Volume 1 Chapter 17 Avoiding the First BAD END

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

The following day, I arrived at school to find the classroom in an uproar. As I placed my bag on my desk, Ryota and his group immediately came over to me.

 ”Morning,” I said.

”Morning,” Ryota replied. “It’s chaotic in here today.”

He lowered his voice as he leaned in closer. “There’s big news.”

 ”Big news?” I asked.

”A guy from another class just got Reversed,” he said.1

I muttered in disbelief. A Reversal happens when a Strong-Male faces a Strong-Female in battle and loses. Every year, a few guys end up this way, which basically ends their futures as viable Strong-Males. It forms the first major BAD END branch in the story.

”Who was it?” I asked, though my stomach twisted with worry.

The upperclassman who fought me yesterday was not him. I was not him. I had hoped it was not the case, yet my fear turned out to be right.

”Komoda,” Ryota said. “Komoda from North Middle.”

 ”Are you sure?” I asked.

 The protagonist got taken out?

”I seem to recall he enrolled with a retinue of five Strong-Females,” I noted.

 ”Yeah,” Ryota said. “Exactly.”

”He didn’t look like he had that many problems to me,” I added.

”What? Did you know him?” Ryota asked.

”Not really,” I said. “Just that Risa and Yurina almost ended up fighting him. There was a bit of a scuffle because I couldn’t let them be taken away. I thought he was being unreasonable for picking fights with girls from other classes, but since it originally started because of Risa’s behavior, I just assumed he was one of those guys with an overinflated sense of justice.”

”I see,” Ryota said. “So there was some contact… and, though it’s a bit late to ask, the Instruction for those two was successful, right?”

Ryota glanced behind me at Risa and Yurina, who stood nearby. Until yesterday, I had been walking to school with just Chifumi, but starting today, the four of us made the trip together. I had even made sure their ribbons matched.

”Yeah,” I said, reaching out to pull Risa’s soft backside and Yurina’s slender waist toward my sides. “The Instruction went perfectly.”

 ”Ah…♡” Risa breathed.

 ”Ugh…” Yurina grunted.

Risa let out a soft sound even under this sexual harassment, while Yurina stayed stiff. Until yesterday Risa had been hostile toward me, and Yurina had been polite but distant. Ryota clearly understood exactly how I had instructed them.

”Well, I suppose there’s no chance of someone like Minoru getting Reversed,” Ryota said.

”Oh, don’t say that,” I laughed. “Risa actually gave me a good run for my money. She used some combat techniques she’d taught herself and managed to land a hit on me—it was impressive. I couldn’t help but put some extra heat into my Instruction. I’m looking forward to having her use that strength for my sake from now on.”

”…Did you happen to pull off a Second-Push?” Ryota asked.

”No, that was a bit much,” I said. “Both of them are on a First-Push.”

”Right,” Ryota said. “Yeah, that makes sense.”

Ryota seemed satisfied with my explanation. Meanwhile, Risa heard my words and her eyes lit up with energy.

”I will do my absolute best not to disappoint you, Minoru,” Risa said.

 ”That’s a good girl,” I replied.

With a pat and a squeeze, I released them. Instead, I pulled Chifumi close, settled onto my chair with her on my lap, and gave her a playful tickle.

”Hey, you’re embarrassing me~!” Chifumi protested.

I stopped her complaints with a grin. Besides, Chifumi is my number one—my favorite. In mobile game terms, she’s the character on the home screen. If I’m going to spoil Risa and the others, I have to spoil Chifumi even more.

”Anyway, let’s get back to the topic,” I said. “Where did the info on the Reversal come from? Is Komoda even in class?”

”It came from the girls he was holding—his Strong-Females,” Ryota explained. “They probably want to show they have no intention of opposing us other men. Rana asked around. Komoda is here, but… well, he’s basically half-dead. The dead look in his eyes is hard to watch.”

”He is effectively half-dead, after all,” I agreed.

 ”True that,” Ryota said.

Once you’re Reversed, you’re castrated. Put simply, your balls get crushed. A Strong-Male who has his pride shattered by a Strong-Female in a Review Battle will never be able to defy that female again. Until he graduates high school, Komoda will live his student life as a mere lackey to the Strong-Female who was supposed to be his underling. Rest in peace…

”Komoda from North Middle was somewhat famous, but it turns out that was largely thanks to the achievements of the Strong-Females he’d secured,” I said. “Rana, explain.”

Prodded by Ryota, Yamada-san, who had been waiting beside him, added more details.

