Chapter 162 You Can’t Escape Fate
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I stood there, frozen by Seisouchou’s sudden declaration. Before I could process it, I ushered them into the living room to get the full story. My usual housemates were understandably on edge, eyeing the two newcomers – both clearly of the Angel race – with suspicion. I ignored the tension and set tea out for our guests.
”So,” I began, “why the hell are you trying to foist your youngest sister on my household?”
”Foist? How hurtful…” Seisouchou replied, her expression unchanged.
No, if you show up unannounced and demand I play babysitter, ‘foisting’ is exactly what you’re doing, I thought.
Seisouchou took a slow sip of her tea, her gaze turning sharp and serious. “Well then, Master Tarashi -“
”It’s Tatara,” I corrected.
”Do you know why this little one, Yohira, is treated as the ‘other’ sister?” she asked.
”I assume it’s because she’s a disaster as a maid,” I said. “You keep her on part-time status because she can’t handle the actual work, right?”
In the game, there was never a formal explanation for this, but it was common knowledge among the player base. Yohira had the lowest base stats of all the ‘Poster Girls¹‘. Her growth potential was massive, but her starting point was rock bottom. To make matters worse, her unique skills were high-risk gambles that relied entirely on luck, and she was the only one in her set who lacked a long-range attack. Grinding her levels was a nightmare.
Still, if you actually maxed her out, her combat ability was true to her ‘Poster Girl’ title. In terms of raw, burst firepower, she could theoretically surpass even the Archangel. It was all hidden in her potential.
”As I thought,” Seisouchou said, “you understand her situation.”
”Well, it affects my living situation, doesn’t it?” I replied.
Without my memories of the game, I’d have no way of knowing any of this. Unless you were a ‘Singularity’ – a protagonist destined by fate – you’d never even encounter these girls. Then again, if I’d managed to save the Archangel while the original hero, Smith, was nowhere to be found, what did that make me?
”What I’m asking,” Seisouchou continued, “is for you to handle Yohira’s education.”
”Isn’t that a bit much to ask of me?” I asked, leaning back.
Yohira’s clumsiness wasn’t just ‘oops’ territory; it was a localized natural disaster. If she washed dishes, five plates died. If she did laundry, everything came out a muddy tie-dye. Cooking resulted in charcoal, and tidying up usually meant broken furniture. The other sisters had specialties they could focus on, but Yohira was a jack-of-no-trades.
”Please,” I said, “just take her back to your family home and let her practice there.”
”Even I have limits,” Seisouchou admitted, her voice flat. “The stress of constantly cleaning up her messes is starting to take its toll.”
”At least you’re being honest,” I muttered.
”So, what about a little ‘night service’ training?” she suggested.
”I’m going to punch you,” I said.
She had a disturbingly casual attitude toward propriety, something I didn’t expect from a high-ranking Angel. Meanwhile, Yohira – the very subject of this life-altering negotiation – was busily blowing on her tea, completely oblivious.
”Yohira? You realize we’re talking about you, right?” I asked.
”Huh?” she squeaked, blinking in confusion.
”I’m asking if you have any objections to this,” I said.
”Oh… well… I’m just a half-rank part-timer,” Yohira whispered, her shoulders slumped. “I don’t really have decision-making power. Or rights. Or… a soul, probably.”
”Don’t go that far, kid,” I sighed. Her self-esteem was in the gutter. I looked back at Seisouchou, who was calmly sipping her tea. “How did you let her get this bad?”
”It’s more efficient to break the heart until it’s a vacant lot before you start the reconstruction,” Seisouchou replied.
”That’s way too Spartan!” I barked.
”Master Tatara,” she said, her tone brook no argument. “Use whatever means necessary. Improve her domestic skills. Or, at the very least, find one thing she’s actually good at.”
”And if I say no to this impossible task?”
”It’s not that we ‘won’t’ fix her,” Seisouchou said, her eyes meeting mine with haunting sincerity. “It’s that we cannot. Because we are of the same essence, we are bound by the World Laws². We cannot interfere with the root of her existence. But you… you are the greatest Anomaly³ this world currently holds.”
”An Anomaly?” I repeated.
”Yes. There have been others like you, but your ‘fluctuation’ is on a scale we haven’t seen before.”
That gave me a bad feeling. She was likely talking about the protagonists of the previous games. If my choices could actually warp the laws of the world, it meant I had more power than I ever wanted.
”If I do this,” I asked, “what’s in it for me?”
