Chapter 200 The Magic Knight and the Duelist

That’s right! Today was the autograph session for a brilliant rookie idol! The day I finally get to meet my number one favorite, Kokuryoin Kaguya-chan…!
I got my signed CD and shook Kaguya-chan’s hand. Today, I am officially invincible…!

Feeling giddy, I hopped off the train and started walking home along the dark, quiet streets. I figured the patrol with Ducky, Mel-run, and Koshi would probably start back up tomorrow….
I was thinking about that when I happened to glance at a park I was passing.
”Eh…” I muttered.
A tall woman was standing in front of the park’s public restroom. She was nearly as tall as I was. But her skin was porcelain white, and her figure was slender and very feminine.
More than anything, I was struck by her beauty and the color of her hair. Her eyes were closed, but her features were clearly Western. And that pure white hair was incredibly striking.
(So beautiful…) I thought.
Even with my preference for little girls, I couldn’t help but be impressed.
The fair-skinned lady turned her face toward me, but since her eyes were closed, I couldn’t tell if she was actually looking at me.
Well, staring would be rude. I wanted to get home quickly so I could take a deep sniff of the palm that shook Kaguya-chan’s hand.
I decided to just pass by… but that was when it happened.
”Sorry to keep you waiting, Vectra-san,” a man said.
A man stepped out of the restroom. It seemed she had been waiting for him.
What kind of guy gets to be with a beauty like that? I wondered, looking at his face.
”Heh…” I gasped.
……! No mistake about it…! That man…! From that time…!?
In that instant, something hot surged up from deep within my body. I recognized the sensation, but then my consciousness cut out.

On the second day, I was giving Vectra-san a brief tour of the area.
I tried to pick places with as few people as possible, but her appearance was just too striking. I guess it couldn’t be helped….
Along the way, I also engaged in sexual intercourse outdoors to facilitate the Magic Power supply. We moved into the trees along a mountain path and did it in a standing position from behind.