”Regarding sorcery, athletics, academics, physical strength, committee work, and even volunteer service—Komoda-san was evaluated as highly competent in many areas,” Yamada-san stated. “However, it seems the ones who were actually doing the work were the Strong-Females by his side. It appears to be more accurate to say that the Strong-Females were simply propping him up; in terms of raw capability, they were better than Komoda-san from the start.”

The “Emperor’s New Clothes” syndrome. That hits close to home.

”Up until junior high, the achievements of the attendant Strong-Females were considered equal to those of the Strong-Male, so the evaluation wasn’t exactly ‘wrong’ per se,” she continued. “But now that he’s been Reversed, the personal assessment of Komoda-san is that he’s pedantic, obsessed with arguing from a place of ‘moral correctness,’ gives orders without doing anything himself, and his reputation doesn’t match his actual skill. If he were a strong man, it might be seen as charmingly composed, but now that it’s clear he’s a weak man, his only remaining traits are that he’s all talk and no action. Oh, and I heard this assessment directly from the Strong-Female who performed the Reversal. It’s not my personal opinion, by the way.”

”There you have it,” Ryota said. “For us, it’s a given that we have to be stronger than our own Strong-Females, but it turns out there were guys who weren’t.”

”Well, if that’s the kind of guy he is, he had the Reversal coming,” I said.

If I hadn’t had my epiphany back in elementary school and had instead come here full of arrogance with Manaka and the others, I might have been the one to get Reversed. I quietly thanked my luck for avoiding that BAD END.

After school, I invited Risa and Yurina to my home. As I walked down the hallway with Risa, who had agreed right away, and Yurina, who had nodded reluctantly, I saw a familiar figure approaching. It was Komoda-kun.

Despite having the handsome features common in this world, his eyes held no life. Behind him trailed his five Strong-Females. Until yesterday he had looked confident leading them, but now he looked like a dog on a leash, held by the very women he once commanded.

I considered stepping aside to avoid a collision.

 ”Just keep going…” Chifumi whispered.

Following her cue, I marched straight ahead. Komoda-kun only noticed me at the last second and nearly walked into me. He stared right through me with a severe, empty expression.

 ”My apologies,” Komoda-kun muttered.

One of the five women behind him bowed her head immediately. “Obstructing the path of a strong male is my master’s mistake.”

”No, it’s fine, we didn’t collide~,” Chifumi said, her voice light. “But… there won’t be a next time, right?”

”I understand,” the girl replied. “I will convey this to my master.”

Chifumi handled the situation smoothly and struck up a conversation with the girl. Her expression showed clear confidence that clashed with her deferential words. This girl was almost certainly the one who had Reversed Komoda-kun.

By the standards of this world, she was quite beautiful, with a great figure as well.

”Unfortunately, my master has some lacking qualities, so we, his subordinate Strong-Females, are currently advising him on how to become a more upstanding master,” the girl explained. “I ask that you all provide your Instruction as well.”

”That is a very good attitude~,” Chifumi said. “Understood. We look forward to working with you~.”

”Going forward, we have several matters that we, the Jonouchi party, wish to advise our master on, so we plan to request opportunities for Instruction after our battles,” the woman added. “We would like to include this matter as well.”

”Understood~,” Chifumi replied. “We look forward to it.”

Jonouchi-san, another Strong-Female introduced by the leader, bowed her head. She had a nice figure too. Chifumi, seeing her attitude, dismissed the matter with a nod.

Unlike the smiling Strong-Females across from us, Komoda-kun embodied pure despair. It seemed he already had his second battle scheduled.

Having lost once yesterday, he would lose again today. The trauma alone would be enough, and if he had received an order like “don’t win,” he wouldn’t be able to win even with skill. Every Strong-Male knows the first battle is a turning point in their fate. I felt a little sorry for Komoda-kun failing that check, but I had no real sympathy. It was his own fault.

At this rate, he would face a new battle against a different Strong-Female every day this week, locking in his place at the bottom. Being forced to lose again and again would crush his spirit as a Strong-Male. Reversal was truly a terrifying thing.

I watched Komoda-kun walk away with that dazed look. I had been thinking from the perspective of a Strong-Male, but when I considered it more deeply, that Strong-Female was simply doing what a Strong-Male is supposed to do.

I, too, intended to take the two I subdued yesterday to my home and teach them the habit of losing.

For Risa, first, I would plant the mindset that she was my personal “c**k case.” I would turn her into a female who could do nothing but be filled by me, one who prioritized my pleasure above all else and served me with everything she had.

For Yurina, since she wanted to keep her purity for now, I would develop her anal pleasures as a trade-off. It would be fun having a virgin who acted aloof but melted into lust the moment her rear was stimulated—a “virgin anal slave,” so to speak. Of course, I would eventually take her purity too. It was a double victory with the added satisfaction of cuckolding someone else.

