Chapter 141 Forward
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
We stood by the stairs on Floor Thirty-Four, still catching our breath after getting out of a Monster House. While we checked our skills, Yohira said, “We got strong stones from that ‘undead’ king a moment ago, noja. Why not use them soon?”
Her idea made me think about the status-up items we had, so I checked mine.
My HP was 192. Mana sat at 123. Skill Power was 243. My Physical Attack was 237, Physical Defense 185, Magic Attack 201, Magic Defense only 56, Speed 190, Luck 176, and Movement 186.
The numbers were all over the place. I wanted to make a quick tsukkomi (retort) about that sad Magic Defense of 56. Almost everything else was three digits. Well, even having so many stats in three digits felt strange in the first place.
When I told the others how many items we had, they each made tight faces. The big number was nice, but the hard part was how to split them.
”First should be Tatara-dono,” Tatia said. “When we beat the boss on Floor Sixty, you must do the Sublimation of Existence at once. Your status should be perfect.”
Ethelena and Yohira nodded. They agreed without trouble. I let out a long breath and used fifty-six Mana-up items and eighteen Skill Power-up items. With these, all my stats would hit the limit at level sixty.
Next came the rest except HP, Mana, Skill Power, and Magic Defense, since those were still low.
For Physical Attack, I gave twenty-one to Ethelena, forty-five to Yohira, and forty to Tatia. That brought each of them to the limit.
For Physical Defense, I handed twenty-one to Ethelena, eighty-nine to Yohira, and fifty-eight to Tatia. Again, each hit the limit.
Magic Attack was a problem. Yohira’s stat was so low I was not sure we had enough. I thought about Ethelena’s Sex Sorcery skill, so I said we should focus on her first, then Tatia. Everyone agreed. I gave eighty-six to Ethelena and thirty-six to Tatia. After that, we still had enough to reach the limit for Yohira, so I passed her sixty-one.
For Speed, Tatia said it was best to start with Ethelena since she was our scout and had a low Physical Defense limit. Yohira and I agreed. We gave Ethelena eighty-three to reach her limit. Then we handed Yohira fifty-seven to hit hers. We had fifty left for Tatia, but even with that, she did not reach the limit because people of her race had a higher Speed cap. Luck was already maxed for everyone, and raising Movement more would only sit unused, so we left it for now.
Now we had to divide HP, Mana, Skill Power, and Magic Defense.
Yohira’s HP was already at the max, so the choice was between Ethelena and Tatia. If we gave all to one, she would reach the limit. Should we give it to Ethelena, who had very low HP, as a safety net, or to Tatia, who fought on the front line?
”I think we should give it to Chii-chan,” Ethelena said. “If someone is in danger, it’s her.”
”I believe we should give it to Ethelena-dono,” Tatia said. “Her low HP is clear.”
While they tried to give the benefit to the other, I studied both. Even at the limit, Ethelena’s HP would only reach three hundred. Right now, her base was 120. With skills and class, she got thirty more, so she had 150. Yohira and I both had over 500 even without items, and Tatia had over 300 from the start. Ethelena was far too low.
”…How about this, noja?” Yohira said. “Raise Ethelena’s HP to two hundred for now and Tatia’s to four hundred?”
”Since we will steal more items later, using them like that for the boss fight sounds good,” I said.
It seemed like a smart plan. Ethelena and Tatia agreed too. We gave Ethelena eighty items and Tatia sixty-one.
Next was Mana.
”I think we should give all of it to Tatia,” I said.
”Tatara-dono, may I ask why?” Tatia said.
”Tatia’s Mana limit is six hundred, and she’s stuck at one hundred ninety-nine. With Arcane Armor giving a negative effect, she only has ninety-nine. That means her finisher, Burst Edge, will be too weak. If we use the fifty-six items here, we can raise its power.”
I wanted to raise Tatia’s damage. Even with Arcane Armor, her natural attack was not that high. She could raise it with ‘reckless’ skills like ‘charge’, but they had big downsides. And she needed distance to make them hit hard. In that case, raising the single-shot power of Burst Edge was better.
”I agree with Tatara,” Ethelena said at once. “I can steal Mana with Sex Sorcery anyway. We can collect more later.”
Ethelena still was far from her Mana limit, but with natural regen and Energy Drain, she could refill without end, so she was fine.
”I also agree, noja,” Yohira said. “I do not use much Mana, so I do not need it. And if Ethelena is fine, this choice is best.”
