Volume 2 Chapter 17-2 Various Adventurers

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

”I’ll give it a try. Mooluum, Air Impetus!”

With Lifia’s magic, an invisible ball of air shoots out.

It tears through the mist, and for a moment, a path appears, but it quickly vanishes into the fog.

”No good… The mist and the threads around are blocking it, so it can’t reach the spider.”

Lifia mutters sadly, then puts away her magic and readies her bow.

 ”Mooluum, Ex-Dux!”

As the arrow leaves the string, it speeds into the mist with the power of magic.

I listen closely, but no sound comes back from beyond the fog.

 ”How was that?”

”I hit it. But… it seems like the power isn’t enough this time.”

Lifia replies, her shoulders drooping, looking a bit down.

Even in that moment, Lifia is cute.

”Well, maybe we should give up on the spider.”

If we move carefully, we won’t get caught in the web.

I decide there’s no need to force it and say so.

But at my words, Lifia lifts her head.

 Her eyes shine with determination.

”No, please let me try just a little more!”

 ”Hmm? That’s fine, but…”

I agree, surprised for a moment.

But what does she plan to do?

Lifia closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, starting to focus.

In the next moment, she begins to weave a spell with her words.

 ”Mooluumve, my spirit…!”

I can’t hide my surprise at those words.

 A 5-letter Spirit Magic?

Lifia had used 5-letter magic before, but it was just a rough way to blow away enemies.

 But this time, it’s a long-range shot.

 It needs precise control.

 Can she really do it?

Spirit Magic gets stronger with more letters.

But that also puts a huge strain on the caster.

Can Lifia handle a 5-letter Spirit Magic right now?

Watching Lifia, her expression is tense, and sweat beads on her forehead.

I can tell she’s focusing all her energy.

And then, the spell is complete.

 ”Pierce the prey! Air Impetus!”

Lifia stretched out her arm and cast a spell.

 Boom!

As the gust of wind spread, the mist and leaves on the line of fire were swept away.

The blue sky peeked through where the wind had passed.

I wondered if there’s blue sky inside the dungeon──that weird feeling that doesn’t quite fit.

But soon, more fog flowed into that blue sky, covering it again in white.

I can’t see the spider I’m aiming at.

In the next moment, Lifia wobbled as if she might fall.

 I hurriedly caught her.

 ”No, I can’t… one more time…!”

Lifia forced herself to stand, swaying, and tried to use magic again.

 ”Hey, stop.”

I grabbed her shoulder to stop her.

But Lifia, stubborn, stared at me with determined eyes.

Still, her tired face made it clear she was almost out of strength.

”Lifia, there’s no need to force kill the spider. Don’t push yourself.”

I said softly, trying to reassure her, but she bit her lip and looked down.

 She didn’t seem convinced.

 ”It’s no good, Master…”

Her voice was small, like she was softly squeezing out the words.

”Not just the spider, but other monsters too──at this moment, I can’t defeat them properly. Even if an adventurer aiming for Master shows up, I probably can’t do anything. I can only use Spirit Magic…”

Her eyes, as she spoke, were full of anxiety and frustration.

”Ms. Tifi is working hard at the guild for you, Master. She probably wants to stay with you too. But I, who’s near you, am useless…”

It’s true that Tifi’s info helped a lot in this exploration.

But for Lifia, that fact seems to make her feel more worthless.

”Lifia, that’s not true. You’re doing enough.”

I said seriously, but Lifia shook her head.

 ”But… to help Master… hnmm!?”

Before those words finished, I pulled her closer and covered her lips with mine.

Surprised, Lifia’s eyes widened at the sudden thing th

I held Lifia close, continuing our kiss.

Our tongues intertwined, deep and passionate.

Wet, lewd sounds echoed through the forest.

 ”Mm, nchu, nnn…”

I slipped my hand under her mini skirt, squeezing her cute buttocks.

 ”Nnn!?”

After a while of deep kissing and caressing, Lifia’s body jerked and trembled violently.

 ”Mm, nnn-uuu!”

She climaxed from the kisses and butt massages.

 ”Phaa… haa, haa… Master, what…?”

As I pulled away, Lifia looked confused.

Her flushed face panted heavily, tears glistening in her eyes.

I kept my hand on her shoulder, speaking softly.

 ”Calm down now?”

Lifia replied in a shy, small voice.

 ”Y-yes…”

I looked directly into her eyes and continued.

”Lifia, your body is mine. I won’t let anyone harm it.”

Her face froze in surprise, then flushed red.

 ”Yes.”

Her cheeks glowing, she stared at me.

”No need to rush. Take it step by step, figure out what you can do, and grow gradually.”

 I spoke gently.

 ”Yes, Master.”

Lifia nodded slightly, relaxing her shoulders.

A hint of brightness returned to her face.

”First, master four-letter Spirit Magic. Focus on control, not power. That’s enough.”

”Got it! I’ll try my best!”

 Lifia replied firmly.

Confidence sparkled in her eyes again.

We began her magic training in the forest.

She practiced four-letter spells repeatedly, and I watched, offering advice.

”Lifia, hold back more. Precision is key, not power.”

 ”Yes!”

A gentle breeze swirled as her magic accuracy improved.

Lifia smiled, wiping sweat from her brow, feeling her progress.

After a few hours, including breaks, Lifia suddenly reacted to something.

”Master, the trio… the Fang of Lead.”

 Lifia speaks seriously.

 ”They’ve come.”

It seems they have caught wind of us.

 ”Lifia, are you ready?”

 ”Yes, Master!”

As the enemy approaches, we quietly begin our actions.