”Minoru, unlike that small fry, you’re a strong male,” Risa said, her tone growing soft. “Stand tall~.”

”That’s right,” Yurina added. “You’re my master now, so I want you to have more confidence.”

 I stayed silent.

Risa had already adopted a mindset similar to Chifumi’s.

They were right. Was Komoda-kun actually the protagonist of this world? I had suspected it before, but seeing him get Reversed so easily made it seem unlikely.

There was a small chance he was a “time-loop” ability user who had given up on this timeline after a single loss, but it seemed impossible for him to remain a main character from this state.

I decided to forget about a classmate I barely knew and focus on leveling up with these three.

Dungeon training begins in a month. Between now and then, I would repeat sorcery combat training and sex to build up synergy for our team of four.

We started walking toward my house.

 Summary:

Minoru arrives at school to learn that a fellow student, Komoda, has been Reversed and is now completely subjugated by his female subordinates. Witnessing Komoda’s spiritless condition serves as a reminder of the risks of losing social status in this world, and Minoru uses the incident to reaffirm his control over his own group of female companions. The chapter concludes with Minoru plotting his next steps for training and conditioning his own retinue before dungeon training begins.

 —

 Trivia:

A Reversal in this world results in the physical and psychological castration of the male.

Komoda was initially considered competent, but his reputation was largely sustained by the efforts of his female attendants.

A Reversal turns the former master into a servant of the females who defeated him until he graduates high school.

Minoru intends to train his retinue, Risa and Yurina, through combat and sexual conditioning at his home.

 Translation Notes:

1 A social and physical status demotion occurring when a Strong-Male loses a battle to a Strong-Female, resulting in total loss of authority and agency.

Notes:

• Ryota – An outgoing, loyal middle school student in Minoru’s class, he acts as his peer group’s unofficial spokesperson and a keen observer of school power dynamics. As a well-connected information source, he leads his own group of female students. He is a supportive, constant presence who frequently offers encouragement to peers, while maintaining a unique, personal fondness for “miracle body lines.”

• Komoda – Once a high-status leader who enforced rigid social hierarchies and commanded a group of five, this student has plummeted to a pariah status following a crushing Review Battle defeat. Now a shell of his former self with lifeless eyes, he serves those who once followed him. Despite his current subservience and declining health, his past influence continues to impact his complex class relationships.

• Yurina – A disciplined, black-haired swordfighter and dungeon explorer, she is a Japanese-beauty type student in Minoru’s group. Beneath her proud, stubborn facade, she struggles with emotional turmoil, coerced into a sexualized service role while resisting training. Often stiff and subordinate to Chifumi and Risa, she balances her role as an Apparition-battling partner with a desperate effort to maintain her purity.

• Risa – A long-haired student with a gyaru aesthetic and sharp, upward-slanting eyes, she once held a hostile, headstrong personality. Now a devoted subordinate in Minoru’s group, she serves him with blissful obedience, prioritizing his pleasure. Capable at cooking Western meals, she enjoys provocative banter and wears attire chosen by her master, having traded her feral nature for total submission.

• Chifumi – Minoru’s 15-year-old childhood friend and classmate is a scrawny, long-haired frost/water mage who serves as his devoted Majo. Cheerfully naive yet sharply-tongued, this deceptively strong warrior acts as his proxy in matches, confident, and combat support. She balances a flirtatious, trendy, and cat-like demeanor with aggressive, dominant combat prowess while faithfully following his instructions.

• Minoru – An athletic student leader reincarnated with 21st-century memories, he navigates a world of reversed beauty standards as a strategic, shock-wielding Majin. Calm and calculated, he avoids social ruin by asserting dominance, training female subordinates through rigid mastery contracts and a system of ranks. He leads a dungeon-exploring party, treating those under his care as resources for his ascent.

• Rana – A tall, heavy-built student who leads Ryota’s circle and acts as his combat partner. While maintaining a close relationship with Senfumi, she also serves as the group’s information broker, actively tracking social standings to support their objectives.

• Yamada – A female student and associate of Chifumi, she once served as the group’s voice of reason before her identity was fundamentally altered by Instruction. Her transformation is marked by a vacant, hollow demeanor. Now serving as an informant and administrative assistant, she provides analytical breakdowns of her peers’ social standing and combat efficacy to support the group’s operations.

• Manaka – A former student linked to the Tatemiya house, she is the leader of the five Initial Strong-Females who established a school social hierarchy. Though she shares a childhood history with Minoru, she has since separated from his circle and maintains an independent identity from his current group.

• Jonouchi – A female student who has taken control of Komoda after his defeat. She is stylish, capable, and acts as a liaison for disciplinary instruction.