So all fifty-six items went to Tatia. Even then, she did not reach even half of her limit. It was a big gap.
Next came Skill Power. This time, Ethelena spoke first.
”Chii-chan should get it first since she fights close and uses many skills,” she said. “Next is Tora-chan. I can steal and refill from enemies, and I almost never use skills anyway.”
”Well, since you do not use Sword Aptitude skills, your fighting is mostly auto-skills put together,” I said.
Ethelena fought with a backstab assassin style and did not need many skills. She used Precise Shot and others when sniping, but the cost was low. And with her ‘egg’ Equipment, she would not run out of Mana right away. Giving the Skill Power to the two who spent more made sense.
We followed her plan and gave Tatia one hundred sixty-one, Yohira forty-five, and the last nineteen to Ethelena.
Last came Magic Defense. If we gave everything to one person, she would hit the limit. But who?
”…Should it be Ethelena-dono?” Tatia asked.
”But Chii-chan needs it too since she holds the front,” Ethelena said.
”Yohira’s Magic Defense is low too,” I said.
”With Hydrangea, I am fine, noja,” Yohira said.
I wanted to give the Magic Defense to Ethelena to keep the one I loved safe. But looking at our party as a whole, it made more sense to give it to Tatia or Yohira. Yohira worried me most because she had to take light and dark attacks with Magic Defense alone. From Floor Fifty-One onward, that could be a problem.
”Chii-chan is the shield of this party, right?” Ethelena said.
”Yes, that is my role,” Tatia said with a small nod.
”Then she should be fully ready to defend, don’t you think?”
Tatia looked unsure at Ethelena’s bold logic. I turned to Yohira. Our eyes met, and we both nodded.
”Then let’s raise Tatia’s Magic Defense this time,” I said.
”I agree, noja. Protect us well, our shield?” Yohira added.
Tatia thought for a short moment, then accepted. We gave her thirty-nine items and passed the last seventeen to Yohira. Even after this, Ethelena still had the highest Magic Defense in the whole party. It felt like a bug.
”Then let’s raise Movement by five each,” Ethelena said.
”Hold on,” I said.
Giving points to Movement now? We already had around fifteen. More felt too much.
”I get it may feel too much,” Ethelena said, “but if we think about Chii-chan’s Mobility Boost, more distance means faster growth, right?”
”That is true,” I said.
High Movement helped not only with exploration but also in battle. At this level, each of us could act like a scout and explore alone, which might be better. Though, that was for later—maybe after Floor Sixty-One when the dungeon got wider.
”Tatara-dono,” Tatia said, “I also want more so I can raise the power of ‘charge’ when we meet strong foes.”
”Tatia… that is a fair point,” I said.
”I do not mind either way, noja,” Yohira said.
”I don’t want to let Yohira roam free. She will get lost,” I said.
”I do not get lost these days…” Yohira said softly.
She only did not get lost because we stayed together. Still, everyone agreed, so I gave in.
”Alright. Five each,” I said.
Our base Movement reached twenty. I was the only one without Mobility Boost, so I often started slow. I planned to take it after I finished the ‘mining’ skills.
At last, we were done with the upgrades. I checked my status. Physical Attack Boost, Agility Boost, Mana Boost, and magic attack increase were all complete.
Right away, I learned Ambush I, Sneak Attack I, Concealment I, and Stealth Step I. If Ethelena ever stopped joining us for exploration because of child care, I could take the scout role. It would also help my low attack power.
”Tatara, may I ask something, noja?” Yohira said.
”Sure. What’s up?” I asked.
”‘Tsubame Gaeshi’ is now at the max. Should I raise its rank, noja?”
”That was fast,” I said.
She just got that skill. How was it ready to rank up already? Well, no point thinking too hard.
”With your attack power, even if the downside halves it, you will be fine. I think you should rank it up,” I said.
”Then I will do so, noja,” Yohira said, moving through her status. She was getting more and more dangerous.
”And, I will soon finish ‘Steal’ too, noja,” she added.
”For exploration, you should take ‘Stealth Step’. Then…” I said.
”What are you saying? It should be Sex Sorcery, noja,” Yohira said.
”It’s hard to suggest that with a straight face,” I muttered.
Getting Sex Sorcery to avoid getting silly from my Sex Sorcery sounded awful on paper.
