Chapter 504 Incidents During the Seclusion
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
The next day, Sister Amelia returned to the convent looking thoroughly satisfied. There was no way to know yet if she had actually conceived, but she seemed to possess a strange sense of conviction.
There are many things in this world I simply cannot understand. Perhaps a God really does exist. Either way, I’d be happy if she successfully became pregnant.
Spending several days straight focusing entirely on baby-making was quite stimulating and fun, so I feel a little bit of a letdown now. Plus, there was that whole “Prayer Sex” thing. I’ll make sure to remember both for the next opportunity.
”Man, that sun is bright…”
Having missed the daylight, I stepped out into the garden of the “Ddo-Buddy Mansion” and gave a long stretch. While I was at it, I pulled out a wooden sword-a training tool from my adventurer days-and did some light exercises and practice swings.
Back then, I couldn’t afford to buy my own wooden sword, so I used the gear the Guild lent out. This current sword is something I bought after I started making a little money at the magic circuit shop, just to make sure my body didn’t go soft.
In this business, I’m basically cooped up in the lab 24/7. Since I do a hundred percent of my shopping on foot, it’s better than my old world, but actual athletic ability is a different story.
”Hard work today, Master. I’m sure you’re fine, but you haven’t been overdoing it?”
”Hm? Nah, I’m perfectly fine,” I replied.
My love-slave Lily, who happened to be out tending the flowerbeds, spoke to me while watering. The garden, built along with the “Ddo-Buddy Mansion,” has become entirely Lily’s territory.

Apparently, she picks the plants with my love-elf Tania. Looking closely, she’s planted medicinal herbs in addition to flowers. And emergency rations for a crisis.
I’m not sure what her goal is, but apparently, that’s common in this world. Or maybe it was common in my old world too and I was just oblivious.
She looks like she’s having fun, so that’s the main thing. She occasionally lets my daughter Momo walk around here, and when I think about this becoming a playground for the kids, I’m glad we built it. It even worked as a banquet hall a while back.
”Anyway… did anything happen while I was holed up in the basement?” I asked.
Once I finished my form, I wiped my sweat and asked. I figured nothing much had happened, but I asked just in case. I was hoping for a cute story about the kids, but…
”Let’s see… If I had to pick something, there’s the fact that Satsuki-sama and Nina discovered a solvent during their ‘Ddo-Buddy’ resuscitation research; and the southern trade has made our products so popular that the Sound of the Sea merchant guild and the Evening Calm merchant guild are in a heated battle with other guilds; and since the Wielope Empire gave up on withdrawing troops before winter, Captain Carley-sama’s stay will be extended; and the ‘Holy Eminence’ is taking heat for recognizing the marriage of a nun; and oh, Roland-dono and the daughter of Duke Greter, Lady Unia, were caught having their first kiss… Oh! And the Elven sisters were so captivated by Wakaba-kun’s smile that they nearly bled to death from nosebleeds,” Lily explained.
”Wait, there were way too many ‘incidents’ while I was gone!?” I shouted.
I accidentally slipped into a fake Southern accent, nearly doing a full-blown Yoshimoto Shinkigeki¹ style pratfall. How did all this happen in just a few days!?
”I mean, you could have told me this stuff a little sooner…!”
”But that’s exactly what I’m doing right now, isn’t it? Besides, none of it is an emergency, so it’s fine. Please, feel free to relax a little longer,” Lily said.
”I mean, even if you say that…”
Lily was completely unfazed. If she says it isn’t an emergency, it probably isn’t, but I can’t stop thinking about it. I’ll try to organize it in my head.
First, the discovery of the solvent by my Love-Mage Satsuki-sama and my apprentice Nina Mailse. That’s great news. Our shop has been working on “resuscitating” Ddo-Buddy and “Warrior Alex” units that were worn out. The key was a solvent to melt and bond the outer skin. It looks like they finally got results. Personally, I want to check it now, but there’s no deadline for the “Alex” project.
Next is the southern trade. Our products have become the talk of the town on the other continent. The Sound of the Sea and Evening Calm guilds from Sylvaol are brawling with others to control that trade. Again, not an emergency. If they fight, our product value just goes up.
”If you’re going to just think here, should I brew some tea?”
”Ah, yeah… thanks…”
”Then please, take a seat and wait,” Lily said.
I sat on a garden bench. It has a nice table-the kind handy for barbecues. Anyway, back to business.
Then there was the news that Wielope’s Ancient Elf-Captain Carley-sama-is staying longer. That’s good news. It gives me more time for baby-making with her. Since it was her wish, she probably would have made it happen anyway.
The troop withdrawal was a condition of the ceasefire, so the delay is worrying, but there’s nothing I can do.
And the most urgent news: the backlash against the ‘Holy Eminence.’ She recognized the marriage between Amelia and me, and she’s getting an earful for it. Since I’m involved, I’d like to help, but maybe her softening the Wielope Empire’s stance settles the score.
”Here you go.”
”Ah, yeah, thanks. Hey, about that ‘Holy Eminence’ thing…”
”Regarding that, the ‘Holy Eminence’ herself is handling it with Her Majesty the Queen. And they’ve brought Captain Carley-sama in too,” Lily replied.
”Carley…?”
I asked Lily as she returned with tea and snacks. She brewed a cup for herself too. She really is a top-tier wife.
”Apparently, they’re going to use the ‘Shadows’ that were infiltrated into the Church.”
”Wait… weren’t those the pawns Wielope used to destabilize the Church…?”
”Captain Carley-sama said, ‘If it’s to crush some Church system I don’t understand anyway, we might as well use them,’” Lily said.
”…I see.”
It feels like everything runs fine even when I’m not around. I’m not such a workaholic that I’d feel lonely, but it does let me relax. Conclusion: nothing is an emergency. I’ll talk to everyone tomorrow. These chocolate cookies are good.
”Oh, but Her Majesty the Queen did say she wants you to talk to Roland-dono immediately. She said, ‘It’s fine they’re getting along, but it would be a problem if they made a child just yet,’” Lily added.
”…Got it.”
I’m sure His Highness the next King understands… but maybe Lady Unia is the one getting impatient? I should mix some contraceptives for them.
”Also, those Elves over there are trying to build a shrine to enshrine Wakaba-kun, so I’d like you to stop that.”
”…I don’t think I can stop them. Go get Tania.”
”That sounds like a hassle, so I refuse,” Lily said.
At this moment, I never dreamed that to counter Wakaba-kun’s shrine, the Beastmen Units would build one for Mikan, and then Martin would build one for Momo. I really should have stopped them.

