighting her grace and agility. Her primary relationship is one of friendly senior-junior with Raika.
