”Yuuta! Wake up! Stay with me!”
I was shaken a few times, and I finally woke up.
Right, I fell into that gate thing.
I still felt a bit sick. When I slowly opened my eyes, Mrs. Akari’s face was right in front of me.
”Whoa! Auntie, you’re too close!”
”Oh, thank goodness! You’re awake! I was worried you wouldn’t open your eyes again.”
”Auntie, are you feeling okay?”
”Yeah, I still feel a bit off, but I’ve always been good with motion sickness. Anyway, we need to hurry back and help Tomori!”
That’s true, but my thoughts were all jumbled. Where even are we? I slowly sat up and looked around. It seemed like we were in some kind of forest. The sun was still up, but it was really cold. Wait, there’s even some snow! And we’re both dressed for summer. Calm down, calm down.
I took a deep breath and started to think clearly. Auntie was watching me with worried eyes.
The man said something about going through the gate without a tag. That means that gate lets us travel between worlds, and the tag they put around Tomori’s neck was probably what they meant.
Without it, Auntie and I must have jumped into the gate and ended up in a random place, just like lost mail. So, this might not even be our world, or theirs either? Realizing this made me understand how serious our situation was.
”Auntie, please listen carefully. We need to figure out where we are and how to get back. But first, we have to make sure we survive, or we might die here.”
”But, but, we have to help Tomori quickly! She might get eaten by a pig…”
”Calm down! I know that’s important, but we can’t help her if we’re not alive. Since we fell into the gate by accident, it might need to be reset. If we’re lucky, my dad or the police might come looking for us. Let’s focus on getting back alive for now!”
”Okay, I understand. I’ll do what you say, Yuuta.”
For now, I untied the ropes and took off the gag. I decided to keep them as useful tools. All I had left was my phone and my coin purse. They took my wooden sword when they captured me. Auntie didn’t have anything except her clothes. Night would come soon, and I wondered how cold it would get.
If I had been a delinquent and smoked, I would have had a lighter, I thought, but now it felt like we were starting a really tough survival challenge.
Anyway, moving around in an unknown place at night is too risky. Finding a safe spot to stay should be our first priority. If there are pig people here, who knows what other wild animals might be around?
With Auntie, who probably can’t fight at all, we need to be extra careful. But this place really looks like a wild forest, and I couldn’t see any signs of people.
I found a few branches that could work as a makeshift weapon, but even though I had some outdoor knowledge from being in Boy Scouts and going to summer camp with Tomori, it didn’t seem useful here.
”Ah-choo!”
”Auntie, are you cold? You’re just in a T-shirt and shorts. Do you want to wear my T-shirt over yours?”
”But then you’ll be left without a shirt…”
”It’s fine. I’m built differently.”
I said that and put my T-shirt over Auntie.
”Waa, it smells like you! I’ll brag about this to Tomori later.”
Phew. Auntie should be okay for now, but even I felt cold.
The sun had completely set, and I started to panic, but I managed to find a spot between some rocks and trees that could block the wind. We decided to stay there until morning.
Luckily, it wasn’t raining or snowing, and as long as the wind didn’t hit us, we wouldn’t lose too much body heat. Still, I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep well.
First, I crouched down and leaned against the gap, facing Auntie like a koala, with her body pressed against my stomach. It was an embarrassing position, but we needed to share body heat to stay warm, and she complied without saying a word.
”Are you cold, Auntie?”
”I’m fine. I can bear it. But you’re still wearing only your upper body, Yuuta. Should I give you back your T-shirt?”
”No, my back is pressed against the rock, and I’m getting warmer. I know it might be uncomfortable for you, but please try to stay close to me for now.”
”No, it’s not uncomfortable at all. But it’s been a long time since I’ve hugged you like this. I used to carry you around a lot when you were younger… Ah well. Today is special! I’ll hug you tightly──.”
”Oof, auntie, you’re squeezing too hard. It’s painful… Wait, are you… not wearing a bra?”
Damn, I spoke that out loud.
”Ah, you noticed? I was already in bed mode before the earthquake, so I took off my bra. Sorry about these old grapes of mine.”
She was so unprepared or maybe just natural… But her ability to stay positive in this situation was one of her good qualities.
From then on, her n*pples rubbed against my chest through my T-shirt, and every time she moved, her groin brushed against my member, which was both tantalizing and exciting, and it felt like my body was warming up.
However, my er**tion was noticeable to her, but she seemed to pretend not to notice. Alright, I’ll try to calm her a little more while we tough it out until morning. Auntie seemed to have fallen asleep, but as long as I’m awake, there shouldn’t be a problem.
”…Tomori, I’m sorry…”
Was that a sleep talk? I’m not sure I fully understand a parent’s feelings when they can’t immediately rush to their child’s aid in a crisis, but seeing Auntie’s troubled sleeping face, I renewed my determination to return as soon as possible.

(…Please, take care of my mother. I’m a lonely crybaby who can’t do anything alone, so please protect her properly.)