”You get the right to do whatever you want with my sister,” she teased.
”Get out,” I said.
”It was a joke,” she said with a faint, mocking smile. “If you can actually correct her behavior… then I will lend you my own strength, alongside hers.”
I blinked. “Wait, what?”
”Lady Sister?!” Yohira cried out, finally looking terrified.
”Make up your mind, Yohira,” Seisouchou said coldly. “If you don’t become useful soon, even the Archangel will have to cast you aside.”
That threat hit home. Yohira looked devastated for a second before her face hardened with resolve. She turned to me and bowed deeply. “I’ll be in your care starting today!”
”Wait! I haven’t agreed yet!” I shouted, but the momentum was gone. It felt like a forced cutscene.
”Fine,” Seisouchou said, ignoring my protest. “As an advance on your reward, I’ll give you some information. Something regarding the Archangel… and you.”
”Information?”
”Yes. About what our eldest sister has been doing behind the scenes to preserve your ‘quiet life.’”
I groaned. She knew exactly which buttons to push. “If you’re bringing the Archangel into this, I guess I don’t have a choice.”
”Hehe. You really do adore her, don’t you?”
”It’s Tatara,” I sighed. “And it’s not like that. She saved my life. I’m just paying back the favor.”
”Tatara-dono, you’ve been muttering to yourself for a while now. Is everything alright?” the Part-time Leader asked hesitantly.
I glanced at Dahlia, and her silent stare made it clear: she expected me to handle the explanation. I turned toward the Seisouchou⁴, who gave a sharp nod of approval.
”These girls… or rather, their older sister has been looking out for me for a long time,” I said. “She’s asked me to take in and raise this little one here – the youngest, currently nursing her tea.”
”But… we didn’t hear a word from them?”
”The logic is a bit fuzzy, but it seems I’m the only one who can understand their speech,” I explained. “Though, apparently, they can understand my Golem just fine.”
It was an incomprehensible quirk of my existence, one the World Logic simply attributed to ‘who I am.’ Since the ability was baked into my soul, I hadn’t even found a starting point for crafting a Magic Device that would let others listen in.
”And why have you been shouting names at the air?”
”The Seisouchou keeps calling me a ‘Tarashi’⁵, so I was just setting the record straight,” I grumbled.
”I see. So you’re a philanderer,” the Leader remarked flatly.
”I have no memory of philandering!”
(Being unaware is a scary thing, isn’t it…)
I shot a look at the Seisouchou. Don’t you start joining in on the ‘Seducer Certification’ everyone else is handing out.
”Anyway,” I cleared my throat, “what’s this ‘pre-reward information’ you mentioned?”
(That is regarding the enemies that Big Sister is defeating every day for your sake.)
”…What?”
The idea of the Archangel – arguably the strongest being in this world – fighting a daily war was enough to make my skin crawl.
”Let’s set the ‘on my behalf’ part aside for a second. What are these enemies? The Chef said that even weakening and sealing them was the limit of her power.”
(Has that girl spoken even that far? The enemies being defeated are the end of this world. Fragments of the End⁶.)
”…If I recall, I heard that the 72 Sovereigns of the Abyss⁷, who were served by a single King in a past so distant it doesn’t even remain in myth, were called that?”
(Yes. To make matters worse, the entity that could be called the aggregate of those 72 pillars is the existence Big Sister is fighting.)
My mind raced. In the games I remembered, these Demon Lords were end-game bosses or hidden encounters triggered by specific, grueling conditions. Their power rivaled or eclipsed the gods who maintained the current world. Even if you destroyed their physical forms, their essence remained. Not even the legendary ‘Demon Lord of the Sword’ could fully extinguish them. And now, the Archangel was soloing a seal on their combined mass?
”Hold on… why is she the one who has to fight them?”
(Surely you have an idea?)
As she spoke, a memory from a visual fanbook surfaced. I thought about the dungeon in this city, the ‘Whirlwind,’ and how it managed to stay stable.
”Is it… in the deepest part of the ‘Cavern of Eternal Night’⁸?” I asked.
(To be precise, it is the corpse of the Demon Lord located beyond that; it is sealed beyond the crack in the world where that corpse is wedged.)
My legs gave out. Ethelena and Ichika caught me instantly, but for a second, my vision went pitch black.
”…Hey, the Chef told me before to aim for the deepest part of the dungeon.”
(Yes, I suppose so.)
