Volume 4 Chapter 14 White Rice and Miso Soup
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
The ten heroes who attacked us got wiped out thanks to my plans.
It was more like they did it to themselves, really.
And from that group, I picked up one and killed another.
The one I killed was their leader guy.
The one I picked up was a girl used as bait, Togaki Yomi.
She got abandoned by her buddies as bait for Hitchcock.
But she was quick on her feet, hiding underground to ride out the chaos.
Surviving in that mess wasn’t just luck; she had to be smart.
I picked up her nearly dead body, treated her, and kept her safe in this Love Hotel room.
And when she woke up, as expected, she was in major chaos.
”What the hell!! Why are you two having s*x right in front of me!?”
Yomi clutched the blanket on the bed, her voice rising in anger.
Her face was flushed with shame.
I was having s*x with Lifia in the Love Hotel’s bathroom,
making sure she could see it.
For a shy virgin addicted to ma***rbation, it must’ve been a big shock.
”Why am I even in this Love Hotel!?”
Words mixed with anger and confusion flowed out endlessly.
”Anyway, why did we have to come to this dungeon!? What’s a hero anyway!? The royal castle people should fight for themselves!!”
She started throwing out comments unrelated to the situation.
”How is it even possible for a school trip to lead to another world!? I just… don’t understand… anything…!!”
She screamed and screamed, and finally, tears started to spill.
She must have been holding a lot in.
Her shoulders shook slightly, the blanket she gripped twisted in her hands.
It’s no wonder.
Just a moment ago, she was in the plains, and now she found herself in a strange place──of all places, a Love Hotel room.
Life-threatening danger, betrayal from friends, being summoned to another world.
She must have been stretched to her limit.
”Milord… I’m feeling……”
Without sensing the mood at all, Kéa snuggled up to me.
Blushing, she rubbed her head against my shoulder.
”Are you joking!? I’m asking why you can do that kind of thing in front of people!”
Yomi’s fury bursts out as she screams loud on the bed.
Her eyes are all messy with tears and confusion.
”Calm down already,”
I try to soothe her with a calm voice, but she’s not gonna listen easy.
”You can’t just──”
”Wind, Fund it,”
Magic wind slapped Yomi’s forehead with a sharp pat.
”Ahh!?”
Yomi’s caught off guard, and she makes this weird sound by surprise.
Her eyes blink wide in shock.
”I get you’re confused, but first thing you gotta do is tell your Master what’s up.”
Lifia’s voice is soft and talking gentle, like she’s guiding her.
”Ugh…”
Yomi looks away, her eyes flicking around, trying to hide her feelings, like she’s fighting inside her head.
”You know what you gotta do, right?”
Lifia asks again, strict about how she acts towards me.
”Uh… well, uh…”
Yomi hesitates but then takes a breath like she’s decided something.
”Sorry for trying to attack you. And… thank you for helping me.”
She says it clear, even though she’s trembling, and I feel some peace come back in her.
Her shoulders drop, and that tense air from before fades away.
”Looks like you’ve got the tension out of you system for now.”
I breathe out.
”Huh? Did you do it on purpose just to make me relax?”
Yomi’s eyes go wide, her face surprised as she looks at me.
She seems to think that I was messing around with Lifia and Kéa just to loosen her up.
”Yeah, kinda.”
I shrug lightly.
”…I see, that’s right.”
Yomi looks a bit annoyed, but her cheeks turn a little red.
She probably doesn’t even realize her smile has showed up unconsciously.
And no, that’s a lie.
She forgot she was even pretending.
Kéa couldn’t do this trick either.
Lifia’s probably seen through what’s going on inside my head, ’cause she’s smiling warmly.
”Anyway, I’m Aisuku Taro.”
Might as well say my name again, even if she won’t remember it.
Actually, she probably never got the chance to really know it from the start.
”Um… Togaki Yomi…”
Yomi hesitated a bit, then softly said her name.
Of course, her name was already known in the Love Hotel’s system.
There was no need to say it now.
”Anyway, let’s get back to the story.”
I turned my tone serious again.
”I know you opposed attacking me. I understand you didn’t have the power to stop the other hero. So, I forgive you for attacking me back then.”
I kept speaking calmly.
”But what about how you feel?”
”What do you mean…?”
Yomi asked back, uncertain.
”I tricked you all. I didn’t check every one, but some of you are definitely dead.”
Everyone should be dead, and I finished off the last one myself.
But there’s no need to say that.
”They were your classmates, right? How do you feel about me making them die?”
As I looked at her, Yomi slightly lowered her eyes.
”…Do you hate me?”
Silence filled the room.
Yomi bit her lip softly, her eyes full of hesitation as she seemed to be deep in thought.
”…I don’t know.”
Eventually, Yomi quietly replied.
”I don’t think I hate… you.”
Her voice was shaky, but she didn’t force it out.
”We weren’t exactly close classmates to begin with… and after coming to this world, I’ve been called ‘useless’ and treated badly by everyone.”
Smiling faintly, Yomi continued quietly, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
”You’re not planning to revenge, right?”
”No. Mr. Aisuku helped me, and I still haven’t repaid it.”
Her words were certain.
I looked at Lifia beside me.
The Spirit Magic she used could even sense the fluttering feelings inside people.
She had the power to read true feelings and lies.
Lifia returned her gaze and nodded slightly.
Looks like she wasn’t lying.
”Alright, then that’s fine. I’ll believe you.”
So, maybe I could trust and accept her.
”Thank you very much. So, Mr. Aisuku… this place…”
Grrrr~~.
Yomi’s words were suddenly cut off by a noise.
The source was Yomi’s stomach.
”…!”
Yomi turned bright red in an instant, panicking as she clutched her belly.
The girl who was crying and angry just a moment ago now blushes with shame.
That gap almost made me want to laugh.
”For now, let’s eat.”
I couldn’t help but grin bitterly as I opened the room service menu on my phone.
Yomi, blushing deep red, cast her eyes down and muttered in a small voice.
”…Is it okay?”
Hearing her shy voice, I shrugged lightly and answered.
”Yeah, I also want to ask you something.”
”Thank you very much…”
Those words spilled out softly, like a sign that the tension and anger from earlier had loosened a little.
But she quickly realized something, a worried look flashing on her face.
”Um… so, what about my clothes…”
Right now, Yomi was just a status of being n*ked, wrapped in a blanket.
The clothes she wore had been taken off by me for treatment.
They were torn apart and useless after Hitchcock attacked and shredded them.
Already thrown away.
”Better to lend her something to cover herself.”
”Okay.”
I called out to Lifia, and she took out her white shirt and handed it to Yomi.
Yomi hesitated but accepted it.
”Here you go.”
”Thank you.”
Yomi hugged the shirt tightly to her chest, still blushing, eyes darting around nervously.