I woke up at that moment. Damn, I must have dozed off.
That was close. I was awake until the break of dawn, but the sun has risen completely now. I looked around and noticed Auntie was not on top of me. I panicked and looked around…
Thank goodness. She was nearby, collecting dry leaves. She seemed to have covered me with those leaves, and there was a considerable amount of them on top of me, serving as a makeshift blanket.
”Ah, you’re awake?”
”Yes, thank you for this. I was able to get some sleep.”
”I’m glad to hear that. I must have been heavy on you all night. I wanted to give you a little rest, so I collected leaves around us once it became brighter.”
”Thank you. Now we can move on to our next steps quickly. First, we need water and food.”
”Yeah, I’m hungry. I looked around for something else to eat besides leaves, but there aren’t even any acorns around here.”
”Well, even if there were, we couldn’t eat them raw…”
That’s right, drinking raw water can be dangerous, so I wish we had fire, but we can’t be too greedy for now.
The smartphone clock shows AM 08:45, but is the length of a day in this world similar to our own?
I think it’s a good idea to observe the surroundings from a high ground when stranded in the mountains and rescue is unlikely, but with Auntie and my current lack of stamina, we decided to explore the lower areas, especially looking for streams.
The forest seemed to be gently sloping, so we headed downhill, slowly. The auntie wasn’t wearing shoes, and I had lent her mine, but they didn’t fit, so walking at a normal pace was difficult. Around lunchtime, we finally found a small stream.
If I can see bugs or fish, I think at least the water is safe. But in this forest, I’ve been walking since morning and haven’t seen a single bug, bird, or animal. I can hear some bird sounds here and there, so it’s not like there’s no life at all, but I’m really thirsty. I carefully tried a little bit of the stream water.
Auntie is watching me with a worried look.
Yeah, it tastes like plain water, no smell or anything. I decided to scoop some up with both hands and drink it. It’s been a while now. I didn’t feel any weird effects, so I figured the water is safe and let the lady drink some too.
”Ahh, that’s refreshing! I was about to turn into a raisin!”
”Oh, but don’t drink too much, okay? Better to be safe.”
”Got it. But can I wash my feet and body a little? My shoes are about to give me blisters!”
”Sure, but I don’t have a towel, so be careful not to get too cold.”
”Right, I’ll just wash my face and feet then. I wanted to take a full bath though.”
”No way, please don’t take a bath in this cold! You’ll definitely catch a cold.”
”Come on, I wouldn’t mind if you saw me!”
”No, that’s not what I meant…”
But now that we found water, both of us feel a lot better.
When you get lost in the mountains and find a stream, the usual advice is to go upstream. But since we don’t know if rescue teams will find us or if there’s any civilization around, we decided it’s better to head towards a bigger river or the sea to increase our chances of survival, so we went downstream.
Soon, we reached a pretty wide riverbed just as the sun was about to set. And… bingo! There was a rough little cabin that looked like it was made by people. It seemed like a place for hunters or charcoal makers, so it would keep us safe from the rain for now.
It was tied together with wood and rough rope, and it didn’t look like it used metal or glass. We pushed aside some grass bundles that acted like a door and checked inside for any food, but it didn’t look like there was any.
”Yuuta, over here!”
Auntie was making noise outside, so I went to see what was up. It looked like the remains of a cooking stove. It seemed like there was some level of civilization here.
Plus, there were some clay bowls nearby, so if we could start a fire, we could cook something. I thought maybe… and started searching the cabin again.
Found it! This must be it. A flint stone. When I hit it against a bigger rock by the stove, sparks flew.
We can do this! I asked Auntie to help gather dry twigs and leaves before the sun went down. Luckily, it hadn’t rained or snowed in the last few days, so the leaves were dry enough, and we quickly got a fire going.
”Wow, amazing! Yuuta, you can really do anything! I’m falling for you all over again!”
”Haha. With the right tools, anyone can make a fire. Remember when we used to go to summer camp together?”
”Yeah, I tagged along, but I only washed dishes back then.”
Even though we finally got a fire, there wasn’t any food around, and soon it got dark, so we had to stop looking. Plus, when we tried to light a fire inside the cabin, it filled with smoke, and we couldn’t stay in there. This cabin was probably meant for summer.
In the end, we boiled some water to drink and wiped ourselves down. When it was time to sleep, we ended up cuddling together in the cabin.
I brought in a big stone heated from the fire to use as a hot water bottle, so it was much more comfortable than the night before. With this, we wouldn’t freeze to death while sleeping.
”Yuuta, thank you. If it was just me, I wouldn’t have made it this far and would have frozen to death. I’ll do my best too, so you can count on me a little.”
”Thanks. Tomorrow, let’s definitely look for some food. And we need to figure out our clothes too. I can’t even tell if it’s going to be spring or winter.”
”Can I snuggle a bit closer?”
”Ha ha, it’s pretty cold, huh? Go ahead, it’s okay. You’ve always been a bit clingy.”
”Hmm, being this close to Yuuta, I do feel a bit guilty towards Tomori, but we have to survive… It’s not a guilty feeling, but I feel like I’m making a promise to myself to stay close to you…”
”Yes, I feel the same way. We have to bring the auntie back safely for Tomori’s sake, and it’s not a guilty feeling, let’s work together and do our best.”
”Yeah, you’re right. But I’m so hungry. Hey, Yuuta, would you like to try sucking on my breasts?”

I guess for Auntie, having her breasts sucked by a child isn’t a sexual act.
But I’m seventeen now…
I was a bit too excited, so after making sure she was asleep, I went outside and relieved myself.
