 ”Alright, let’s go look for some monsters!”

 After finishing my training for today with Mom and Dad, I had some free time, so I secretly came to the nearby forest to kill some time.

 Magic Power detection activated. I wonder if there are any enemies nearby…

 (Hmm…?)

 A slightly larger Magic Power is chasing a weak Magic Power.

 I decided to go check it out.

 (? Perspective)

 ”Ha… ha… ha…”

 The girl was running through the forest, out of breath.

 I could hear the rough breathing of goblins behind her.

 The trees around her swayed in the wind, and the sunset was shining through.

 ”Help meee~! No, no, nooo~!”

 The girl screamed desperately.

 The goblins’ hands were getting closer.

 I could hear their laughter, and their eyes were fierce and wild.

 The girl kept running away, crying and screaming.

 ”Is there anyone… who can help meee~!”

 (Rob’s Perspective)

 I heard the girl’s scream and quickly used wind magic to rush over.

 …There are 4 goblins surrounding a girl who looks about my age.

 *Boom!*

 I landed right in front of the girl.

 ”Eek!”

 The girl was surprised by my sudden appearance, and the goblins were startled too.

 The goblins panicked and turned to run away, scared of my Magic Power…

 *Bang! Bang!*

 I took down two of them with compressed water bullets, and soon they were all defeated.

 ”…Um, are you okay?”

 The girl smiled at me cautiously after watching the goblins fall.

 She looked quite surprised.

 It’s no wonder, considering I suddenly appeared and wiped out the goblins in an instant.

 ”Uh, um… thank you…”

 The girl expressed her gratitude but quickly looked away.

 I tilted my head in confusion and tried to speak to her again.

 ”…? Are you okay?”

 Her face turned red, and she suddenly faced me, shouting.

 ”Y-you’re so loud! I-I was totally fine! …I just needed a little help… Hmph!”

 (Hmm, she’s such a classic tsundere…)

 With her brown twin tails and cocoa-colored eyes, she was a cute girl wearing a pink outfit.

 I tried to talk to her with a smile so she wouldn’t be on guard.

 ”Well, you scraped your legs and arms a bit. I’ll heal you, so just stay still for a moment.”

 I used healing magic to fix her wounds.

 (This is the first time I’ve used it on someone else… Looks like the wounds are closed up properly.)

 The girl shyly accepted my healing magic and showed a slightly happy expression.

 But she quickly changed her attitude and spoke up.

 ”Y-you didn’t need to heal me! I-I’m always full of energy! …I-I’m not grateful or anything!”

 With her face as red as her ears, she said that and looked away from me again.

 ”Why did you come here alone, in a place with such monsters?”

 (Affection Insight activated… Affection level 60. Her words seem harsh, but this is… definitely a tsundere!)

 I could tell she was here to gather something since she was holding a basket, but it was way too dangerous for a girl to be alone.

 Almost, this beautiful girl was about to be eaten by goblins in many ways…

 The girl blushed at my question, showing a slightly troubled expression.

 I was a bit happy that she felt worried about her danger, but she still spoke with a strong attitude.

 ”Uh, um… I wanted to do it myself! I’m fine on my own! …I-I’m always strong!”

 The girl said that, trying to act tough in front of me.

 I smiled at her.

 ”Okay. But next time, don’t go into the forest alone. Come with an adult who can fight.”

 The girl was acting brave, but she was shaking a little.

 She must have been really scared.

 Then, I picked her up in a princess carry.

 ”Alright. I’ll carry you to the village. It’s going to get dark soon.”

 The girl, being carried like a princess, was a bit confused but held onto me tightly.

 Her face turned even redder, and she was flustered.

 ”Uh, um… I-I don’t mind being carried like this! …Ah, it’s just that walking is a hassle, so it’s okay if you carry me the whole way!”

 The girl was hiding her embarrassment by gently placing her small hands on my back.

 I held her and used wind magic to fly into the air.

 ”Aaaah!?”

 The girl was surprised and clung to me tightly.

 ”I’ll get you to Grove village quickly.”

 (…It was my first battle with a monster, but the goblins were so weak that it didn’t feel real.)

 I quickly flew out of the forest and landed in the central square of Grove village.

 ”I didn’t introduce myself yet. I’m Rob Cartwood, just call me Rob. What’s your name?”

 ”Hehe, Rob, you’re surprisingly strong! I’m feeling safe! …Oh, my name is Rumi! Nice to meet you from now on!”

 ”Yeah, Rumi. So, Rumi, would you like to be my friend? It’s okay whenever you’re free, but I want you to play with me!”

 I thought I should help this cute girl a little so she can be okay going into the forest alone.

 Rumi smiled brightly and leaned forward a bit as she said,

 ”Hehe, friends… huh. I, Rumi, will be your playmate! But, you can’t spoil me, okay?”

 (Yay! I got a beautiful childhood friend!)

 I was thinking that with a serious expression.

 ”So, when you have free time to play, or when we go to the forest again, will you come to my house? That’s my house over there.”

 I pointed to my house to show Rumi.

 (Rumi’s affection for me is 80… isn’t that a bit too easy?)

 Rumi looked a bit confused by my words but showed a happy expression.

 ”…Okay. I, Rumi, will sometimes be your playmate! …But, you can’t come to my house, okay?”
