The day after I finally became friends with Nana.
To check the performance of my new job skill ‘Location Swapping’ I learned at level 3 of my job ‘Link Master’, I decided to have a fun practical test in my family’s garden with me, Rumi, and Nana.
The 3 of us stood at 3 corners of the garden. I activated ‘Location Swapping’ and at the same time I teleported to each of their positions, checking if the person who was there swapped to where I was before the teleport.
”Okay, I’m going to activate my new job skill ‘Location Swapping’! You might feel a bit weird when the scenery suddenly changes, but please bear with me for a bit!”
”Okay! First, I’m swapping with you, right? I’m so excited! You can go anytime!”
Rumi’s smile is really charming.
I can’t help but smile back.
I quickly activate ‘Location Swapping.’
Right after that, I stand where Rumi was!
And Rumi is now standing where I was!
…Success!!
I don’t feel any weirdness from the sudden change in scenery.
I call out to Rumi.
”Rumi──! Do you feel any weirdness? If anything happens, it would help if you could tell me as detailed as possible!”
”I’m okay! But, you know, if I suddenly end up in a different place while moving, I might get surprised and fall over, right?”
Rumi seems to be fine too.
But, as Rumi said, I need to announce when I’m going to use this skill in advance.
”Got it! I’ll let you know before I use this skill! Now, I’m going to switch to Nana! Nana, if you need anything, just let me know!”
”Okay! Brother Rob! I’m ready anytime!”
My angel (little sister) is super cute today too.
I can’t help but smile.
I hold back the drool that’s about to come out.
I activate ‘Location Swapping’ for the second time.
Right after that, I stand where Nana was!
And Nana is now standing where I was!
…Success again!!
Just like last time, I don’t feel any weirdness after the teleportation.
I call out to Nana.
”Nana──! Do you feel any weirdness? If anything happens, please let me know!”
”I’m fine too! Next, let’s try using ‘Location Swapping’ while moving!”
Nana cheerfully suggests.
Her smile is really bright, and it makes my heart skip a beat!
I decide to go along with Nana’s suggestion.
”Okay! Then, let’s practice as if we’re in a real battle! Both of you, gather around me!”
I call Rumi and Nana over and move on to the next test.
Feeling nervous, I decide to have a 2-person party with me and Nana against Rumi as the enemy.
”Okay, first, Rumi and Nana will fight with wooden swords. During their battle, I’ll use ‘Location Swapping’ to switch places with Nana.”
”Understood! Brother Rob, please watch us~♪”
Nana says confidently.
”Got it, Rob! …It feels strange to be enemies with you.”
Rumi shyly smiles and says.
And so, the serious match between the beautiful girl Rumi and the cute little girl Nana begins.
”Alright, Ms. Rumi, here I go! Please don’t be surprised by my ultimate sword skills!”
”Hehe… Nanna, now is the time for my secret technique to shine!”
(…Both of them haven’t even reached skill level 1 in swordsmanship, right…)
*Clang! Clang! Clang!*
As I watch, the two start their duel with wooden swords.
Rumi, who has a much better status, seems to be in the lead.
(Ah, Nana is getting tired and her movements are slowing down. It’s about time to switch.)
I activate ‘Thought Sharing’ and communicate with Nana.
(Nana, I’m switching in.)
(Ah, okay!)
I activate ‘Location Swapping.’
Just as Nana is about to get hit on the head with a wooden sword, I switch places!
I manage to put my wooden sword in between just before it hits her head.
Bam! The sound of the wooden swords clashing echoed.
”Alright… for now, we managed to switch places while a teammate was being attacked. Nana, how was that?”
I smiled and asked Nana.
Nana happily dashed towards me and hugged me tightly!
For a moment, I felt like I turned to stone and couldn’t move.
(Hehe, that was a big success! …This is fun, Brother Rob!)
(Y-Yeah! From now on, let’s do a lot of things together!)
(Like… naughty things too?)
Nana’s words pierced my heart.
To be honest, in a few years, Nana will grow into my ideal type of girl.
Since we’re siblings, it’s definitely not okay to make a move!
This world’s god (was it Goddess Vanessa?) has put me through some serious trials!
(Well, we’re siblings, so doing something naughty… is, um, not possible, right?)
(…Brother, please answer honestly. Do you want to do something naughty with me?)
Nana asked me with a serious look in her eyes.
(Ugh… Do I really have to answer?)
I was at a loss for words.
”Geez! You two being close is nice and all, but don’t leave me out!”
At that moment, Rumi, looking cute but a bit upset, ran over to me and Nana.
(Hmph… Please tell me later, Brother Rob~♪)
(Oh, okay, I got it, Nana.)
Nana’s attitude towards me changed completely, and I felt my heart racing.
I wonder what kind of future awaits us; my feelings were a mix of excitement and anxiety.

Now that I finished testing my new skill, I decided to start training in time-space magic.
From here on, it would be a complete solo challenge.
I read the magic book about time-space magic that Mom gave me from cover to cover, but the content was super hard.
To be honest, I just skimmed through it, and I understood way less than I didn’t.
I had to gradually expand my understanding from beginner to intermediate, and then to advanced, while asking Mom questions over and over, taking it one step at a time.
Mom told me, “Rob, you might just barely manage it.”
I shouldn’t expect to pick it up easily like I did with other attributes.
Right now, the time-space magic I can use is only the beginner magic, levels one to 3.
Here is the list of usable magic.
First Rank ‘Time Slow’: The enemy’s action speed decreases for a moment, allowing you to change your timing for attacks or dodges.
Second Rank ‘Time Echo’: You can observe the actions the enemy just took, and based on that information, you can decide your next move.
Third Rank ‘Step Warp’: You can instantly move within 3 meters, helping you avoid surprise attacks or change your position.
Time-space magic consumes more MP from the first level than other types.
This explains why Mom made the Magic Power organ conditionally subspace.
All of these magics are very useful in battle, so I can’t wait for the upcoming fights!