”So, what the Chef really wants from me is…”
(Your lifespan issue is just a side matter. It is the defeat of the entity creating that dungeon and the destruction of the Demon Lord’s corpse existing beyond it. And… closing the crack in the world.)
I felt it in my gut – this was the original destiny that Archangel and the World Logic were talking about. Trust a celestial being like the Seisouchou to drag the fate I’d been avoiding right into the light. And the Chef? She was even worse, moving me like a pawn without ever mentioning the grand design.
”…And for this objective, you ‘Poster Girls’ will lend your strength?”
(Whether we lend strength depends on Tatara-sama’s hard work.)
”Tatara… well, I guess that’s technically correct.”
(Muu, calling you by your name is actually a bit embarrassing, you know?)
Don’t blush a little. I can’t read your true intent.
”This ‘pre-information’ is a hell of a lot heavier than I expected.”
(Oh, humans who can know their own destiny in this world are rare, you know?)
”You say that, but this isn’t my ‘current’ destiny. Your boss said my path had shifted, remember?”
(That’s right. Originally, the current destiny is for Tarashi-san’s child to have Tarashi-san make weapons for them.)
”It’s Tatara… wait, you’re going to tell me that part too?”
This was the absolute worst. Even if I ignored the ‘Sublimation of Existence,’ I now had a concrete reason to reach the bottom. I didn’t know if I was strong enough, but without these girls, I wouldn’t stand a chance against a ‘Fragment of the End.’
And the thought of passing this burden to my kid? I hated it. If it was a child with Ichika, or maybe someday with Ethelena… who would be forced to carry this weight?
”I’m trapped, aren’t I?”
(I have no intention of letting you go.)
I let out a long, weary sigh and hardened my resolve. Her eyes, usually narrowed in a playful smirk, were wide and fixed on me with unsettling intensity.
”Fine. I was going to have to clear that place anyway if the city was at risk of blowing up. I’ll take in ‘Yohira’s other sister’. I’ll turn her into a combat asset and, God help me, I’ll teach her how to run a house.”
The Seisouchou gave a satisfied smile and a firm nod.
For the time being, I see the Seisouchou off and have the gathered members assemble to inform them that I will take charge of ‘Yohira’s other sister’ and educate her in housework and other matters. There is still much preparation for the City Festival, but this must be done in parallel. The time limit is my death; if I don’t succeed, the Archangel will stop sealing the Fragments of the End. Furthermore, I worry about whether to mention that I need to craft weapons for my child.
”So, shall we hear the details of the conversation between Tatara and that Angel race just now?” Dahlia asked as the representative.
”There’s a lot, can I skip the fluff?”
”As long as you don’t hide the important parts, skip away.”
The Part-time Leader (Dahlia) replied, and the gaze of everyone gathered fell on me. Including Ichika, several looked on with anxiety mixed in.
”First, the request from the Seisouchou is, as mentioned at the end of the talk, the training of the youngest sister, ‘Yohira’s other sister’. Whether that includes raising her level in the dungeon is unclear, but at the very least, I’m to educate her in general housework as a maid skill.”
”…A maid who can’t do housework?” Tatia asked.
”Well, we have a Machina Saint over there wearing a maid outfit whose housework skills are catastrophic.”
I replied, pointing to Dahlia. Her housework is a disaster, but she’s great at controlling Magic Devices, so it’s balanced in a way. Also, don’t puff out your chest with pride just because I pointed out you can’t do chores.
”In that case, shall we have her stand in the kitchen-degozaru?”
”To be honest, I’m afraid she’ll destroy the equipment if she stands in the kitchen.”
”…Is it that bad?” Mitsuha-san asked hesitantly.
”I think I recall her flipping pots and pans or stabbing a kitchen knife into the cutting board. She could probably cause even more damage than that.”
The kitchen staff turned looks of terror toward ‘Yohira’s other sister’. She trembled under their gaze and for some reason hid behind my back… I feel like there’s some murderous intent mixed into those stares, you know?
”For now, I’ll have her start with serving. Even then, she’ll probably trip and flip plates or trays, ruining the food. As a countermeasure, I’ll prepare dishes that can be made in large quantities. First, I want everyone to help so she can serve food properly.”
The group nodded at my words. Behind me, a surprised voice rang out.
”What’s wrong?”
I asked ‘Yohira’s other sister’, and she answered in a flustered panic.
(A-Are you seriously planning to improve my housework Ability!?)
”I wouldn’t accept the request if I wasn’t serious.”
