In the end, without even getting to meet Puruun, I was assigned to Ilman right away.
I told Ms. Humari to pass a message to Puruun, and just in case, I borrowed money from the merchant guild for Ms. Akari and Melon’s living expenses, and I wrote a loan agreement.
In Ilman, it’s just me and 2 older Beastfolk assigned together, and there’s no real commander. We’re supposed to take a carriage and arrive in about 2 weeks.
”With the sickness going around, they probably don’t want to send young people. You’re young, but since you’re human… that’s tough.”
Wansoru, a dog Beastfolk soldier, while we were traveling.
”Still, what’s up with just 3 of us, Mr. Wan? Are we really going to be useful like this?”
Pirukath, a cow Beastfolk, asked to Wansoru.
”Ah, it’s just for show. At least it looks like we have support, so the lord and the royal family can save face,”
Wansoru replied. I see, that makes sense.
When we arrived in Ilman, we were taken to the Lord’s Residence. Last time I was in this town, Mr. Agohige came here to greet them. It’s a pretty fancy mansion.
The lord, Count Mihail, is an Elf, so I can’t really guess his age, but he looks like he’s in his fifties and seems like a nice guy.
”Soldiers from the Royal Capital, thank you for your long journey. We really appreciate your help. Until the sickness calms down and we have more people to work, we’ll need your assistance for a while.”
He speaks so politely. He seems way more decent than that innkeeper.
Then, an Elf woman walked in. She looked about the same age as Ms. Akari and was a slender beauty.
”This is my wife, Beyond. She can be a bit nervous, so please remember her face well so you don’t mistake her for a stranger.”
Hmm, is that a joke? Should I laugh?
”Dear, how could you say that? Don’t worry, everyone. I won’t eat you or anything…”
Yeah, I guess it’s not really a laughing matter.
Our job as the 3 of us is to be bodyguards for Sir Mihail. Apparently, the families of the previous guards got sick from the illness and had to focus on their farming, so we were sent to fill in.
The butler guided us, and we entered the Guardhouse near the main gate. We’ll be taking turns standing guard starting tonight. First, Pirukath stood at the gate.
Wansoru and I decided to rest early to prepare for our turn.
”That lady seemed a bit scary, huh?”
”Really? What do you mean?”
”That Lady Beyond, right? She definitely seems nervous. I feel like she might get mad over a small mistake, so we should be careful.”
”Ah, got it…”
Even though I said that, I really need to mess up soon so I can get fired. If she’s like that, it might actually work out for me. But how am I supposed to mess up? I fell asleep without figuring it out.
A few days later, one morning during my guard rotation, I was sitting in the guardhouse next to the gate. I didn’t have to stand the whole time, but it was so boring with nothing to do. I couldn’t sleep, so I started practicing with the wooden sword I brought. Luckily, not many people passed by, and if I saw someone, I quickly went back inside.
Soon, the sun was right overhead, and just as I was about to switch shifts, I was suddenly spoken to from behind.
What? I didn’t sense anyone coming!
When I turned around, it was Lady Beyond standing there.
”What are you doing?”
”Oh, I’m so sorry. I was just warming up and doing some exercises to be ready in case something happens…”
”Ha, that’s a weak excuse. But, well, it doesn’t seem like you were slacking off, so I’ll let it slide. You’re human, huh? And your sword skills are a bit different. It’s interesting.”
”Um, madam. Were you a former mercenary or something?”
”Haha, you’re a funny kid! But you’re right on the mark. I was an adventurer when I was younger.”
”Oh, really? That makes sense why you’re interested in swordsmanship…”
”It’s almost time for lunch break, right? You should join me for my lunch. I want to see your sword skills up close too.”
After switching shifts, I was invited by Lady Beyond to the backyard of the mansion.
In the backyard, there was a big cloth set up like a tent for shade, and under it, there were tables and chairs. For lunch, sandwiches were prepared, and after we finished eating while chatting, Lady Beyond said,
”Okay, show me your sword skills. If you have some basic forms, please start with those. And I want to see your muscles move, so can you take off your top?”