”I am curious after watching how you and Ethelena use it, noja. Against strong foes, I think it has many uses,” Yohira said.
”That use is the strange one, not the normal one,” I said.
Using binding magic or Charm magic to force an opening was not the original way. Still, it worked almost too well.
”When this trouble ends and we return to my land, I wonder how they will treat me, noja,” Yohira said.
”They will probably call you something like ‘Peerless Across the Seas’,” I said with a laugh.
”Hm. It may be good to take Father’s title, noja,” she said.
”…He was called that?” I said.
I remembered the person who inspired her name in my past life had the same title. If even sword teachers could not handle her, Yohira had likely been the strongest in Torakuma land until she was born.
We set off again to explore and reached Floor Thirty-Five, where ‘vampires’ filled the rooms. Our boosted stats were wild. We cut through them like a warm knife through butter. I used Concealment and Stealth Step to slip behind a vampire, then hit with Ambush and Sneak Attack stacked together.
Fire attack ×1.5 ×268 ×Ambush ×1.75 ×Sneak Attack ×1.75 −35 = 964.
The vampire shattered at once, and I stared. My power had grown more than I guessed. Even against that terrible boss, I could do real damage—if Ambush and Sneak Attack worked.
Still, Concealment and Stealth Step were low level. To get behind them, I needed a long path. I could not do Ethelena’s trick of walking past and striking from behind in one move. For now, I had to build this up.
”…Tatara, what did you do to make that happen, noja?” Yohira said.
”I finished some skills and took the ones that boost back attacks like Ethelena uses,” I said.
”But even so, this is too much. It worked only because Ethelena-dono uses Mana Gun,” Tatia said, shocked.
She had a point. At this level, I could aim straight for Floor One Hundred. But if I fought like this alone, the exploration speed would drop a lot.
And we would not always skip front fights. Rover-types had eyes all over, so “behind” did not exist. On lower floors, the invisible ‘Invisible’ monsters made even finding them hard, let alone their back. I still had to raise my basic fighting ability.
Tatia had talked about Ethelena earlier, and she was right to be shocked. With her Sword Aptitude rank now higher, Ethelena learned the Dual Weapon ability. She could fight with a sword and her gun, Lonisera, at the same time. With Lonisera in her right hand and a blade in her left, her fighting power jumped fast.
The sword should hit at only eighty percent, but she finished with Lonisera anyway, so her damage rose instead of falling. At this point, she could likely fight from the front, hold back the enemy with Lonisera, and cut them down with the sword. It was time to get her a real blade. If she ever gained a special ability like “two katana (Japanese sword) as one edge,” she could cancel the Dual Weapon penalty. Or, if she used a Mana Blade, it would deal fixed damage like Lonisera.
With thoughts like that in mind, we kept exploring. We crushed a dragon zombie as usual, and when we opened a treasure chest, we found a Dragon Scale Sword. All of us stared in shock. We decided to choose who would use it later and moved on. Ethelena wiped out a group of Harpy Queens with her sword alone, and we watched with a mix of awe and fear. I hit the last Queen from behind with magic bombardment and finished her.
I had learned something new: my “black shine” magic bombardment now carried elements. My right arm shot fire, my left arm shot earth, and my legs shot wind—matching the royal orbs used to upgrade them. My body was water, so I could not shoot that. If I did, it would look like that famous iron giant’s beam from the sky in that old show. I had to admit… the child in me liked the idea.
Anyway, I could now hit the Harpy race’s fire weakness from range, so I could take them down too. My Magic Attack had gone up, so I could also save Mana. We earned small bits of experience and kept going down.
On Floor Forty-Five, we began fighting Spirit Kings. We switched elements and beat them one by one. Ethelena and Yohira stole many royal orbs, but we had nothing to use them for. Maybe Ethelena’s next magic sword would use some, but even then, we would have extra. When my limit was gone, I might have some use for them, but right now they were wasted treasure. We could not sell them in the market either.
Soon, we stood in front of the boss door on the Fiftieth Floor.
”So, should we head back?” I asked.
The others paused. With our new stats, we could likely hurt the boss now. If we pushed, we might win.
Tatia raised her hand.
”I advise we retreat,” she said.
We all looked at her. She took a breath and spoke.
”My attack ability is still low. Based on what Tatara-dono told us before, even if I attack with all I have, I may not defeat the enemy for sure.”
Her face showed frustration.
