Volume 4 Chapter 82 Cat Ear Training Plan

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

In the bedroom of the Love Hotel, I sat in silence, deep in thought.

What must I do to help Korukona grow stronger?

 That was the question.

The girl with cat ears—our newest ally.

She came from a fishing village by the sea, where she swam like no one else. Her sun-kissed skin and lean, athletic body made it clear—she had physical talent. Graceful movements. Quick reflexes. Her potential was obvious.

But… she had barely fought before. A few scuffles with weak monsters, nothing more.

To survive as a fighter in this world, she needed strength. And fast.

For that, she’d need a dungeon.

Only by defeating monsters would she build up her body. Facing danger, learning with each fight—there was no better path. But first, she needed weapons that fit her.

If I gave her something wrong for her style, it’d just slow her down.

Even now, the power of my “Love Hotel” skill proved useful.

I willed the menu to appear. A translucent panel floated up before my eyes, like a sci-fi screen from some movie.

I tapped on ‘Korukona’ from the list of users. Her current status came up.

 ──────────────────────────────

 Korukona (beastfolk)

 Skill: —

 Status: Healthy

 ──────────────────────────────

 Sexual Experience: 1 (Aisuku Taro)

Kiss Experience: 6 (Aisuku Taro 6)

 M*urbation Experience: 0

 Org*sm Experience: 8

 Oral Experience: 1

 ──────────────────────────────

 ”Huh,” I muttered, blinking.

 Zero for masturbation, huh…

Somewhere deep inside, a strange thought stirred.

I’d been with her more than once. Her first time, her first kiss, even taught her what pleasure meant.

And yet—she hadn’t done that alone even once?

My mind drifted off, imagining it. Her first time exploring that side herself.

Would it be better if she used her hand? Maybe a toy? A simple one? Or should I prepare something… more unique?

Would she feel embarrassed? Would she come ask me about it? What kind of face would she make?

 Wait—no. Not now.

 I shook the thought away.

Weapons. Focus on weapons. We can think about that other stuff… later tonight.

I tapped to open the weapon aptitude chart.

 ──────────────────────────────

 Weapon Aptitude

 Two-handed sword: △

 One-handed sword: ◯

 One-handed sword + shield: ×

 Dagger: ◯

 Spear: △

 Axe: ×

 Bow: ◯

 Magic: ×

 ──────────────────────────────

 Just as I thought.

A heavy, slow fighting style wouldn’t suit her. She needed speed—quick, nimble attacks, using her beastfolk agility.

One-handed swords, daggers, bows. Those made sense.

Not the kind to clash head-on like a knight. She’d slip past the enemy, strike fast, and move before they could react. That was her way.

I scrolled further down the menu. Maybe something more specific was listed.

 ──────────────────────────────

 Throwing Spear: ×

 Tomahawk: △

 Shuriken: ◎

 Throwing Knife: ◎

 Chakram: ◎

 Boomerang: 〇

 ──────────────────────────────

 There it was.

 Weapons that matched her perfectly.

Light, fast, and deadly from a distance—throwing weapons would let her dance around the battlefield, strike from unexpected angles, and disappear again.

Shuriken and throwing knives were ideal. Easy to carry, easy to use.

And the chakram… flashy, elegant, and exotic. It’d match her mysterious presence.

Alright. I’d ask Beckus and his team to make them—something custom, light, and deadly.

 Weapons worthy of her potential.

* * *

In one corner of the Love Hotel, we’d given a spare room to Beckus and his brother.

The place had been transformed into a blacksmith’s workshop.

Forges, anvils, tools everywhere—the scent of iron filled the air. It was hard to believe this place used to be a parking lot.

Beckus looked up, his face flushed from drink.

”Weapons for the little cat-eared lady?” he asked with a smirk, tilting his head.

I explained everything—the weapon aptitude data from the Love Hotel menu.

Shuriken, throwing knives, chakrams. Light, fast, sharp.

”Another odd one, huh,” Beckus muttered, stroking his beard.

Normal blacksmiths might hesitate at such an unusual request.

But Beckus was no ordinary blacksmith.

”Hah. Who do you think you’re talking to?” he said, puffing his chest with a laugh.

He grinned with confidence, the fire in his forge flickering behind him.

 The master was ready.

We left the weapon crafting in Beckus’s hands and set out for the dungeon. Our goal: gather materials and train Korukona.

”To be safe, we should start on the third floor… but maybe the second,” I murmured.

In the end, we chose the fourth.

Korukona had barely hunted monsters before, and it was her first time entering a dungeon. From a training perspective, it was a bit intense.

But anything lower wasn’t useful. The third floor didn’t offer materials valuable for weapon crafting or research. Starting from the fourth floor made the most sense for both training and gathering.

Of course, it wasn’t without risk. With Korukona’s current ability, the fourth floor was too much. By normal standards, it was a reckless decision.

But we weren’t a normal party. We’d already cleared the fifth floor. Even if Korukona slowed us down, it wouldn’t affect our progress too much. Rather, by challenging her limits, we could push her growth faster.

