”Well, then, this area here is for the love potions, this is the lotion section, and the Ddo-type items are, as you can see.”
”H-ho, ho-ho… So, t-these are the adult magic tools of ‘Harvest’¹ that everyone has been whispering about, are they not…?”
Having successfully indulged in the ‘harassment,’ I began to explain the products to the silver-haired, red-eyed lady with the ‘no ja’ speech pattern. Incidentally, Tania the Elf adventurer did not seem inclined to interrupt my hobby, having begun the task of sorting documents such as the account books.
The shop’s prized goods were lined up in a row.
The ‘no ja’ lady stared intently at the products, perhaps having been boasted to by her friends, or perhaps simply consumed by curiosity. I gave simple explanations, offering advice as I went.
”These here are the orthodox products. This side features the offshoots and items for the more experienced. Usually, I sell a beginner’s set to first-time customers who don’t have a specific preference. If you’re not a person from the Royal Capital, you should buy a few different types together. Most customers visit at least two or three times to find the product that suits their taste.”
”I-I see, no ja. Indeed, with so many varieties, finding one’s preference must be quite a struggle… Or perhaps, one is also meant to consider the joy of collecting…?”
Oh, for a beginner, she certainly understands! It is limited to only a very few customers, but I have heard that some even display bottles of love potions and lotions, or line up Ddo-Buddies, as decorations. Such customers are excellent patrons, purchasing every type whenever a new product is released—and often multiple copies: one for use, one for display, and one for storage. If I were to name one such person I know, Aerith-jou², whose responsibility was just decided, is quite the collector, I hear. After all, she repurchased the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy’ which she must already have owned, upon its re-release. According to her, the sensation of the ‘Ddo-Buddy’ differs depending on the user who cast the ‘Hardening Magic’ upon it, but can that really be true…?
Well, that is quite beside the point for now.
I handed the basic ‘Ddo-Buddy No. 2’ to the ‘no ja’ lady.
”Here you go. This is our best-selling ‘Ddo-Buddy.’”
”O-oh… This is the real thing… It-it is surprisingly large, is it not…?”
She cautiously held the ‘Ddo-Buddy’ in her hands, checking its weight, shape, and texture. The sight of a silver-haired, red-eyed beauty stroking the underside ridges and running a finger around the head was certainly a feast for the eyes.
And yet, this:
”Eh? No, that’s actually one of the smaller items we stock, you know? Look, that one is No. 2, and this is No. 3. Since you are here, would you like to hold the maximum size, No. 7, too? Though, there are few customers who actually use it…”
”Hah…! W-what? W-what is this…! Th-this thing will surely tear my private spot…!”
Holding the No. 7, the ‘no ja’ lady’s red eyes widened in astonishment. Indeed, the head was larger than her clenched fist, and the column was thicker and larger than her arm—a sight that might inspire actual terror. It was a pleasant sight nonetheless, to watch her embrace the ‘Ddo-Buddy’ and tremble delicately.
”Ah, if I might ask an unrelated question, Madam Customer, are you perhaps…”
”W-what is it!? W-what are you trying to say…!”
”Do you happen to be inexperienced?”
”Of course I am not…!” she immediately retorted.
Sad news (or perhaps, good news?): the ‘no ja’ lady is a virgin. Well, I had a feeling. After all, her way of touching the ‘Ddo-Buddy’ was far too hesitant, and she seemed embarrassed just to utter the name.
In truth, quite a few customers of this type visit our shop. Our main clientele are women looking to enjoy themselves with a lover, or, conversely, women spending a lonely night after a breakup, or wives unsatisfied with their husbands, or perhaps Beastkin³ women struggling through their ‘rutting season.’ Naturally, women without experience also come. Most of these are trying to buy a love potion to tempt a specific person, or they are highly determined Elder Sisters⁴, but true virgins also show up. They might be pessimistic about their future or simply driven by curiosity, and for them, we have our standard sales method.
”My apologies, my apologies. In that case, you won’t need that one.”
”W-what is this!? Are you saying that you w-will not sell to the inexperienced!?”