Well, it was getting warm, and I didn’t really have a choice, so I took off my military uniform. The beastfolk maids nearby gasped and turned their eyes away shyly.
Then, I showed my kendo techniques.
”Wow, amazing! This is some pretty practical martial arts for close combat, right?”
Lady Beyond said something similar to what Ms. Sharlin had said. She must be quite skilled too. Then she ordered a maid to bring something… wait, is that a greatsword?
No, it’s actually a practice sword, but what does she plan to do with it? Just as I was thinking that, Lady Beyond stood up.
”How about we have a little sparring match?”
So, Lady Beyond and I had a few practice fights.
She really was skilled. We sparred for about 30 minutes. Just as I was thinking about getting ready to switch shifts, in that moment, Lady Beyond’s greatsword hit my right thigh cleanly. Oops, that was a mistake!
I stumbled and fell to the ground.
”Oh no! I got too carried away having fun. You’re Mr. Yuuta, right? Are you okay?”
Lady Beyond looked worried as she leaned over to check my face. I tried to get up, but it hurt a lot. It seemed like I had pulled a muscle.
”Oh no, this isn’t good. Ruruka, Minowa. Take Mr. Yuuta to the guest bedroom. And tell Sebas to arrange for a doctor or healer.”
Lady Beyond was giving orders to the maids around her.
”Oh, I’m fine. I have a shift coming up, and I’m used to this kind of injury.”
”No way. I can’t let you push yourself after I hurt you. It’s fine if you skip your shift. No one is coming anyway, and if any bandits show up, I can just chase them off.”
That’s true; Lady Beyond could probably handle most bandits. But maybe Ms. Sharlin is stronger.
I decided to take her up on her offer and let them treat me. I got treated by a healer on the luxurious bed in the guest room, and the pain completely went away.
When I was about to head back to my shift, the lord, Sir Mihail, came in.
”Hey, you’re Mr. Yuuta, right? I’m sorry my mischievous wife caused you trouble. For today, it would be better if you just rest here until morning. The maids are nearby, so feel free to call them if you need anything.”
Wow, what a kind person. Since coming to the Royal Capital, I’ve had a rough time just because I’m human. Compared to that, the lord and lady here are…
I completely took advantage of the lord’s words and decided to spend the night in the guest room.
However, the bed was too soft, and I couldn’t fall into a deep sleep. In the middle of the night, as I dozed off and woke up several times, I sensed someone nearby, and when I opened my eyes in surprise, Lady Beyond’s face was right in front of me.
”Oh, did I wake you up? You can continue sleeping if you like.”
”Umm, Lady Beyond, what are you doing here at this hour…?”
”Hehe, don’t worry about it. I was just observing the rare sight of a human sleeping.”
”Hmm… Well, I’d like to continue sleeping, but with your presence so close, I’m too nervous to relax.”
”I see. In that case, I’ll have to leave. But Mr. Yuuta, before I go, could you do me a favor?”
”Of course, I’ll do whatever I can.”
”You see… I want to see your manhood.”
”! Is that…?”
”Yes, you know the urban legend, right? This is a perfect opportunity to confirm it with my own eyes.”
Oh boy, what do I do now? The noble lady, Lady Beyond, is a bit of a libertine, just like Mr. Agohige mentioned… Wait, this could be an opportunity! I need to do something to get kicked out of the military, and this could be my chance. I took off my clothes and lay naked on the bed, facing up.

”Mr. Yuuta, you need to relax more. Here, maybe this will help.”
Lady Beyond started taking off her clothes.
Oh no, this is dangerous. I tried to speak, but Lady Beyond silenced me.
”Mr. Yuuta, if anyone sees us like this, you’ll be executed… No talking.”
But it was Lady Beyond who came into the room, right? Still, my explanation won’t hold up.
Lady Beyond, now naked, crawled towards me from the foot of the bed.
She grabbed my manhood with both hands and started stimulating it back and forth.
However, due to extreme tension and Lady Beyond’s mediocre hand technique, my manhood was only half-erect.

Impatient, Lady Beyond took my manhood into her mouth and started sucking.

And so, I was caught red-handed as an adulterer and restrained in the storage room.
Sir Mihail was furious; this could end with my execution…