Wait, she used ‘Watashi’ earlier, but she just used ‘Boku’… so ‘Boku’ is her true first-person pronoun? Did she hide it in front of her sister?
(B-B-But still!?)
”No buts. Since we’re doing it, I’ll train you thoroughly. You don’t want to be treated as a part-timer forever, right?”
(Ah… Yes, ssu.)
I look her straight in the eyes, cutting into the depression deep in her heart. Being looked down upon among sisters might be her character role, but there’s no way she wants that. In past works, this girl worked hard, cried every time she messed up and caused trouble. Most characters involved were annoyed by it, and I’m probably the same.
But that’s no reason to make her efforts meaningless.
If my presence can really interfere and cure ‘Yohira’s other sister’ of her clumsy girl nature, I’ll give it my all.
”Once again, I’m taking charge of your general housework education. I won’t say ‘trust me’ with total confidence, but let’s find out together why you keep messing up.”
(Y-Yes, ssu!!)
She answered energetically. The ear-like hair on her head twitched with excitement… Seriously, what is that thing?
”For now, tomorrow we’ll act as usual and I’ll check your level of clumsiness. I’ve already resigned myself to the sacrifice of several dishes.”
(Ugh, I’m sorry for the trouble, ssu…)
She apologized with slumped shoulders. She hasn’t even made a mistake yet, so it’s fine. When I patted her head—she has such low self-esteem—she looked at me with wonder. She’s kind of like a child.
Having decided on the immediate policy, the meeting adjourned. Ethelena returned to her room, looking complicated upon learning Tatia had rented a room. I considered lending my room and sleeping in the workshop, but Ethelena and Tatia decided to share. As for ‘Yohira’s other sister’, she ended up sleeping on the living room sofa. I wondered if that was okay, but she said it was fluffier and easier to sleep on than her bed at home… What kind of environment does she usually sleep in?
That was ‘Yohira’s other sister’ for you, but right now she was in the workshop with me. Immediately after entering, she tripped and nearly took a header, but I moved fast enough to catch her. For some reason, I got the feeling her current stats were lower than mine.
”Uu… I am sorry-desu,” she whispered.
”I think you just caught your foot on the doorframe,” I said.
I had to analyze why she kept falling and come up with some kind of countermeasure. Unless I corrected the root cause of her clumsiness, this would never end.
”So, um… why did you call me here?” she asked.
”Don’t be so on guard. I have a few reasons, but first, let’s talk about your weapon,” I replied.
”My… weapon?”
As she stared back with a blank expression, I explained that I was making weapons for all the sisters. That seemed to satisfy her. Well, for everyone except ‘Archangel’, I was technically fulfilling requests.
”In that case… I want something that turns people into light just by touching them!” she chirped.
”I think that’s more in ‘Chef’s’ wheelhouse,” I said.
Whatever she was imagining – the finger of a god of destruction or a sub-light speed fist – if I gave something like that to her now, the planet would probably end.
”Then how about something that accelerates to boost my punching power?” she asked.
”Wouldn’t you just trip before you hit the enemy?” I pointed out.
I wondered which legendary fist she was referencing. It was a staple of a man’s education, so I personally loved the idea, but that kind of weapon was the peak of straight-ahead destruction. It required massive skill, timing, and guts to pull off.
Thinking about it, her weapon was a tough nut to crack. Unlike the other ‘Poster Girls’, her skill wasn’t a given. ‘Archangel’ had her status as the strongest swordswoman, and ‘Seisouchou’ had her spear techniques derived from her broom-handling. In contrast, ‘Yohira’s other sister’ had ‘Hand-to-Hand Aptitude’ back in the game, but her growth was painfully slow. I’d tried every weapon type on her, but the results were always the same. To put it bluntly, she had zero talent for combat. Her only unique move scaled with her Luck; if it landed, it could one-shot the ‘Sword Demon Lord’ himself. But that didn’t translate to actual fighting ability. I felt it might be better to ditch raw attack power and give her a Conceptual Weapon with a guaranteed-hit effect.
”Uu… I’m useless-desu…” she whimpered.
”It’s just a lack of combat talent. You’ve still got good bones,” I said, patting her shoulder. “Let’s set the weapon aside for a minute.”
”Okay-desu…” she muttered.
If this were a game portrait, she’d have had massive cartoon tears. In reality, a single tear tracked down her cheek. Honestly, I couldn’t help but feel for her. I gently wiped the tear away and rubbed her head. She didn’t pull away, leaning into the touch like a small dog… though unlike Ichika, she really does feel like a pampered pup.