”No, that’s not it. It’s just that there’s an order to things.”
”H-hmm…?”
I took back the ‘Ddo-Buddy No. 7’ and instead handed her the ‘Ddo-Buddy No. 1’ along with the pain-relieving lotion, ‘Break-the-Hymen Guide.’ These products are, quite literally, intended for that specific purpose.
”If it’s your first time, this set is what I recommend. If you try to force yourself to use the regular one, you might get hurt.”
”O-oh… Certainly, something this size…”
The ‘no ja’ lady turned the ‘Ddo-Buddy No. 1’—a size that could be called adorable—in her hand. The head’s flare was also small, and the column was only slightly thicker than my little finger. Watching her playfully handle it was quite pleasing to the eye (and so on).
However, even this cannot be sold easily. I posed a question to the ‘no ja’ lady.
”Well, the product is available, but to avoid any issues, I must ask: are you truly intending to use this? It is, of course, irreversible, you know?”
”Y-yes. That is so…”
”You don’t have a lover, correct?”
”If I had one, I would not be here, would I?”
”No plans either? Even if you’re not dating, is there someone you like…?”
”None. A person of affection, of course, but acquiring a partner is simply not possible for the next decade or so…”
”Hmm, I won’t ask, but you have a reason, don’t you?”
”Yes. It would be better if you did not ask. In any case, I wish to purchase that product.”
Her resolve seemed firm. As the owner of a magic tool shop, I should simply sell it without a fuss, but still, I felt a slight sense of wastefulness…
”Then again, let’s see, you don’t necessarily have to break the barrier just to experience sensory pleasure, you know? For instance, there’s this. And though it’s not yet released, if you have the courage, there’s the ‘anal type’…”
”A-and what is ‘anal,’ exactly…? Also, is this not a regular ‘Ddo-Buddy’…?”
”This is our signature product, the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy.’ With this, you can feel good just by pressing it against you, without inserting it. Press the base.”
”Hmm? Th-this…?”
”Waaah…!”
The ‘Ddo-Buddy’ began to rattle! with a sound like ‘vvveee!’ in the ‘no ja’ lady’s hand. Her startled reaction, nearly causing her to drop it, brought a wave of nostalgia. Everyone has become so accustomed to the ‘Ddo-Buddy’ vibrating that they no longer express surprise.
I nodded in satisfaction, enjoying the sight of the ‘no ja’ lady bewildered by the continuously rattling ‘Ddo-Buddy,’ but something about her manner seemed odd. She pressed the switch again and again, as if checking for something…
”C-could this perhaps be the ‘switch’!?”
”Eh? Yes, it is, but you know a lot about it…”
Only those well-versed in my magic tools, or perhaps people related to the Church or the Royal Palace, would notice the switch function before the vibration. In that case, is she one of our customers, or…
”I-I see! You are the developer of the ‘Pat Hot-kun’⁵, are you not!? The developer’s identity was hidden, but to think I would encounter you here! I have always thought I must one day convey my gratitude to you!”
”Uh, umm…”
She said this happily and pulled out a familiar heating magic tool from her sash. It was undoubtedly the ‘Pat Hot-kun’ that Satsuki and I had developed. However, this is, officially, a ‘military secret.’ I was hesitant as to whether I should react.
As I pondered, she continued.
”Oh, forgive me, do not be alarmed. My name is Tina Badcage. I am the only daughter of the Duke Badcage, entrusted by the Canaria Royal Family with the defence of the North!”
She announced her name loudly, even though I had not asked.

Now she’s the new worker at Harvest, a development she finds both humiliating and surprisingly fulfilling due to the rapid progress in her research under Kento’s guidance. Has long black hair, palace mage robe, and staff.
• Tina Badcage – Silver-haired, red-eyed woman with a very formal, old-fashioned way of speaking, often ending sentences with ‘no ja’. She is the only daughter of the Duke Badcage, tasked with guarding the North for the Canaria Royal Family. She is described as a beauty. Her inexperience suggests a slender build, and her dress is likely formal and aristocratic, though not explicitly stated.