”Ami-chan, Vectra-san. I’m going to the restroom real quick,” I said.
”Alrighty~ noja,” Ami-chan replied.
It’s still a bit of a walk to the house. I finished my business and stepped outside. That was when the change occurred.
”…Huh?” I muttered.
Light suddenly burst in front of me. I looked to see what happened, and there stood a woman with a longsword, wearing a high-leg knight-style outfit.
”T-That girl is…!?” I exclaimed.
”No way!? We were found!? Wait, but the Demonic Eye hasn’t activated…?” Ami-chan asked.
No mistake…! She’s one of the three from that time…! The one who treated me like a criminal at the pool…!
Ami-chan and I stayed on guard, watching for the other two. But the Magical Girl knight was alone. And she didn’t even move despite me being right in front of her.
”…!? A-Ami-chan…!? What’s going on…!?” I asked.
”I don’t know… but Vectra, watch the perimeter! I’m starting the preparations for teleportation noja!” Ami-chan commanded.
In that case, I should stay close to protect Ami-chan…! I’ll keep my Dominator skill
Then, a burst of light appeared right next to the tall Magic Knight. The cat I saw before appeared there.
’Nu…! An Orgoamii and the Demon Lord…! So it really is them…! But who on earth is that girl…?!’ the cat demanded.
”Hmmmm…? Dum-cchi came late…? But the other two haven’t shown up yet…?” Ami-chan wondered.
’Kh…! But it’s fortunate that the Magical Girl bodyguards aren’t here! We’ll settle this right now…!’ the cat declared.
As the cat spoke, the Magic Knight took a stance with her sword. Come to think of it, that cat grants power to girls and then manipulates them.
And apparently, while transformed into a Magic Knight, their original existence isn’t recognized by this world. It’s complicated, and I only half-understand it.
”I don’t quite understand… but I assume you are enemies?” Vectra asked.
”Vectra-san! Take this…!” I said.
I pulled Vectra-san’s weapon, the halberd <Star-Strike Battle Axe Volkein>³, out of the Treasure Trove. Since the Treasure Trove’s level increased, I’ve been able to store it.
Vectra-san took the weapon and took a stance against the Magic Knight.
’Prepare yourself!’ the cat yelled.
The Magic Knight vanished from my sight… but then, the sound of clashing metal rang out.
I looked toward the sound and saw Vectra-san and the Magic Knight clashing weapons.
”Fu…!” Vectra grunted.
In close-quarters combat, Vectra-san had the complete advantage. While she blocked every strike of the Magic Knight’s flurry, Vectra-san had already landed several blows with her own weapon.
’What?!’ the cat exclaimed.
Just as she forcibly broke her opponent’s stance, the halberd’s blade drew a black arc and caught the Magic Knight’s torso.
However, her body wasn’t sliced apart; instead, she was sent flying into the playground equipment.
The Magic Knight, despite taking massive damage, held up both hands as if it were nothing. Multiple light orbs were fired from them.
But Vectra-san swatted them all aside and closed the distance in an instant. Then, drawing another black arc, the halberd swung down.
’Kh…!’ the cat hissed.
The Magic Knight caught the blow with her sword. But Vectra-san’s physical strength was extraordinary. The Magic Knight was sent flying along with her sword, and one of her arms was clearly broken.
She tumbled across the ground. Looking closely, she had scratches all over her body and was bleeding. In fact…
”Vectra-san…! S-She’s strong…!” I said.
”The Duelist class really is something else!” Ami-chan added.
A duelist who displays unrivaled power in a one-on-one fight…! This is too overwhelming…!
”What’s wrong? You don’t seem as skilled as I heard… with that level of ability, you won’t reach me no matter what you do,” Vectra said.
’Impossible… is that woman a new member of the Twelve Demonic Generals?! Has one already manifested…?!’ the cat cried.
”…Ami-chan. What are the Twelve Demonic Generals?” I whispered.
”They’re the twelve Unique Individuals⁴ that the previous Quester had manifested noja~” she explained.
I see… it seems the previous Quester-san had manifested all of the Unique Individuals.
’Ridiculous…! The Twelve Demonic Generals should only be able to operate within the Dominion…! But this is not the Dominion…! What did you do, Orgoamii?!’ the cat demanded.
”Think I’ll tell you noja? But since the other two haven’t appeared even in this crisis, and no spatial recognition interference has been set… I bet this situation was unexpected for you too, Dum-cchi noja?” Ami-chan teased.
’……!’ the cat growled.
I don’t know what’s going on, but is this a chance…?! I whispered to Ami-chan.
”Should we just let Vectra-san take care of that cat?” I asked.
”Hmm~… that’s a bit of a gamble,” she replied.
”Eh…?” I muttered.
”If he’s cornered, that guy will get serious noja. Even if the manifestation only lasts a few seconds, there’s a chance we could lose in that time,” she explained.
I-Is he really that strong…?! I heard he was one of the top three combat types, but still…!
But it’s true, if I only had a few seconds, I’d aim for Ami-chan directly rather than Vectra-san. Ami-chan probably isn’t certain she can block a full-power attack.
While we were talking, the Magic Knight stood up.
”Ugh…” the girl groaned.
There was no light in her eyes, and her face remained expressionless, but her body was a wreck. Her bones were broken, and just looking at her was painful.
”Dum-cchi, you’re brutal. That girl is just a frail human underneath, right? Are you planning to use her up just because she’s unconscious?” Ami-chan asked.
’If it ensures the peace of the dimensions, I’m sure the girl would be willing,’ the cat replied.
”Wow, you really mean that. I think that girl would value her daily life much more than something as vague as dimensional peace,” Ami-chan retorted.
The Magic Knight took up her sword again. I-If they fight any more… she’s going to die…?!
As I started to panic, Ami-chan whispered to me.
”He probably didn’t expect to run into us either. There don’t seem to be any pursuers nearby… but if we stay here too long, it’ll cause a scene noja. Since we don’t know when his allies might show up, let’s escape with teleportation noja,” she suggested.
”Eh… is it okay?” I asked.
”I’m still using the spatial search interference like before~” she said.
I see… then it should be fine. And as Ami-chan said, if we take too long, reinforcements might show up.
Since it’s difficult to settle things with that cat here, we should probably withdraw quickly.
In front of us, the fight between Vectra-san and the Magic Knight had resumed. But the outcome was obvious. Vectra-san was beating the Magic Knight down without mercy.
”Whoa…” I muttered.
The Magic Knight was bleeding from her nose despite her expressionless face. Her fingers were broken, and I couldn’t help but want to look away.
”…Ami-chan. If we teleport like this, what happens to that girl?” I asked.
”The moment her transformation wears off, she’ll probably be crying from the massive injuries noja~” she replied.
Right… she’d probably need months to recover. I don’t have a good impression of her, but… I still think it’s pitiful.
”H-Hey. Can’t we take her back with us and treat her…?” I asked.
”Heheh noja. I thought you might say that. But in that case, there’s a risk of the other world’s existence being discovered, you know noja?” she warned.
”Eh…” I muttered.
”Because we’d be taking her away while she still has Dum-cchi’s power in her. Oh, of course the teleportation search interference is working, so it’s not like they’d immediately invade the other world…” she added.
So, while they might not pursue us to the other world yet, they might realize that the Dominion is expanding in another world.
I want to heal her wounds with the power of Lace Agate, but weighing the risks and benefits is tough. It’s sad, but if we’re being safe, we probably shouldn’t take her.
As if to push my decision, Ami-chan added,
”Well, I do want to analyze Dum-cchi’s power. If we can take her while she’s transformed, there might be enough benefit to justify a little risk.”
”……! Vectra-san! Neutralize that girl and bring her over here!” I ordered.
In that instant, Vectra-san unleashed a flurry of blows too fast for the eye to see. Her whole body was battered, and both her arms and legs were broken, but the Magic Knight tumbled to the ground without a sound of pain.
Vectra-san threw the girl over her shoulder with one hand and flew back to us.
’Wait…!’ the cat shouted.
”We’re not waiting~. Oh dear, how pitiful noja. Look how battered she got just because she listened to Dum-cchi’s sweet talk noja~,” Ami-chan teased.
’You are the ones who did this…!’ the cat yelled.
”Nope, it’s your responsibility noja! Well then, we’re taking this girl as a trophy! Bye-bye noja!” Ami-chan said.
’Orgoamii!’ the cat screamed.
The cat’s scream was cut short. The scenery in front of me was no longer a park, but the familiar room of the Great Phantasmal Soulstone⁶.

• Gin – A friend of Kiraurumi who craves excitement and is secretly a ‘lolita enthusiast’ complexed about her own tall stature. She sees the world-saving mission as a ‘plane ride over a river’ of boredom.