”Already seducing your own sister, Mr. Smooth?” a voice asked.
”The name’s Tatara… wait,” I snapped.
I turned toward the voice to find ‘Chef’ puffing out her cheeks with a judgmental look. And then –
”Hehehe! I’m so happy to see you two getting along, Tatara-san!”
’Archangel’ was there with a beaming smile, while ‘Seisouchou’ stood quietly beside her. It was the full lineup of the ‘Poster Girls’.
”Is this a full assembly? Did something happen?” I asked, a mix of confusion and slight dread hitting me.
”No, no problems at all,” ‘Archangel’ replied.
”Then why the crowd… is it the figures?” I asked.
”Jackpot!”
’Archangel’ lunged forward and hugged me. She was a bit smaller than Ethelena but definitely softer than Ichika, and she pressed that sensation right into my face. Her skinship was getting way too intense.
”It’s finally time for the youngest sister’s turn! With this, the set is complete!”
’Archangel’ squeezed me tight. She was so strong I couldn’t even wiggle. With her chest crushed against me through her clothes, my nose and mouth were blocked. I was actually suffocating.
”Sister… if you keep that up, you’re going to kill ‘Tarashi-sama’ from suffocation,” ‘Seisouchou’ noted.
”Feh?”
’Seisouchou’s’ intervention saved me. Released from that soft, heavenly prison, I took a ragged breath. God, air is wonderful.
”Ah! I am so sorry, Tatara-san!”
”No, it’s fine… I’m just glad I can still breathe,” I wheezed.
My brain was probably oxygen-deprived, which explained the weird answer. I thought I caught a really nice scent for a second, but I shoved the thought aside before it could take root.
”Well then, let’s get to the usual crafting,” I said.
”Yes, please!” ‘Archangel’ cheered.
I turned back to ‘Yohira’s other sister’. She flinched for a second but didn’t run, staring straight back at me. I pulled a Mithril Ingot from my inventory and activated ‘Crafting’, pouring the mental image into the metal. In less than ten seconds, the ingot transformed into a perfect likeness of her.
The figure captured the moment she tripped: hands thrust forward, right leg kicked back, left foot sliding sideways. She had a crying face, and – as expected of a panty-shot figure – her underwear featured some bizarre little creature.
It was a classic ‘Complete Gallery’ shot from the game. She was supposed to be holding a bouquet, but she’d thrown it as she fell, sending flowers dancing through the scene. It was born from her clumsiness, but I’d always liked how the petals framed the shot. Thinking of that memory, I reached out and patted the girl’s head.
”Muu… ‘Tarashi-san’, why are you patting her head now?” ‘Chef’ asked, sounding genuinely annoyed.
”I don’t know. It just felt like the right place to put my hand,” I said.
There wasn’t a deep meaning to it; it was just a reflex. ‘Chef’s’ expression soured even more as she stepped forward and shoved her own head toward me.
”Then do me too!”
”Wait, was this always your character, ‘Chef’?” I asked.
Since she was protesting, I gave her head a rub as well. Her annoyance vanished instantly, replaced by a smug, triumphant grin. It was almost cute, but the smugness was grating, so I messed her hair up a bit more roughly. I felt a joyful ‘Kyaa!’ in her thoughts. Then the younger sister started chiming in with “Me too! Me too!” so I ended up patting them both. They both looked like a mess, but they were laughing.
”You really are the best of friends!” ‘Archangel’ laughed.
She was watching us with a look of pure delight, clutching the new figure of her sister to her chest. I recalled the promise I’d made her and finally pulled my hands away from the two girls. I ignored their disappointed looks and pulled out a fresh Mithril Ingot.
”Hey, ‘Archangel’.”
”Yes? What is it?”
”You mentioned wanting a figure in a different style. What did you have in mind?”
She tilted her head, looking startled before sinking into deep thought. Was it really that hard a question?
”A different style of figure…?” she mused.
”Come to think of it, when you made my figure, you said it was to distract her,” ‘Chef’ reminded us. It was surprising she remembered that so clearly, considering it was probably a bad memory for her.
”What exactly were you envisioning, ‘Tarashi-sama’?” ‘Seisouchou’ asked.
”Just Tatara. Anyway, when I promised her, I was thinking of an action figure. Something where the wings and sword can actually transform and combine. I’ll make the joints articulated so you can pose it however you want,” I explained.
