One of the boys points at Kéa and Lifia and asks.
His face is full of curiosity.
He looks like he wants to lick their bodies all over.
”So cute!”
”Those boobs are way too erotic!”
”That crotch tattoo is insane!”
The others also get excited, staring at the two of them however they like.
Kéa looks away in annoyance, while Lifia stands like she wants to hide behind me.
”They’re my teammates. We’re on an adventure together.”
When I say that, the boys tilt their heads even more.
”Even if you say they’re your teammates, there’s no way a cute girl like that would hang out with a guy like you! How did you pull it off?”
I let out a sigh inside as the boys crowd closer to me.
”Just leave us alone. We want to move on.”
”Hey, come on, you can’t go ahead like that. It’s fine if you die, but don’t drag those girls into it.”
The boys stop us from going to the 3rd Floor.
It’s true, only high-level adventurers can usually operate in the dungeon’s 3rd Floor.
”Why are you hanging out with such a lame old guy?”
One of the heroes speaks to Lifia and the others in a clearly mocking tone.
”Are you maybe being blackmailed or something? That outfit looks like it was forced on you by that old guy, right?”
Hearing that, Lifia and Kéa change color.
Lifia looks surprised for a moment, then her brows furrow in anger.
Meanwhile, Kéa is already clenching her fists, ready to throw a punch.
”Yeah, we’ll help you out. We’ll free you from this old guy. We’re heroes, after all. I think it’s wrong for cute girls like you to be stuck with someone like him.”
”If you were bought, I’ll just buy you back.”
”Yeah, we’ll take good care of you in bed!”
The boys confidently shout that, looking back and forth at Lifia and Kéa.
Their gazes 0 in on Kéa’s chest and butt, and Lifia’s thighs.
”Don’t mess with us!”
Lifia raises her voice, glaring at the heroes.
It’s rare for her to show this much emotion; she’s usually so reserved.
”Master helped me. This outfit is a sign of how much Master cares for me!”
”Like hell we’d ask for help from the likes of you!”
Kéa shouted back, not willing to back down.
”Milord helped me too. He didn’t just save my life, he gave me the strength of a knight!”
Kéa’s golden eyes sparkled, and the boys took a step back.
But one brave hero still wouldn’t back down.
”You really believe that? He’s not just brainwashing you, right? Making you dress like that is pretty messed up, isn’t it?”
I sighed inwardly and opened my mouth.
”Did you even listen to them? I don’t force them to do anything. And about the outfits, they choose to wear them.”
The two nodded at my words.
Yeah, they want to wear these outfits.
At least, for now.
The heroes scowled at my calm response.
”Hmph, fine then. You’ll regret it for sure.”
”I thought about comforting you if you cried, but oh well.”
”Being a hero is more of a hassle than it’s worth sometimes.”
”Can’t just force things when people are watching, you know.”
A sinister voice threw out some unfriendly words from behind.
At that provocation, Lifia and Kéa’s feet stopped for a moment, but I just shook my head calmly.
”Don’t worry about it. It’s a waste of time.”
I said in a low voice, and they nodded silently, starting to walk again.
We descended the stairs to the 3rd Floor in silence.
I could feel the boys’ gaze piercing into my back.
Ignoring the obvious irritation and jealousy, I kept walking.
Halfway down, Lifia let out a small sigh.
”Why do they say such things?”
Her voice was filled with confusion and a hint of anger.
”It’s not rare for someone to hold a grudge against someone who has what they can’t get.”
They’re jealous of beautiful girls like Lifia and Kéa.
It’s only natural to be envied.
But it still doesn’t feel good.
”They’re just a bunch of nobodies.”
Kéa doesn’t hide her discomfort.
”But I have no obligation to deal with them. No matter what they say, staying out of it is best for us.”
”But I can’t stand it when they talk bad about Milord!”
Kéa looks really angry.
”I don’t care. You all know how great I am. That’s all I need.”
”Milord…! I’ll follow Milord for life!”
”Yes, I’ll always serve Master too!”
Kéa looks touched by my words.
Lifia looks happy.
We shake off the mood and move forward.
We go down the stairs and step into the entrance of the dungeon’s 3rd Floor.
An empty plain stretches out, and the air here feels oddly nice.
”I’m tired after everything today… Let’s just go back to the Love Hotel and rest.”
As I mutter this, Lifia and Kéa smile lightly, agreeing with me.
The heavy mood starts to fade a bit.
There are a lot of troublesome folks, but I think we can handle it.
With that in mind, we finally head through the door to the Love Hotel.