”I’ll be okay,” Korukona said, trying to sound brave. “I’ll do my best!”

Her dark-skinned cheeks flushed slightly as her ears drooped. Her tail wrapped gently around my leg.

It was adorable… but also a little heartbreaking.

Still, this was for her sake.

 Dungeon 4th Floor – Magic-Draining Snow Mountain

Just like the name said, it was a snow-covered mountain area, freezing and high in altitude. The air was thin, the terrain steep, and the snow here sapped magic from anything it touched. Both physical strength and spellcasting drained quickly.

When a blizzard rolled in, visibility dropped to zero. Monsters hid beneath the snow, ready to strike at any moment.

Many high-ranking adventurers had given up on this place. Without a secured safe zone, surviving here was close to impossible.

But we had an edge—my skill, Love Hotel.

It worked even here, allowing us to rest and warm up. For protection against the cold, we wore winter gear acquired from the Love Hotel itself.

The gear? A red Santa Claus outfit.

It might’ve been intended for cosplay, but it was warm, flexible, and perfect for snowy terrain.

Korukona wore one, too. Her version had cat ears on the hood, and the white fur trim stood out against her deep skin tone. The outfit was slightly oversized for her small frame, but that only made her look cuter.

”Isn’t this too cute for someone like me…?” she asked, blushing.

”Not at all,” I said, patting her head. “It suits you perfectly.”

”Really…? Hehe.” She gave a shy smile, tail flicking softly.

* * *

Today’s party included me, Korukona, Kéa, Yomi, and Rozmiaque.

Lifia stayed behind at the Adventurers Guild, assigned to guard Tifi.

Lately, the clans around town had grown suspicious.

Ever since we registered as adventurers, several clans had tried to recruit us. The skilled ones gave up after seeing we weren’t interested, but others kept pushing.

So far, they were only using words. But that could change soon.

Violence inside the Guild was rare, but we couldn’t take chances. Lifia’s presence added another layer of protection.

With her Spirit Magic, she could read emotions and intentions. Anyone suspicious would be caught instantly.

Plus, we’d stationed a demon sardine inside Tifi’s skirt for extra safety—though it wasn’t exactly visible. What we needed now was an obvious deterrent.

That was Lifia. In this town, people knew her skill. Anyone aware of her Spirit Magic wouldn’t dare make a move. As long as she was there, no one from the surrounding factions would touch Tifi.

Which meant… we could enter the dungeon without worry.

* * *

 ”Alright, let’s go!” I said.

”Yeah!” Korukona replied with a nod.

With that, we stepped onto the fourth floor—Magic-Draining Snow Mountain.

Korukona was armed with a dagger. Ideally, she would use chakrams or throwing knives, but those were rare and we hadn’t secured any yet. For now, the dagger would have to do.

Still, it was enough for training.

As we moved through the snow-covered slopes, monsters began to appear.

Snow sharks swam through the white powder—Frostscale. Hedgehog-like beasts shot ice needles—Frostspike Beast. Towering hairy yetis caused avalanches—Avalanche Ogre.

 Once, they were formidable foes.

But now? We could take them on with ease.

 ”Now, Korukona!” I called.

 ”Yeah!” she answered quickly.

Kéa and I charged forward, drawing the monsters’ attention and holding them in place.

Korukona slipped behind, her dagger flashing once, then again—quick and clean.

Each strike brought her experience. With each battle, her movements grew smoother.

She danced across the snow, climbing slippery slopes with feline grace. Her steps were light, fast, and elegant.

Her form was rough at first, but it sharpened as she fought.

Between battles, we searched for materials unique to this floor—Ice Honey Grass, Cold Fire Mushrooms, and more.

That’s when a new talent revealed itself.

”I smell something… And when the snow feels different, there’s usually something under it,” Korukona said, crouching.

We dug where she pointed—and found a cluster of Ice Honey Grass.

 Everyone was stunned.

Up until now, plant gathering was limited to what we could see. But in this magic-draining snow, even Rozmiaque’s plant magic had trouble locating anything underground.

Korukona didn’t need magic. Her beastfolk senses alone could sniff out herbs and even minerals beneath the snow.

That ability was a huge help.

Korukona wasn’t just nimble—she was gifted.

Whenever we collected enough materials, we sent them back to Beckus’s workshop at the motel.

Beckus and Nokiroul immediately sorted through everything, working on new weapon designs and prototypes.

So we kept fighting, resting, gathering… and pushing forward through the snowy mountains.

Several days passed in that rhythm.

 Then finally—news came.

 Korukona’s new weapon was complete.

Notes:

• Korukona – A cat-eared girl with amber eyes. She is brave but vulnerable, showing honesty and gratitude. Taro rescues her from the pirate and plans to send her to her village.

• Rozmiaque – High-ranking elf investigating large-scale Spirit Magic usage. Condescending, believes a High Elf is involved. Uses 6-letter Spirit Magic to trap targets. Displays contempt for half-elves and humans. Aggressive interrogator, possibly capable of sensing hidden information.