”Also, the ‘Tsubame Gaeshi’ skill you told me to train is not at max yet. I do not have enough power to kill the boss,” she said, clenching her fist.
She looked at each of us.
”It will reach max level soon. So please, let us pull back this time.”
Ethelena and Yohira shared a look and nodded.
”I agree with Chii-chan,” Ethelena said.
”I do as well, noja. I want to respect Tatia’s choice,” Yohira said.
Hearing them, I nodded too.
”Alright. We go home today.”
Everyone agreed. Then Tatia sent one more thought to us.
”If we fight a little tomorrow, Tsubame Gaeshi will reach max. Then we can challenge the boss tomorrow.”
Her spirit felt strong, and it lifted me.
”Then tomorrow, once Tatia maxes it, let’s clear the Fiftieth Floor and push to Floor Sixty,” I said.
They blinked, surprised at my plan. But when they remembered the city festival and our time limit, they nodded. It could sound like a joke, but finishing early made sense.
I took out the Teleportation Crystal. Once everyone held onto me, I activated it and we left the dungeon.
At home, I washed up in the bath and went to the living room. In the yard, that fool and the Acting Head of Family were having a mock battle. The Acting Head sent a storm of blade strikes, and the other dodged them one after another, landing a few hits in the tiny gaps. Maybe I could do something close with full equipment, but he had less than half my stats. How could he do that? Was he some kind of monster?
I went to the kitchen to help with dinner, but Ichika had already started cooking. Cornremu worked at her feet, preparing food and cleaning trash. They moved so well together it was almost cute.
”Thanks as always, Ichika. I’ll help,” I said.
”You are welcome-degozaru. Please make the miso soup-degozaru,” she said.
I joined her, and she asked me to handle the miso soup. The ingredients were bean sprouts and aburaage—fried tofu. Wait, aburaage?
”Mm? Has Master never seen aburaage before-degozaru?” Ichika asked.
”Not here in Whirlwind,” I said.
I had seen it in my last life, but not in this one. Whirlwind did not even have tofu.
”So it’s a soy food?” I said.
”Right-degozaru! It is one of my favorites-degozaru!” she said.
”With broth soaked in, and rice inside… you could make inari sushi (sweet tofu sushi),” I said.
”…Master, why do you know how to make inari sushi-degozaru?” she asked.
I turned to her to dodge the question with a “just because,” but Ichika looked different. Her skin seemed to glow, smoother and bright, and her eyes looked wet and shiny.
”…Master?” she said softly.
Her lips also shone, full and bright, drawing me in. My body leaned toward her, ready to touch her lips with mine, and then—
”Okay, Tatara, stop,” Ethelena said.
Her voice snapped me back. Had I been charmed?
”…Ichika, did you learn Sex Sorcery?” I asked.
Ichika blinked, then nodded. So I really had been charmed by the Mana leaking from her.
”Ichi-san’s Sex Sorcery is already strong,” Ethelena said. “But Tatara has a weak point. He has low resistance to Sex Sorcery from someone close to him.”
Ethelena explained why I had acted that way, but I had never heard of such a thing. I turned to look at her. Fresh from the bath, her skin was pink and soft, and she wore a thin tank top with short pants to cool down. A sudden pull to take her to my room hit me, but I focused on the problem with my body instead.
”What do you mean my resistance gets low with family?” I asked.
”It’s hard to put into words,” she said. “You and I sleep together a lot, but with your natural resistance, even my Sex Sorcery should feel weaker to you. Yet you let my Sex Sorcery pass almost fully. I think if you wanted to block me, you would show very strong resistance… but you don’t.”
”So, I become weak to family?” I said.
”Yes. I think deep inside you believe ‘family does not betray.’ Because of that, you let their influence pass.”
From what she said, it sounded dangerous. What if in the future a child or family member got taken hostage? Would I be unable to fight back?
”Then how does that prove Ichi-san learned Sex Sorcery-degozaru?” Ichika asked.
”Because you’re not used to it yet,” Ethelena said. “Your Mana is leaking and turning into Sex Sorcery on its own… and it’s pointed at Tatara.”
”Pointed at me?” I muttered.
My head hurt just hearing it. Ichika was changing her Mana into Sex Sorcery without meaning to, and it only worked on me. It was a strange skill that came from her natural talent to control Mana.
”If I am using Sex Sorcery without knowing, how did it Pierce Master’s resistance-degozaru?” Ichika asked.