Summary:
After a period of seclusion for ‘baby-making’ with Sister Amelia, the protagonist emerges to find the world has progressed rapidly in his absence. Lily provides a status update covering technological breakthroughs, intense merchant guild rivalries, and geopolitical maneuvers involving the Wielope Empire and the Church. The chapter concludes with the humorous realization that the protagonist’s absence allowed for the creation of competitive cult-like shrines dedicated to his associates and family.
—
Trivia:
- The discovery of a solvent for ‘Ddo-Buddy’ repair marks a significant step in the protagonist’s business expanding from sales to maintenance/restoration.
- Wielope Empire’s refusal to withdraw troops before winter suggests a potential breakdown in the ceasefire or a tactical delay.
- The use of ‘Shadows’ within the Church by Carley and the Queen indicates a deep-seated plan to reform or dismantle current religious structures.
- The mention of Roland and Unia’s kiss setups a subplot regarding the royal succession and the need for contraceptive management
—
Character Insight:
The dynamic between the protagonist and Lily is solidified as one of complete trust, where she manages the household and information flow. Carley’s influence is seen expanding from a military role to a political architect, moving pieces even in the protagonist’s absence.
—
Lore And Worldbuilding Context:
The introduction of the Sound of the Sea and Evening Calm guilds from Sylvaol expands the maritime geography of the world. The concept of ‘Holy Eminence’ taking heat for social changes (allowing nun marriage) highlights the tension between progressive actions and traditional religious doctrine.
—
TL Notes:
The ‘Yoshimoto Shinkigeki’ reference is a meta-nod to Japanese variety theater comedy, specifically the trope of falling over in response to an absurd statement.

She blushes with red‑tinted ears and neck, has a voluptuous figure—among the shop’s women she ranks among the top one or two in breast size—and quietly runs soup kitchens and shop stock in the traditional habit. The only sister not yet pregnant, she visited the protagonist to conceive a child, driven by strong religious conviction.
• Lily – Pink‑haired, blue‑eyed woman with a medium bust, called a wanton by the protagonist. She is the Harvest shop’s slave and primary test subject, secretly wielding magic, serves as Kento’s love‑slave, watches repairs energetically, flashes V‑signs, and is now pregnant for the second time. Calm and diligent, she manages the garden of the Dildo‑Buddy Mansion and acts as the protagonist’s key informant on domestic and political matters.