”Wait, I want one of those too!” ‘Chef’ chimed in.
The younger sister wasn’t part of the conversation, but she was busy rubbing her head against my back like a literal dog.
Ignoring the distracted ‘Archangel’, ‘Chef’ and I started geeking out over action figure quality. We debated the human range of motion versus what to simplify. Should we use swappable faceplates for expressions? Ball-jointed fingers or swappable wrists? How close should the base body be to the real thing? We got pretty heated. Though, if I wanted to be truly accurate with the base body, I’d have to see ‘Archangel’s’ naked body, so I decided to scrap that part of the plan.
”I want that figure set you made for her – the one with the ‘Gagaga’ weapon – turned into an action figure,” ‘Chef’ said.
”I can do that. But what’s my reward?”
”Muu… how about a home-cooked lunch?”
”Wait, the tea you made me before was incredible, so my expectations are through the roof now… you sure about that?” I asked.
In the game, ‘Chef’s Boxed Lunch’ was a legendary item. It was the only thing that could revive a fallen unit mid-stage – essentially bringing the dead back to life. It was the ultimate support buff. I definitely wanted that. But even without the game mechanics, I just really wanted to taste her cooking.
”It’s no trouble at all to cook for you, Tatara-san. I’ll even take requests,” she offered.
”That’s a hell of an offer… but I’ll stick with your specialty,” I said.
”That’s actually a harder request…”
For a cook, ‘anything is fine’ is a total landmine. But since I’d asked for her specialty, she seemed okay.
”Let’s see… the classics,” she muttered to herself. “Fried chicken, mini-hamburgers, scrambled eggs, potato salad, and cherry tomatoes. Oh, I should add some lettuce too – presentation is key. For the starch, since you’re from another world, rice would be best… maybe with a sprinkle of sesame? A nori-bento sounds good, but if I’m using seaweed, maybe some easy-to-eat rice balls would be better?”
She was lost in her own world, planning it out. It was a standard menu, but it sounded amazing. I caught myself salivating. The lineup was full of all the things I’d loved as a kid. I could see how much thought she was putting into it.
”By the way, what exactly is your specialty, ‘Chef’?”
”Everything I make is my specialty,” she replied.
”That’s… terrifyingly impressive.”

Summary:
Seisouchou visits Tatara to foist her clumsy younger sister, Yohira, onto him for education. She reveals that as beings bound by ‘World Laws,’ the angels cannot interfere with Yohira’s growth, but Tatara, as an ‘Anomaly,’ can. Tatara eventually accepts after being blackmailed with information about the Archangel’s secret efforts to protect his peace.
Tatara learns his true destiny involves clearing the deepest part of the ‘Whirlwind’ dungeon and destroying a Demon Lord’s corpse to prevent the world’s end. He accepts the burden but is troubled to find out his future child is originally meant to inherit this task. Amidst this cosmic dread, he takes in the youngest of the ‘Poster Girls’ to train her as a maid, despite her catastrophic clumsiness.
Tatara meets with the youngest sister in his workshop and crafts a custom Mithril figure of her. The rest of the ‘Poster Girls’ gather, leading to a comedic moment of physical intimacy and suffocation by Archangel. The group then pivots into a deep technical discussion about the production of high-quality articulated action figures.

Character Insight:
Seisouchou shows a ruthless, pragmatic side by being willing to break her sister’s spirit for efficiency, while Tatara continues to struggle against his ‘fate’ as a game protagonist.
Tatara shows a protective/paternal side by refusing to let his future child inherit a cursed destiny, choosing to shoulder the burden himself. He also demonstrates genuine empathy for the clumsy sister, seeing past her ‘dojikko’ trope to the underlying effort and low self-esteem.
Chef shows a more competitive and domestic side, using her legendary cooking skills to bond with Tatara. Archangel’s obsession with sister-related merchandise is a primary driver for her actions.

Behind the Scenes:
The term ‘Anomaly’ (Yuragi) often refers to glitches or player-character freedom in meta-fiction narratives.
The ’72 Sovereigns of the Abyss’ is a direct reference to the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia. The use of ‘Boku’ for the youngest sister is a common ‘bokukko’ trope in Japanese media, often used for energetic or tomboyish younger characters.
The ‘panty-shot’ figure description is a direct reference to late 90s/early 2000s bishoujo game tropes where ‘complete gallery’ unlocks featured such fanservice.