”Most likely because you share a Mana ‘wave’ that matches mine,” I said.
Mana was everywhere, but when a person used it, a small “soul scent” mixed in. Like how a Soul Core or royal orb carried an element, when a soul took Mana in, it carried that mark. No two marks were the same, except those of close family. That was the base behind special abilities like Lonisera’s ability, Yohira’s Temari-bana, and Ichika’s Botan.
According to Ethelena, my Sex Sorcery resistance dropped only for family. If I felt Ichika’s Mana wave, my soul or body lowered its guard.
”We need to fix this habit,” I said.
”Why-degozaru?” Ichika asked.
”If a child of mine had Sex Sorcery one day, it would be bad if I just let it pass, right?”
Hearing that, both Ethelena and Ichika froze, then nodded. Ethelena had seen what happened when someone used Sex Sorcery too freely at the academy. She agreed to help me train this out of my system.
Dinner that night was oyakodon. The broth with soy sauce was a little sweet. Onions and chicken simmered in it and were held together with egg. Mine was half-cooked, so the heat from the rice slowly set it.
We had no donburi pans here, so I had made one from steel and coated it with Mana Stone. I even added a small Spell Formula so food would not stick. It was special work.
”…Master, you like special cooking tools like this square pan for eggs or this donburi pan-degozaru,” Ichika said.
”Well, good food tastes better with the right tools,” I said.
People said a master never blamed his tools, but I believed tools should match the craft. Maybe it was because I was a crafter, but I wanted tools worthy of the food.
Once I made enough, everyone gathered. Tatia joined too, smiling at the warm Julon family meal she had missed.
I took a bite of chicken and rice. The chicken was cut small to cook fast. It was soft but still had a nice bite. Rich broth and juice spread in my mouth. It seemed Ichika had added spices for the base flavor. It lifted the taste. I thought Whirlwind’s spice style would not match Japanese seasoning, but Ichika proved me wrong.
The onions were sweet and almost melted, giving the broth a mild sweetness. A small bit of spice from the chicken gave a nice sharp note and balanced the dish.
The rice was not white rice but barley rice. It had a light, different taste that stood up to the broth. When I made shigure simmer bowl, I had wanted barley rice but had settled for white rice. I did not expect to taste it now.
I glanced up. Yohira and the Acting Head of Family were eating from big bowls with great speed. Mother-in-law scolded them for bad manners, but she looked happy anyway.
”Mmm. This is not a stiff meal in the manor. Once in a while is fine, noja?” Yohira said.
”Mother, let us be a little relaxed with the Julon family. We act proper in public,” the Acting Head’s child said.
”Alright, I guess,” Mother-in-law sighed.
”You two look too at home here,” I said with a tsukkomi.
Not that it felt bad.
”Ahh, this is it… this lighter taste that brings out the flavor of the ingredients,” Tatia said, almost tearing up.
”Chii-chan, you really love our cooking, huh…” Ethelena said with a soft smile.
”Then next time I must cook even better-degozaru!” Ichika said.
From Tatia’s teary joy, I could tell both Ethelena and Ichika were ready to feed her even more good food next time. With a reaction like that, I wanted the same.
I sipped my miso soup. Ichika had stir-fried the bean sprouts before boiling them, so they had a nice smell. The aburaage, which I had missed for so long, had a special taste and feel.
I thought, if you can eat good food, you are winning at life. Maybe it tasted even better because I ate with the people I loved.
After dinner, I asked Mother-in-law to join me in the workshop. I needed help to improve the Spell Formula for the Arcane Gun the Undead King had requested. First, I showed her the Elingium.
”There are many rough spots. Optimizing this Spell Formula is not easy,” Mother-in-law said. “Not impossible, but each part will take ten minutes.”
”If you don’t have time, we can skip—” I began.
”What are you saying, foolish disciple? Watch closely and learn,” she said.
”When did I become your disciple?” I asked.
”Then foolish son-in-law,” she corrected.
”…Not wrong, but still,” I sighed.
With that, she began optimizing the Elingium Spell Formula. I had learned before that Spell Formula needed to change by where it was placed, but this one needed very fine work. It took a long time. The Formula sped up in steps, and each part needed different detail. The first, middle, and last sections needed double the precision. Once fixed, those three parts reduced recoil by twenty percent. Amazing. While I admired that, she also optimized Auto Eizul. It now used thirty percent less Mana. Her skill was scary.
Then we finally started on the Undead King’s weapons.
Before the custom Elingium, we made a rifle-type Mana Gun for daily use, based on the one made for me. The barrel was forging Mithril, with three acceleration Spell Formula sheets from Mother-in-law. If it reached eight times the speed of sound, it would hit very hard. The recoil would rise too, but vampires had the body for it.
From the barrel to the mechanism section, it was forging Mithril. The rest was covered in Demonsteel and coated with an Orc Material mix and Mana Stone to stop rust. It became heavier overall, so even hitting with the stock would hurt.
Next was the first custom Elingium. We increased the caliber from eighteen millimeters to thirty. It looked like the weapon from that old manga. No depleted uranium here, so the projectile would be up to the user. Still, I would add a thousand Demonsteel rounds as a service.
With bigger rounds came more heat, so we doubled the rails from three to six. To absorb heat, we used a fire royal orb. To lower air drag, we used a wind royal orb. Concept Appraisal showed that the fire orb raised Mithril’s heat resistance. Good. We forged it stronger and finished the rails.
Mother-in-law optimized the Spell Formula for the mechanism. Watching her, I saw how rough mine had been. I had focused too much on structure and ignored the Formula. Shame on me.
We wrapped the finished barrel and mechanism with Demonsteel and Orc Material parts. A counterweight made the gun easier to fire standing, even though it was meant for prone shooting.
The result was a huge magic cannon, about two meters long and heavier than the Elingium at fifteen kilos. Maybe I overdid the counterweight, but like the original, people would treat it like a club anyway. So maybe this was light.
”…Tatara-san. I did not stop you, so I cannot talk, but isn’t this too much?” Mother-in-law said.
”I… had fun and got carried away,” I said.
We looked at each other and sighed. No way could I let Ethelena use this monster.
We made a second one, then moved to Harker-lord/lady’s swords. They might want a sabre, but I also forged a falchion and cutlass that would suit their grip. I thought they would like them. The blades were forging Mithril with Demonsteel bodies. Strong and sharp. Using the same build as Dalma-san’s axe made them heavier, good for someone like Harker-lord/lady.
Last were the Undead King’s twin pistols. These needed only maintenance, so I worked with care. Inside, they were normal Mana Guns. Mana exploded like gunpowder for a big round. But someone had hidden a self-destruction Spell Formula inside. Why copy that part from the source?
”Tatara-san, this is…” Mother-in-law said.
”A bit of darkness from the Night Nation, I guess,” I said.
Annoyed, I tore it down and removed the Spell Formula completely. While at it, I changed the drive to magic-acceleration, same as Gloriosa for Ethelena. I added a larger barrel and two Spell Formula sheets. The recoil would be insane. Only someone beyond human strength could fire it.
When all items were done, we lined them up. The sight was impressive.
”Clearly, Ikeemaa the guard’s weapons look too warlike,” Mother-in-law said.
”They look like he could start a war alone,” I said.
The Harker-lord/lady swords looked beautiful. The Undead King’s guns had ancient letters carved—”Judgment” and “Hammer of Iron.” Elegant.
And then three pure weapons of war beside them. It was… a lot.
When would they pick these up tomorrow?
”They said one night was enough, but this is far faster,” Mother-in-law said.
”The Chief Crafter says my work speed makes no sense,” I said—then paused.
A low, smooth voice I now knew too well spoke. I turned. The Undead King stood there in the same sleepwear as before.
”Why are you here?” I asked.
”I used the Mana of my sword you hold as a mark,” he said.
”Who actually does that?” I said.
He had really tried what we joked about days ago. And it worked. Why?
”You finished all requests already? And you let Gabrielle choose her sword herself? Kind,” he said.
”Yeah. Liking a weapon and being suited for it are different. I want her to try the one that fits once,” I said.
He looked pleased. Maybe he rarely saw me work as a crafter.
”So, what time are you coming tomorrow?” I asked.
”Night, if possible,” he said.
”I’d like you to come in the morning,” I said.
”Hm? Why?” he asked.
He looked curious, so I answered simply.
Notes:
• Yohira – Torakuma’s first name. Oni warrior.
• Cornremu – TataraGolem; wears red scarf (*”Ta-!” greetings*).
• Ichika – The fox girl. Kunoichi. Virgincest⚠️, becomes pregnant immediately.
